Windows 7 Professional 64-bit disables 4 of 6 USB 3.0 rear Ports

Greetings,

I run a card mother Gigabyte GA-z77x-up4 with 6 ports USB 3.0 at the back. And with 2 ports USB 3.0 USB 2.0 and 2 in front. Once windows is loaded the USB 3.0 ports 4 back to become disabled. They still have power on (the led on some devices), but no device is recognized. If a device is plugged into these 4 defective ports, the error message "this device drivers have not been installed. (Code 28) "appears in the device with a yellow exclamation point Manager.

I've tested all the front and rear USB ports with my keyboard in the Bios and Linux, all work and recognize the keyboard entries.

Under Windows I have:

Uninstalled/Reinstalled drivers USB/USB Host Controllers in Device Manager

Check each USB controller enabled "Computer can turn off this device to save power" (were)

"DisableSelectiveSuspend" line was added to the register in: Local_Machine/System/CurrentControlSet/services/USB

Changed the parameters of energy saving of USB in 'Off' on "Sélective USB Energy saving"

Digitized for the new hardware.

This problem occurred on a vanilla to installation of Windows 7 (with no drivers/updates installed), as well as restoring a backup of a Windows 7 installation up-to-date with fresh (to 23) drivers (May), or by using a subject an old backup of 1 year.

I'm running out of ideas what to do, as I keep plug devices outside all the time to compensate for the lack of 4 ports. Except to buy a USB hub and plug it into a port of lightning.

Two drivers for my Chipset USB were offered on the page of the official driver mainboard. I had to install Intel AND VIA. After that VIA has been installed, the other 4 USB ports are recognized. Problem solved.

  • Hibernate not available after powercfg-h on in Windows 7 Professional 32 bit

This is recently cleaned installation of windows 7 Professional 32 bit on my laptop HP Pavilion dv6330ea PC, had previously vista home premium 32-bit.

I noticed that the hibernation is missing. I have run cmd as administrator and run powercfg h
and restarted my system but always Hibernate does not appear.

Finally, I found a solution to my own post after a long time.

Hybrid sleep is another new feature of energy saving designed primarily for desktop computers. Hybrid sleep saves all open documents and programs in memory and on your hard disk, and then puts your computer into a low power state.

Unlike laptops, desktops have generally not focused on backup battery power. So a power failure sudden to a desktop in standard sleep mode, you risk data loss.

But with hybrid sleep is turned on, Windows can restore your work to your hard drive. On desktop computers, hybrid sleep is usually on by default.

When hybrid sleep is turned on, clicking sleep automatically puts your computer into hybrid sleep. When hybrid sleep is turned off, or if your computer doesn't support hybrid sleep, clicking Sleep puts the computer to sleep.

To enable or disable hybrid sleep:

    1. Open Power Options by clicking on the button start , clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance and then click Power Options.

    2. On the select a power plan page, click on change settings for the plan under the selected plan.

    3. The parameters of change for the plan of the page, click on change advanced power settings.

    4. On the Advanced Settings tab, expand sleep, expand hybrid sleep allow and then do one of the following:

      • If you are using a mobile PC, click on battery or plugged (or both), click the arrow, and then click.

      • If you are using a desktop computer, click setting, click the arrow and then click.

    5. Click OK and then click on save changes.

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

    Hello

I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.

what you need to do are:

    1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)

    2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB

    3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)

    4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.

    5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.

    6. then will show all disks in your system.

    7. continue with the installation process.

    hope this helps.

  • My laptop camera image on the upside after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

I have a laptop Asus G50Vt - X 1, which is a 64-bit computer. It had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit installed on it and the unit worked properly with him. I contacted Asus about the problem and they sent me the drivers updated, but the images are still upside down. Pourrait Windows 7 cause this problem as I know that it worked fine under Vista?

I also noticed that my dvd/cd player and external hard drives don't stop the execution after that I have quit an application. When this happens, I can't eject the cd or remove the drive from the computer.
