Windows 7 screensaver disorders

I use Windows Home Premium on my laptop Lenovo G560. I've never been able to get the screensaver to work while it is plugged. The screen saver turns on only if the laptop is running on battery power. I did everything I was told to do under Customize, but it won't work. Anyone has any ideas on what's going on?

Hi Paki,

Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Community Forums.  Rest assured that we will do our best to answer the question

According to the description, the screen saver does not work in Windows 7. I will definitely help you.

I suggest you perform the methods to identify the cause and correct the problem:

Method 1: I suggest you refer to the article to see if it solves the problem:

Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. I recently installed Windows 7 and now the screen saver will not work.  I have been informed that there is a problem in the Windows 7 operating system.  How can I solve the problem?  Any suggestions?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    There may be several problems with this behavior. The most common is a device that is active on the system and prevents the screen saver to detect a State of inactivity for time-out set...

    One of the most frequent reasons for the behavior you described is caused by one of the VOIP, such as MagicJack devices. If this unit is used, see the following link.

    Hello

    I'm having a similar problem as others who have posted in this screen savers do not work o my machine (Win 7 Ultimate 32 bit), I can't even preview any screen saver. I ran some of the suggestions in other posts without result. I have a combination keyboard and microsoft wireless mouse (mouse is a 5000 wireless and the keyboard is also the version 5000).

    I read in a post that there is a filter download that can help with this problem, I downloaded the file but don't remember considering all the instructions about what to do next. It is not an exe file just .cat, .inf, sys and a dll.

    I'm suppoosed to put in the folder of mouse/keyboard in my programs?

    Thank you

    Tom

    Tom,

    Try the following:
    Several registry settings must be modified to correct this problem. To change the registry settings, follow these steps.

    1. Open Notepad.
    2. Copy and paste the text in Notepad, keeping all empty lines, including a final blank line:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
    "ScreenSaverIsSecure" = '0 '.
    "ScreenSaveTimeOut" = "600".
    "ScreenSaveActive" = "1".

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop]
    "ScreenSaveActive" = DWORD: 00000001
    "SCRNSAVE. EXE "= -.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group policy Objects\LocalUser\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Control Panel\Desktop]
    "ScreenSaveActive" = "1".

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "NoSaveSettings" = DWORD: 00000000

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group policy Objects\LocalUser\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "NoSaveSettings" = DWORD: 00000000

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Group policy Objects\LocalUser\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer]
    "* del. NoSaveSettings "= -.

    3. Save the file as a .reg on your desktop file. For example, save the file as screen-saver - fix.reg.
    4. Double-click the file name to run it.

    NOTE: change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.

    Let us know if that helps with your question.

  • 32 bit Windows 7 download disorders pattern plating

    Recently, I had to do a restore to factory on my laptop which has swept everything clean.  I was able to reinstall Photoshop CS5 and went to reinstall the veneer of reason (I had installed successfully once before, not a month ago) and have had no success.  I installed the 32 bit version under Adobe Photoshop CS5\Plug-ins\ filters, but it does not appear when I restarted photoshop.  I reinstalled several times, using both the 32-bit and 64-bit version, restarted the computer, but nada have developed.  If someone had a similar problem, or think I do something wrong, I'd greatly appreciate their help.

    They're not going under \Users.

    Try to put them in the correct locations - I listed above - and I think you'll find that they work.

    Is an installer involved?  To get them in the right places, you might have to run the installer as administrator.

  • Problem with Windows Live Screen Saver - about Indeo codec

    Curiosity got the better of me and I tried an old favorite game on my Vista.  In fact, it worked, but now I have problems with my Windows Live screensaver.  He stops working whenever it starts.  Not too serious, but very annoying and we love our screensaver slideshow.  I uninstalled the game using the uninstall program, but the problem is still there...
    Here's the problem report that keeps coming back.  I'm ready to try the suggestions, but the link in step 1 doesn't seem to give me any information that would be useful.  I would try the second step, but I don't know if the unsubscription iac25_32.ax will mess thing up - and if so, how do I re - register... Help, please!

    Problem report

    has stopped working properly. is a codec. The file name of this codec is iac25_32.ax. To try to resolve this problem, follow these steps. One step might solve the problem, but if it isn't, then go to the next step.

    1. Click here to access the Intel Corporation Web site to check and install updates iac25_32.ax

    2. Use the regsvr32 command to unregister iac25_32.ax

      If you are unsure which program is causing the problem, you can delete iac25_32.ax from the list of codecs installed by cancelling registration there.

      Warning
      Iac25_32.AX deactivation will result in all programs that are based on the codec to stop working or lose functionality.

      1. Click on the Start button , then, in the search box, type command prompt. In the list of results, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

      2. At the command prompt, type regsvr32 /u iac25_32.ax, and then press ENTER. iac25_32.AX is now saved.

    UltraVNC seemed to work very well with win 7, but the only software of remote that I know works without fail and control on a very consistent basis, is the enterprise version of RealVNC. Yes, it costs money, but it is comparable to microsoft RDP, with additional features. They have a free version that does not cost any money and it's missing a few features. In a corporate environment, I am sure that this version is a no no.

    Hello

    1. find the blackscreen during the game on XP?
    2. using a dual-boot XP and Windows 7 configuration?

    You mentioned that you have installed XP on the drive again.

    I suggest you perform a clean boot to verify if a third-party program that runs background is causing the problem.

    See this article for more information on the clean boot:
    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    Steps to perform a clean boot:
    a. click the ORB start on your desktop
    b. type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
    If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    c. in the general tab, click Selective startup.
    d. under Selective startup, clear the check box load startup items.
    e. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box and then click Disable all.
    f. click OK.
    g. When prompted, click on restart.

    NOTE: Please check that you start the computer in normal mode after a repair. Follow step 7 article.
