Windows 7 Pro installation options (detail)

It's my first time installation/experience Windows 7 Pro and I am writing to ask if there is an option for install the OS with the partitions, boot & system settings control?

When I started in the 7.0 installation disc for the first time that I was appalled to see him take the first partition and proceed to install it without user/admin options.  Surely, I have a way of exercising the formatting of the NTFS partition when installing 7.0?  Thanks for your help.

s

As long as the disc is not pre formatted before installing Windows 7, the installation, Windows will create the necessary partitions. Also if you choose 'custom' / clean installation option will ask you as to where you want to install Windows.

  • Windows 8 Pro Installation error 0xE0000100

When installing Windows 8 Pro, when I start the installation, I get an error saying

"Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Check that the installation sources are accessible and restart the installation. "Error code: 0xE0000100.

I'm not able to install Windows and I don't have any OS installed on the PC. What should I do?

I just had this error and correct him.

In my case, I had an older version on Windows on the drive, but it really was a problem with the disk partition.

I started on a DVD of Win7, but I think a Win8 DVD should have available also.

Select the repair, since you don't have any OS installed you must get to a command prompt.  It's easier to do on the Win8 DVD, choose Advanced Options, and then command prompt.

The DVD of Win7, I had to choose repair.  He asks for your image.  Once again, since a new installation you do not have an image, click on the X as you would to close a program.  It takes you into the 'advanced repair options' and choose command line.

Run DISKPART, and he runs the utility.  He always seems to be a DOS window, but it is actually the DISKPART util, in that you are.  Change a drive letter and a folder to read only DISKPART

While in there, type HELP and it shows you all available commands.

    1. SELECT disk 0 (only drive in the system)
    2. LIST of partition
    3. SELECT PARTITION 1
    4. DELETE Partition 1 (I had already done while it was attached as a USB on my Win7 computer using the computer Manager, but he was still displayed as it when I posted using the Win8)
    5. Typed the LIST again once and there are no partitions.

It is not case-sensitive.  Type HELP if you need to find the exact command.  Type HELP command-NAME to get help on a specific command.

  • Windows XP Pro installation

I have a pavilion dv6108nr laptop.  The original HD 80 G crashed.  Bought a new 160 G HD and tried to install Windows XP Pro.  Once the installation of XP has loaded from the cd and I pushed "enter" to install, I got the message "Setup has not found any hard drives installed in your computer." ... 'the installation cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3. »

I had done several XP installs on the desktop and don't have a problem.  This is the 1st installation on a laptop?  I checked the bios at startup upwards to see if the HD must be installed here, but there is no such feature.

I tried a second nine HD (think the first HD could be faulty) and still got the same message.  Any help or suggestion on how to get the installer to recognize that the HD can get in shape for the installation would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you...

Check in your BIOS for a setting to disable the Sata.I natives am almost sure that it is available on this model.

I know that you do not supported Windows XP more, but... I had to replace the hard drive on my laptop. Now, I need to reinstall the OS, but of course, have no installation CD. It's Windows XP Pro and the product key is on the label. I want to stay with XP for now. Is there anywhere I can download the installation on a CD disc?

Unfortunately not.  But is you know someone who has a Windows XP computer with the XP CD "commercial" version see if they'll let you borrow it so you can re - install XP.

Once installation is complete you check the manufacture of mobile support site to see if they still list the drivers XP, you will need to download and install.

Also consider making a backup of the Image on an external USB drive as a means of protection if you need to re - install XP, simply use the most recent backup) of the drive if you ae able to install and activate XP using your key successfully.

  • Clean Windows 8 PRO Installation

I would like to do a new install of Windows 8 PRO on my Dell Inspiron 17R, 1720. For this application, I use a Samsung 850 EVO SSD drive. My question is:

Can I use Windows 8.1 PRO builder OEM DVD 64-bit system to do an install on Dell Inspiron 17R clena, 1720?

Will be my BIOS and the activation key for windows to the current address allows me to perform a new installation using this OEM DVD?

    Thank you very much

    Yury

If this is the same version of Windows ships with the other system, yes you can.

You cannot use a Pro disc for a system of documentation that came with the standard version of Windows 8, though.

  • I have a Windows 8 Pro license, where I can download Windows 8 Pro installation media?

    Hello

I have a Windows 8 Pro license and I would install Windows 8 Pro.

I want to know where I can download the installation media for Windows 8 Pro?

    I don't have a Windows machine.

    Thank you

What type of machine are you tempted or need to install Windows on? You can download the installation of 90 day trial Windows Enterprise 8.1 it then use it to facilitate the download of Windows 8 Pro.

The 90 day trial of Windows Enterprise 8.1 is provided as one. ISO file you can burn it to a blank DVD and install on a blank hard disk or a partition:

  • Windows xp pro installation re...

Hi all. I think I made a boo boo! My computer was getting slower and slower and this hour glass symbol appears too often so I thought that I reinstall Win XP Pro drive cleaning and start like new. Then I started the computer, put my XP Pro disc in the drive, he asked me what I wanted to do, I said to re - install xp and off he went. He asked me for the key, I entered, it continued on more and then stops, restarts and boots from the CD. Just at the moment where he gets to the part where its ready to install and I have to press 'enter' to do this, it stops again. I restart manually and still when it comes to where I have to 'ENTER' to continue, she stops again. I tried the same thing with xp Home Edition, but the same thing happens before "ENTER". So now I can't use the computer at all. It is a computer tailored from 2007. All I get now is a blue screen when its configuration, and before that I "GET" his farm down. Any help please.
