Windows 7 - "Try Again" error message when you move files, creating folder, etc.
When I try to move files, create a new folder or move a file, save a file with a new file, etc, I get an error message indicating "Item not found", with a description of "Cannot find this item", "this is no longer in C:\...» "," Check the location of the item and try again.
So far, I have tried the following:
· I have run CHKDSK on the drive. [chkdsk c: r], "CHKDSK" came back without error - the disk is a disk SSD
· I also ran "sfc/scannow", she also returned without error.
· I uninstalled all updates that occurred during the time that this came - tested, the computer and reinstalled them.
· Updates of Windows computer are all up to date.
I have in case I have to move several files, press the button 'Try Again' to each folder that I move. This becomes a big problem.
Any help to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

I am reorganizing my records of PSE 14.1 (and a few hours before using the PES 13) on Windows 10. This means that I'm moving them from one disk to another using the view of folders on the left panel of the PES.
Everything goes very well with the first shift after the launch of PSE. No error message and the files in the folder find you in the right place with the folder.
But for much of the subsequent move there is several error message boxes that must be pressed one by one to move forward. Much more than the number of files involved. However, ultimately files and folders get into their expected places. But with dozens and dozens of needless (?) Click on the OK button.
Error messages that I see are
- "A folder with the same name already exist in the requested location" - which is patently false, as I'm only moving called records and verifying that I won't have existing folders with the same name instead of the target. The record was 16 photos inside and the message popped up 55 times.
- "The operation could not be performed. "The error occurred because of invalid characters, read only location or existing folder with the same name"-this comes very often after the message stated above, but not always. And in multiples as well.
And every now and then the move operation is going well through.
I tried to understand if there is a model - but nothing so far... I use no "special characters" in the filenames etc...
Is there another way to move the folders? Is there a solution to this behavior?
Looks like I have at least found a way easier and more predictable and easier to reorganize my files: travel using Windows file / folder management tools-, then to reconnect files from PSE. In this way, I know how many dialog boxes, I need to treat every step - and it is much less than the way PES...
Yes, it was what I was going to suggest it.
I did not PSE14 because I'm away from home now. I've already met these messages before, and I think you are right that the first time you move a folder to a new empty destination tree, you do not have problems. I would not be surprised if there was a real bug in the display of folders when you move files repeatedly, but I was not able to reproduce the problem. A possible source of problems would be the way the folder hierarchy is updated in elements; I guess that to keep this folder updated tree, there is a procedure of "cache" to speed up the process (folders display in the tree should work with an image of the Explorer, supplemented by information in the catalog itself). Older versions were very buggy in folders view, but I'm not sure that the current version (since PSE11) is absolutely foolproof.
Move the folders step by step from the Explorer and reconnect immediately seem to be the best in your case.
I have a new webcam which is recognized by my computer but displays always the followed error message...

Hi, I have a problem here. The error message: "the media center doesn't answer, please confirm the device is turned on and connected to your network." appears whenever I try to access the file on the hub of media NMH300 browser. I tried to restart the unit, back to zero, but in vain. I always get the error message. I use the updated firmware 3.18.4. No idea how to solve this problem?
Also, I can't seem to restore the firmware to version 2.17 even if I did a reset of the device by pressing the reset on the back of the unit. any help on this?
Try to press on and press and hold the reset button on the back of the mediahub for 30 seconds then check if its now reset to the factory settings.
I'm curious, when you started having this problem it was in time when you created a folder under "File Browser"? Maybe the Linksys article below is the right way to create folders on the mediahub or just create a folder using the drive mapped.

Two issues here. Phoshop CS5 on Wind 7 64-bit.

First issue is since the last update automatic Adobe (why fix what is not broken?) Whenever I go out now Photoshop I get the message "Server QT Adobe has stoped working" and sometimes when I go out the bridge. InDesign behaves as evil. I can no longer start a previous document in the file without ID Manager crashing on.
The other is the sliders in the Clone and delete lose their advantage (become invisable) without any reason - well not quite. Noise Ninja crashed in Photoshop when I tried to use it. I reinstalled it and all is well. The issue of cursor seems to be intermittent but came back (for no reason), after that I reinstalled NN. I can't seem to change the cursor, no matter what I do. The problem now seriously affect how I work. Almost any return to Win XP, who ran perfectly in Photoshop CS5.
Any help will be accepted with gratitude.
Cursor problems are known to be caused by outdated video drivers (nVidia).
Assuming you have a nVidia (which model?) video card, go to their web site and download and install the latest video drivers for your card.
Also, this could very well solve your crash.
Don't forget the video drivers to apply the OpenGL system, on which Photoshop relies heavily.

Error arises in Word every time I have switch between the tabs of the Ribbon in Word. Sometimes even if a new blank document is open.
Does not affect the functionality as far as I know and the error is easily rejected, but still, it appears each time I have interact with the Ribbon.
Ran a repair on Word and Acrobat, has not helped.
Do you have any other package add-ins installed in Word? Do you receive similar errors in other applications where PDFMaker is installed, such as Excel or Outlook?
Workaround (because this does not seem to have an impact on the feature) is to open the Word Options, click 'Advanced' and uncheck "display software component snap-in user interface errors" in the section "General".

It is only a problem for the SiteAdvisor users who are still on 3.4. This problem is resolved in the latest version of SiteAdvisor, which is 18.104.22.168. Go to http://siteadvisor.com and click on download. This will fix the problem.
Meanwhile, SiteAdvisor team will push down a JS update in the coming days 1-2 to automatically resolve this problem in version 3.4.

If you have windows installed on your computer security essentials, then you will not be able to install Windows defender. Windows Security Essentials has antispyware component installed.
You get the error because you have installed MS Security Essentials, which has its own function to antimalware. You don't need or want to install Windows Defender, too. Leave MS Security Essentials installed and do not turn it off.

When the computer that is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition, I get a computer of saying error message fails genuine validation test.
