I uninstalled all the software virus protection
I tried turning the automatic updates, stop, restart and then on again.
I tried to disable the startups and services not Microsoft
I stopped services, removed from the cache, re registered DLLs
I did an update on Windows site
I have restored the image I took a couple of days ago then requested the update already downloaded to install - that too at a standstill.
More recently, I downloaded a new copy of the. ISO and burned on a USB key, then replaced the hard drive and did a fresh install that.
