Windows 7. PC to HDTV HDMI connection

Several months ago, I have connected my PC to an HDTV via a HDMI cable. The computer has detected the TV and it was listed among my devices in the control panel. I selected "To extend these screens" and could spread on my PC and see it on my TV. I tried yesterday and could not use "extend these screens. HDTV icon went from "Devices" on the Control Panel, and a second for my computer screen icon on "devices". By selecting "Change the appearance of your display" TV is on the display list. The only one I see desktop on TV is to select 'show the office only on 1.

  • Satellite L650 - HDMI connection for external monitor

I've linked the laptop to my Sony LCD TV via HDMI, no problem. I have a (Acer, 24-inch) LCD monitor that has a HDMI port also. I used it to play ps3 and xbox360 via HDMI connection, no problem. I have two lines HDMI 1.3. The two lines are working without any problems.

However, when I connect my laptop to my LCD Acer just external LCD monitor can t work properly. I can barely see what is display on the monitor, very snowy. It's hard to describe. I took a photo but don't know where to download it here.

I tried both HDMI lines, but both failed. I tried to change a few settings in the laptop, but nothing makes any difference. I'm looking for the driver for video card on the Web from Toshiba website and found that my current license is updated.

I'm not a tech geek, but I think that I don't know something on the computer. Am I missing something here?

Guys (and girls), please throw in an idea (tooth tell me to check if the connection is good, I don't already).
    Thank you

    Hey,.

If you connect your laptop to external monitor and press the FN + F5 key combination what happens exactly? Pressing the FN + F5 key combination shows different options and you should test with external monitor only (not the clone image). If you work on external monitor doesn't do this work?

In addition, you must connect the devices before starting their.

Also, take a look in the BIOS and try to load the default settings. Make sure that that the HDMI cable is connected before starting Windows and check the status again.

By the way: what operating system are you using exactly?

  • Bad resolution of Qosmio G30 - external display via the HDMI connection-

Hello! This problem makes me crazy, please help if you can...

I just bought a G30-102 and I am trying to use it with an external display via the HDMI connection. The problem I have is that the native resolution of 1920 x 1200 cut the edges of the screen and the quality looks terrible - its almost as if the entire screen is enlarged. I tried with a BenQ FP241wz initially (1080i is 1920 x 1200) and the Toshiba helpline could not find a solution either - even after painfully reinstall all the drivers, etc..

Its been going on for so long, I thought I'd try it out with my HDTV instead, just to be sure it wasn't a monitor problem. So I tried with my Toshiba 32WLT66 - and come to find that it has exactly the same problem.

All the display settings appear to be correct and the G30 is convinced that the result is correct, so I have now it is - don't you think not that this is a problem with my HDMI port?

Please help, I'm a designer, and it is essential that I use the machine on a large screen. If it is a hardware of the G30 problem, I need to talk to Toshiba immediately replace or fixing.

    Hello

I tested the Qosmio G30 (HD-DVD) with my LCD TV using a HDMI cable. Everything worked perfectly. As a first step, I put 1080i value in the settings of the BIOS and after following the instructions in the HDDVDGuide document under http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB6A01LH000LR01.htm

I'm trying to connect my HP Touchsmart 600 (oem Win 7) to my Samsung 850 HDTV using the HDMI connections. Both devices (PC & TV) do not even each other. Do not know how to proceed. Any thoughts there. I though it would be simple to s cable and go.

The port hdmi input graph based solely on a call back from HP support. It's disappointing because I had two HP tell me that it was an hdmi output.

  • Option of surround sound clothes outside with HD4870 HDMI connection after installation of SP1 Vista54

Clothes outside with HD4870 and HDMI connection surround sound option
I just built an HTPC and installed SP1 Vista64 and I have a problem. I have a DFI LanParty very X 58-T3H6 motherboard and a VisionTek Radeon HD 4870 video card with HD audio. I have a HDMI cable to my Sony AV receiver and all I get is Audio stereo. The subwoofer never wakes from sleep, or AV receiver indicates anything but a stereo input.

I have the RealTek HDMI audio device installed, and he says he's working properly in Device Manager. Under properties, what is proposed is stereo speakers. Surround sound is presented as an option, but it is grayed out and not selectable. All drivers are up to date from four days and I have the on-board sound card mother disabled in the BIOS and it does not appear in the Windows Device Manager, nor are there any other audio device except the RealTek HD HDMI audio device.

Other HDMI devices, such as my XBOX 360, a surround sound very well via the AV Sony receiver.

VisionTek support told me to install the RealTek HDMI driver, I did, but that's all the help they were able to give me.  The problem persists.  Surround sound is gray under sound properties for this device,

I took the HDMI cable from HDMI port on the video card and plugged on my XBOX 360 and I get surround sound, so I know that the cable and the audio/video receiver is configured correctly.

If anyone has an extra idea about it, I know you more!

    Thank you!

  • No sound from the HDMI connection Toshiba Bluray player BDX2100

    Hello

I'm a newbie so I don't know if I'm in the right room or not, I want to ask that I have a Toshiba Blu Ray player model number or to number BDX2100 I have set up my fine reader TV and blu ray.

There is one thing when I play my TV to HDMI 1 or 2, the image appears but there is no noise at all when I go on the Blu Ray in the audio settings menu it says 2nd audio or something to do with the HDMI is turned off.
Oh I'm 100% sure and my tv is Sharp Aquos LC-22LE320 is not the TV because when I put the SCART lead in or put it on AV it works fine.

The only problem is the sound with HDMI connection. If anyone can help, it will be very happy because it has been me bloody crazy.

    Hi mate

It is a Toshiba computer / laptop computer forum.
You will meet people who want to talk about options for laptops and Toshiba laptops.
I doubt anyone here would be able to help you with this drive blueray.

But in your case, I would first check the settings of the TV you.
Check whether the sound via the HDMI port is enabled.

    > in the settings audio, it says the 2nd audio or something to do with the HDMI is turned off.
I don't know why 2nd audio is mentioned there but maybe you should check if you can switch this 1 audio (audio main stream) m

I recommend also consulted this blueray Player user manual.

If you have a Toshiba SSD in your laptop there is a problem in windows 7, making it impossible to connect to the system when the storage TOSHIBA utilities are installed. In this case, you will need to find a way to get the system and uninstalling.
