Windows 7 update does not

My entire hard drive crashed, lost everything.  The recovery process has not worked.  I replaced it with a new (1 to).  I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE 410t with 8 GB or ram.  I have Windows 7 discs.

I installed Windows again, but I meet all kinds of questions.

(1) Windows update does not work - guard telling me the service is not running.  Checked, and this is according to the system.

(2) .net framework does not install

(3) another strange thing is that some web pages KB MS are not allowed by EI.  Very strange.

I'm about to order the recovery media to my system via the website of HP, but I would like to hear if there are suggestions from the community.

Thanks in advance.

Hello

Of your HP PC support site shows that you have an Intel Chipset. If you need to download and install this driver.

Here is the driver download site for your PC with all the available drivers and software.

Here are instructions on running the diagnostics of startup time.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello

I did now 2 installs fresh with the HP recovery discs and both windows update does not work. I tried different patches from microsoft that I found online in this regard and nothing works.

I don't know if it's related, but said SP1 is installed, but when I look in the installed updates it isn't here. If I try to uninstall from a command promt it says is not installed and if I try to install it from the microsoft download it says it is installed.

It makes me crazy. I was expecting it to work from a clean install, but it doesn't.

    Any help would be great.

    Hello

Welcome to the HP Support forum. Thank you for posting.

If it says SP1 is included, it means it is included and comes with the system, so you can not unintall it - it is part of the system - built in. You will not see the updates installed because it's built, do not subsequently installed.

It is a known problem that now when you perform a clean installation of Windows 7, the installation updates will be delayed. This is due because of many things including the fact that W7 is more priority Microsoft because of new OS on the juice of the horizon: like Windows 10. Some users have reported that after the new facility it may take hours of waiting until Windows 7 poster updates are available. But don't worry - they are not that critics and you shouldn't worry so much for them.

I can offer a workaround is to:

-Windows 7 update agent be manually updated to the latest version > > https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/949104

-Download directly from MS "April 2015 battery maintenance update" and install it manually

This update package, which combines updates dating all the way back to February 2011, is not be made available in Windows Update. If you install a Windows 7 system from scratch, you will need to go out of your way to download and install it. If you do not, Windows Update will download and install the updated way on day one by one, the slower, more tedious.

You have now all the updates of Windows 7 since its initial release until may 2016

After that, you try to install the new updates.

I hope it works for you. Let me know how it goes.

  • FixIt center operating system is not compatible Windows and update does not work due to 8007066

I have an Asus Essentio with Windows 7 Professional. Although the computer was working ok, I installed the FIX It Professional [I bought it to install on my computer to girls] for the interview. Since then, I had several problems with slow MSN Mail and slow performance. I uninstalled the product and to restore the computer to the date of installation of the software. Here are some of the problems I have:

When you try to run Microsoft difficulty It Center I get a message "the operating system is not compatible and must be XP or newer" which it obviously. I've used this program in the past without any problems and actually have a user account, but it still does not work.

Trying to access Microsoft support told me that the software is not "enabled" even though it says it's under System properties, and the product number is not saved, even if it has been for more than 8 months.

Whenever I click on the MSN butterfly, a security message wonder if Explorer is allowed to make changes to my computer. Not a big deal, but remember why nobody liked Vista and I would like to get rid of him.

A Windows Update does not work due the 8007066f, who doesn't have a solution, but updated logo keeps interrupting my work.

    Thanks for any help.

I suggest an Inplace upgrade to fix your computer.

The upgrade in place is a tool to fix the system. Thanks to the special upgrade process, we will be able to repair the system. The upgrade in place will not affect the settings like photos, movies, documents, etc. that are saved on the computer. Although this operation will not remove or modify the files and installed programs, I suggest always that you back up important files before you do. In addition, you may need to reinstall the device drivers after this operation.

The detailed steps are included as below:

    On-site upgrade
    ====================
1 log on to the system first.
    2. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in the DVD drive of the computer.
    3. Click Start and select computer.
    4. find the "setup.exe" file in the DVD-ROM and double-click it.

    5. click on install now.

    6. When you are prompted to enter the product key, please click Next directly without entering any key. The installation wizard will prompt and ask if you confirm to install Windows 7 without the key and choose please confirm.

    7. When you get to the screen ' which type of installation you want', click upgrade to upgrade the Windows 7 system files.

Note: When running the upgrade on the spot, the system will restart automatically (several times) to merge the files and programs, please leave the computer alone and does not configure it until the 'upgrade on the spot"finished. The system should start Windows 7, once it is upgraded. Once the computer is running "upgrade on the spot", you can go and leave the computer and it completes automatically.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Cannot download Windows 10 because my Windows [7] updates does not work.

Windows Update fails to download updates. Troubleshooting mentions an error number and does not repair.

    That's why I can't go to W10

    Hello

If you can't get Windows 10 to get 10 app windows or Windows update, you always have the option of ISO to upgrade.

Download Windows 10 media creation tool

Simply select this option of PC/improvement.

After you download the Windows 10 installation files using this tool, you can upgrade your existing 10 Windows operating system, or you can create the bootable USB drive or DVD to install Windows 10 key later. You can also save the installation files to the ISO in offline mode file format, if you wish.

  • Windows 7 update does not not Error 80070002

    Hello

I bought a new computer from office in February 2015.  It came with Windows 7 Professional SP1 is installed.  As far as I know, the updater has stopped working early August 2015.  I did not notice until November when I started having the BSOD make.  BSOD issues were fixed by replacing the RAM.  I was not able to get Wu to work.  I get an Error 80070002.  I was getting this error when I got BSOD problems.

I downloaded system preparation tool.  I have the option of WU or BITS.  When you run the WU, the result is sign up for the Service is missing or corrupt (fixed) and discovered problems to install recent updates (not fixed).  When executing the PIECES, I get the same thing, more an error 8007005 (not fixed).

I have reset my WU SET of components through the automatic.

I tried the command prompt raised by what follows,

    net stop wuauserv
    CD %SystemRoot%\System32
    Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

    net start wuauserv
    no luck.

Then I tried to download the last Agent WU.  It would download and try to install, but I received the following message. "Windows Update agent has met with a fatal error."  I looked at the version I have.  It's 7.6.7601.19016

Then I tried the command prompt raised by what follows,

    regsvr32 Jscript.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuapi.dll
    regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll

While they did save, WU still doesn't work.

I tried to reset the WU components manually.  An error I got was "Module mshtml.dll was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found.  I also had this error for the following files: shdocvw.dll, browseui.dll, qmgr.dll.

I also have the following error.  'The module failed to load msxml.dll' I also had this error on the following files: gpkcsp.dll, sccbase.dll, slbcsp.dll, c:\windows\system32\muweb.dll, initpki.dll, wuaueng1.dll, c:\windows\system32\dllcache\wucltui.dll and wuweb.dll.

I'm out of ideas how to run Wu.

    Can you help me please?

    Thank you.

I upgraded my ASUS K52F Notebook for Windows 10 on July 29, 2015. I fought with Microsoft for 7 months for a PATCH to cause problems with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge Online. No technical support from Microsoft could find a SOLUTION to my problems on Windows 10. So, I bought a new Western Digital 500 GB hard drive black. I removed my Hitachi 500 GB hard drive with 10 Windows and installed my new unallocated hard in my book. I dug my Windows 7 Home Premium OEM Operating System disks provided with my laptop when I bought it. I restored my laptop that I use now, back to Win 7. After restoration of Win 7, I went to Windows Update and tried to find the updates for the first time. I got a X RED and 2 Error Codes (0xc8000247 & 0xc8000222), after searching a FIX of the Web, I found 3 PATCHES.

1 FIX tried: I had to install (NetFramework V4.5) for Windows Update and here is the link where I found the download: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 download, install, reboot.

2nd FIX tried: I had to install (Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver) for my new 500 GB hard drive. Here is the link where I got it: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/55005/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST- download, install, reboot.

3rd FIX tried: this DIFFICULTY, I took a picture of my phone because I didn't have my loading printing software so I could print actually fixed my Windows Update do not answer question, after restarting wuauserv file in the command CMD, I went to Windows Update, you click on check the updates and after a few minutes , Windows Update has begun ads updated to choose from, worked great after you restart the Windows Update program. NOTE I did hard restart my cable Modem by unplugging the power cord for 2 minutes and then rebooted my Cable Modem before this 3rd correction.

Windows Update not responding do not after Windows 7 restore

    FIX SOLVED!

    Step 1: Click Start

    Step 2: Type in: cmd

Step 3: right click on cmd in the start menu and select "run as Administrator"

Step 4: Type: net stop wuauserv

    Step 5: Press enter

    Step 6: Type: ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old

    Step 7: Press enter

Step 8: Type: net start wuauserv

    Step 9: Press enter

    Step 10: Type: exit

    Step 11: Press enter

Step 12: Go to Windows Update and updates

To do this, step by step as written above and notice the required spaces as written and the update of Windows will start to work again. This FIX is allowing you to restart Windows Update Command.

When you type: net stop wuauserv (net (space) (space) Stop wuauserv)

When you type: ren c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution softwaredistribution.old (softwaredistribution.old c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution(spacebar) ren (space)

When you type: net start wuauserv (net (spacebar) start (spacebar) wuauserv)

NOTE: It confused me too on my first try, but I quickly figured it after the PATCH twice in a row and it worked for me.

Now my updates come left and right, last night I got 1 update that has been setup for Windows), then 96 updates before going to bed. This morning I had 286 updates installed, get them now.

All I can say is what I said here, it worked for me and I thought I'd share my experience with this correction for others, I hope this work for you as it did for me. Thank you! GTIN

  • 0x8004fe21 - "this computer is not running Windows" - KB3024777 update does not resolve the issue

    Hello

My Windows 7 has been giving me some problems lately. I get messages that "this computer is not running genuine Windows" (0x8004fe21). I'm running a genuine version of windows, and when I check the properties of my computer, it tells my that I have in fact validated my copy of Windows 7.

I also had a problem when new updates to Windows Update settle not and after a few google searches, I have concluded that this must have been caused by bad KB3004394 update.

It has been suggested that I deleted this update, but it did not show anywhere under installed updates.
It has also been suggested that I downloaded the patch of "quick fix" KB3024777, which is supposed to remove the faulty update.
I did, and since then, the issue of windows updates has been resolved. Again installing the updates of windows, but I still get messages I'm not authentic Windows.

In addition, I tried all sorts of things, I found in online forums, but I don't remember exactly what those who were, because most of them were things that I didn't understand.

Maybe you guys can help. Thank you in advance!

I don't see anything abnormal in your report - which probably means that the problem is a race condition where your AV is to win the fight for access to certain critical files when the Service for the Protection of software needs to access.

Certainly, it will disappear after a few days.

  • Windows 8 update does not complete

I just opened this machine with Win8 and wanted to update 8.1, but was invited to update Windows Update first.

I ran the update, which asked me to restart the laptop. I restarted the first time, I went back to the Windows Update screen that asked another reboot. Now around 20 restarts later, I'm looking at the prompt still asking me to restart.

What is the problem with that? What can I do to fix it please?

    Hi Aditya,

I understand that you can not upgrade to 8.1 Windows as you cannot install Windows updates.

As you mentioned that you got the restart option which indicates that updates have been downloaded successfully and then you tried to restart the computer and the option restart Vienna once again.

It indicates that Windows updates is not installing on the computer.

To better understand the issue, please send us the following information:

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?
    2. You get the error message during the installation of Windows updates?

I suggest you follow the steps below and see if there are updates failed:

    1. Press the Windows key + R
    2. Type wuapp
    3. Click view update history

You can also see the article below for the resolution of the issues related to Windows update:

  • Windows 7 update does not not on ANOTHER computer! Clean install, Pro 32-bit SP1

This is getting a little ridiculous. It's the third computer on which I came across this update of Windows has stopped working or as in this case, never worked. The other two CPU I dropped Windows 7 after that I have read and tried countless recommendations on the resolution of this problem. But the CPU I want to run AND 7 are updated.

Started with a reformatted 120 GB SSD, pure install 7 SP1 32 bit, loaded my video driver, went to the update and it said it takes the latest version off the coast of the update, after that, I ran update again and received the 8007000e error code. I have tried several times and always received this code. I read a help file of Microsoft on the removal of the extra language packs for this error, but as far as I know, the only pack I have installed is English; I don't have the tab they show to remove the additional L-packs.

Then I tried to install Win 7 again. Deleted the partition, made a new partition for windows, went to Win Update and got the 8007000e code again. Nothing has been loaded on this drive with the exception of Windows 7, not even my video driver. I have two other CPU at home always on Win 7 and they are all up to date very well (for now). Microsoft, could you please fix this! Community, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this?

It is expected by M$, we must now jump through hoops to clean install.

If looking for updates to hang on a current installation,

Switch your windows update setting to never check the updates temporarily

    Restart the machine

Then you download this from your download folder run from there.

    https://TechNet.Microsoft.com/library/security/MS16-039?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396

    Download the x 86 for 32-bit or x 64 for 64-bit

Install it and restart when prompted too after he did a search of stand-alone for updates that should not

take too long, it took all of 5 seconds, '' If '' windows update settings are turned on forever check

updates before running from the downloads folder.

    Once it installs and restarts

You can reset your updates affecting everything you had before default =...

    Then check the updates manually.

I think that the solution came from Softpedia and Joel_CS posted on this thread,

  • Windows 7 update does not see the already installed updates

    FOR INFO:

You may encounter temporary connection [e.g. 0x80072EFE] errors when you use Windows Update or Microsoft Update to install updates

If these errors persist, I had very seriously question the security of your computer, Ackman, especially considering what you said in this thread. YMMV.

  • Windows 8 update does not restore backed up files

Yesterday I when I joined PC it was just a white screen. I opted to update my windows 8 and had to back up my profile and files on an external hard drive (which took 2-3 hours) a then update the operating system. In the end, he informed me that he was not able to restore my profile. While windows 8 works well now, my old files are in the backup drive and I have no idea how to restore it to my PC. What program or steps can I get back them?

  • Windows 7 update does not complete!

Until about two days ago, all updates of Windows 7 is complete.  Now, whenever I stop, I get the small shield with the exclamation point, which means that there is some new updates.  He is stuck in a loop!  I have the same problem with a laptop with Vista but it is a spare, and I just don't care about it that much, but it's always a problem.

However, my year old charge laptop Lenovo with a legal copy of Windows 7 is having this problem.  I want if possible a response directly from Microsoft. I don't have to do web searches and read the forums and it must go into the registry and all these things that I know nothing.  I don't download strange software.  I just run Microsoft software - like office and I have Adobe PDF, and that's it - no exotic things.  I want to add that my anti-virus is Microsoft Essentials!
Really, please get some help!  I pay so much money for my equipment a legal licenses of Windows and this is the thanks that I get for it!
Yet once again, a little guy like me shouldn't be looking everywhere for this answer.  Microsoft should take responsibility and help us solve this problem, perhaps even offering live assistance, especially for those of us who do not know where to look, what files to enter, etc..  I see that others seem to have similar problems, and it is not fair that Microsoft expects us to rely on user forums to find solutions or workarounds for the updates that are preparing! Help!

    Hi MarkSchwartz,

    ·         How long have you been faced with this problem?

    ·         You did it last changes before the show?

    ·         You receive an error message?

You can check the updates failed and the error message in the history of the update

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/see-which-Windows-updates-are-installed

Method 1: I suggest to run the troubleshooter and check if that helps.

Open the Windows Update troubleshooting tool

For more information, you can also consult:

Method 2: If the method above is not enough, you can place your computer in a clean boot state and then try to install these updates failed.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    I hope this helps.
