Windows 7 taking a long time to connect to the wireless network
When I try to connect to the wireless network, it takes about a minute or two. I didn't have this problem until I updated my card wireless about a week ago.
Thank you very much. I think I solved the problem. I didn't have this problem until I updated my card with the latest wireless. But I uninstalled the new and re-installed version, and that seemed to solve the problem.

Long story short, I tried recently to "downgrade" my husband computer CQ60-210US laptop from Vista to XP. I followed the very detailed guide posted here and everything seems to work great but my computer does NOT connect to my home network. It comes as an available network, but when I try to connect it goes on to say that the network is no longer available - is yet to ask security key. I tried to click on the connection to a neighbor to see what would happen and it seems to go further (it asks me the security key). I can connect directly using the ethernet to the modem cable.
This laptop was initially working on my network wirelessly with Vista. I use a CLEAR 4 G wireless modem. The signal from the modem is good.
Can anyone help me identify the problem and propose a solution? Everything else seems to work well.
Thank you very much!

Problem of not seeing list drop-down connection to the wireless network when checking connections network - pc windows 7.
I just installed a Belkin modem-router - which went well. Can I connect WiFi gadgets etc. I can also connect to the internet via a network cable to my pc. I also installed a belkin usb wireless adapter and in Device Manager, says it is enabled and works.
My problem is, I have no way of choice get a WiFi PC to display in the list (from the notification area) and cannot get the pc to give me options to create a wi - fi connection. The more I get to try to do that is "unexpected error"!
If someone could help on this - I would be very grateful
Good news - update of my ongoing saga with this Belkin modem/router.
Got the pc to see wi - fi now. It turned out to be the Zone Alarm! As the router has a firewall, I uninstalled Zone Alarm completely. Also, I went into the properties of belkin usb and checked it was the most recent drivers, it does not so I installed them.
So far so good
Thanks for the help

Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network. If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.
Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click top - tab of the driver - write

Right click on the Wifi device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Wireless network adapter cannot connect to the wireless network
When I start my PC HP TouchSmart it does not recognize my wireless network. It says wireless network adapter cannot connect to the wireless network and the details said network adapter "Local network connection * 16 ' does not work properly. The strange thing is that if I leave my computer for a few minutes, then restart it twice, it recognizes the network and starts working. Frustrating is that I have to do this everytime I turn on my computer. It takes at least 10 minutes of starting and restarting my computer before it will recognize my wireless network. Any help?

B110A connects to the wireless network but no PC connection
Hi Forum,
I just bought a new HP Photosmart B110A printer range. I got set up with my Belkin wireless router. It is successfully connected. I could set up printing webservice as well. The printer is offline and I could also print a document by sending an email to the email address for the printer configuration. This means that the printer is connected to the wireless network and the internet.
However, I can not connect to this printer from my PC connected to the same wireless netwrok. When I open the HP Solution Center, it displays the message "disconnected wireless.
When I connect the printer via USB cable, I am able to connect to the PC and impressions as well fire.
Can anyone help please?
Kind regards

Comouter is no longer automatically connects to the wireless network.
Until recent netbook Hannsbook my wife automatically connected to our wireless network when turned on. We recently took a trip and used a different wireless network. Back home, he is no longer automatically connect when turned on. Software Troubleshooting in the Windows 7 Home Premium says he has been "manually disconnected' and it restores the connection. I deleted all the other networks wireless to the computer. Page manage wireless networks correctly identifies the network and says it should connect automatically. BUT IT'S NOT!
Once connected, the router works fine. The connection is NOT lost when the computer goes into power saving mode. How do we get to resume its old custom to connect automatically when the computer is powered? My wife is a technophobe and have to mess around to make the connection can be the drop of water!
