  If you click inside the pain of the preview, you can zoom using CTRL + the mouse wheel. I have tested only with a text file.

  They should not be there! The cache is just another name that the Windows shell (the interface between you and Windows) use for temporary Internet files. If you moved TIF, shell: cache now brings you to the relatively empty folder. If so, you should have no problem, remove the old bloated TIF folder. You must use SHIFT + DELETE to do; otherwise, Windows will spend ages copy all the content in the Recycle Bin in case you change your mind. It might take some time (even hours or minutes) to remove so much superfluous things, it might be a good idea to do just before going to bed and hope that nothing hinders while you sleep, then take a look in the morning to check that it is all gone.

  This question was apparently answered by uninstalling ie9, but the time is coming where ie9 will be installed by windows update.  I have a laptop running Vista Edition family Basic, and a desktop running vista Home premium and both have the same problem since ie9 installed.  The preview pane header seems to have had its fonts changed or altered to the leaner and the trombone for attachments disappeared completely.  Remove ie9 is not a solution.

  You can't right click, you have to click once to highlight the file you want to preview.

  However, you must have installed preview Manager program.  Windows can preview most of the images (jpg, bmp, gif), but others, like the photoshop files, need another program installed.

  All know how to set the size of the Preview windows exployer pane.  I can't remember or 'stick' to the adjusted size.  It always develops a great size, concealing of file information (name, date modified, size, etc...) it's very great pain.

• Windows Explorer preview pane function hangs Word when trying to preview Word documents.

  I have a problem with the Windows Explorer and the preview pane.  When I activate the pane at the bottom and try to view a Word Document it blocks Word even if Word is not open.  What happens on Windows 7 x 64 systems, we have many systems with the same question.   Does anyone have a solution?

  I tried the SFC/scannow, start in safe mode, disabling startup items and Services, and it happens again every time I try to get a glimpse of a Word document.

• Resizing in Windows Explorer preview pane

  When I try to resize the preview pane in Windows Explorer, it is almost impossible to get the spinner as the "access zone" (not sure what to call this Sweetspot) should be very low.  If I can get the double arrow and hold down the left button of the mouse the spinner turns into a single arrow.

  I have the same problem with the preview pane of Outlook.  When I get the double-headed arrow, hold down the left mouse button and drag... opps!  It is therefore more a double arrow.

  Your supposed to hold down the left button of the mouse / less than your left-handed?

  Then, you would need spend the right-handed left buttons of the user functions.

  Then the thumbnail preview does not appear in the photos and other files, Folder Options must be changed accidentally. Follow the steps below:

  1. on the Start menu search bar, type options of folders , and then press enter

  2. folder Options will pop up, click on the view tab, located in the upper part.

  3. under the section files and folders, uncheck the box that says "'always show icons, never thumbnails". "

  4. click on apply.

  Restart the PC if it still shows the icon instead of thumbnails. If symptoms persist, perform the following steps:

  1. right click on computer , then click on Properties.

  In Windows Explorer, click on organize / folder options and search / view tab.
  Remove the check mark from the always show icons never thumbnails option.
