Windows 7 upgrade disk fails on hp a6720y with corrupt JRAID. SYS file, corrupt JGOGO. SYS file

I'm trying to upgrade a HP Pavillion a6720y Vista Home Premium 64 to Windows 7 Home Premium 64 via the official HP upgrade disk that I ordered a few years ago. Whenever he tries to boot into Win7 for the first time that it fails on the file "JRAID.» SYS'.» I have 3 internal drives on the (starting) SATA1 and SATA2 (data) and a DVD-ROM, SATA3 and USB external disk BIOS interface is (and was) the RAID value (even if they are not mirrired or scratched, just separate the readers). I found a newer version of JRAID. SYS and installed, but now it fails on "JGOGO." SYS"(says file is missing or corrupted).» My version of Vista is using the same version of JGOGO. Facilities SYS Win7 and says is corrupt.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I forgot to add, I also had problems with getting Windows 7 update for the first time. Updates (more than 130 of them) would be to continue for awhile, then seems to hang for hours. I downloaded the Windows 7 SP1 from Microsoft (make sure you choose the right version, 32-bit or 64-bit) and installed everything first. It takes time to install it, but it finally finished ok. Then I rebooted and installed the Windows updates required in groups of five or six instead of all at once. Don't know if I needed to do, but they all eventually installed ok.

Network adapters: Microsoft Windows Mobile remote adapter causes the Windows 7 upgrade to fail.

I did everything to prepare for the upgrade. The Upgrade Advisor says it all right. But I get the message that this network adapter is a problem. It does not appear in device menager even under hidden objects, so I can't uninstall or update.

It is obviously a problem for more than two years. Why is there not a difficulty now, or at least a well validated response that meets this situation rather than simply repeat the statement to execute the Advisor (done) or update the driver (which is impossible because the card network can not be found)?

    Hello

    You can try these:

    Step 1:

    a. click the Start button.

    (b) in the search box type devmgmt.msc and then press ENTER.

    c. find under the "Mobile Devices" "Microsoft USB Sync" node. If this is not present, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, right click "Microsoft USB Sync" and choose "Uninstall".

When you connect your USB phone, it should appear in the device under Mobile Device Manager. Education invites you to look out there and if you find Microsoft USB Sync, uninstall it. If she is not there, go to the next step.

    Step 2:

Disconnect, and then reconnect your device. Your device driver will be re - install and launch Windows Mobile Device Center.

  • My Windows 7 upgrade disk has only 32 bits. I want to install Windows 7 64-bit. What can I do?

Upgrade to 64 - bit with this situation?
A few years ago, I bought a PC which has Vista installed on it, but I was given a Windows 7 Upgrade disk to install Windows 7. I was able to create a clean install with upgrade disc. Recently, I discovered that my processor can support 64-bit, so I want to go to that. Problem is the upgrade disc contains the 32-bit version, even though I believe complete dics of Windows 7 contains both versions. It does not mean that I am eligible for the 64 bit version of Windows 7? It's terribly confusing.
What are my options for installation of 64-bit? The 64-bit version can be downloaded or something? I even use the same product key?

Will be the product key, I received with my job to drive upgrade with the 64-bit version, I downloaded?

    Yes.

The key of Windows 7 works with 32 and 64 bit, but can only be installed at a time.

  • A Windows 7 Upgrade disk will modernize Vista on a HP with a new generic motherboard?

My HP m8517c PC ASUS IPIBL - motherboard is dead so I replaced it with a new card by mother ASUS P5G41T-M.  When you start the HP Windows Vista Home Premium fails because it has HP drivers only for the original mobo...  If I buy a Windows 7 home Premium Upgrade it will modernize the HP Vista?

N ° you need a copy of the full license of Windows 7.  Upgrade license requires a genuine copy of Windows to upgrade.  Your OEM copy is invalid (not genuine) on a retail mobo.  However, the driver problem is another matter.  The motherboard manufacturer provides drivers that you need for the new mobo.  Download the drivers from the site of the mfg, not HP.

If you buy a copy of the full license of Windows 7, you can perform an upgrade in-place depending on which edition of Vista you're using and what edition of Windows 7 that you buy.  Please see the information on the Microsoft Store website to see if you need to do an upgrade installation or a custom installation.  Anyway you will always need a license product key full.

    The upgrade to Windows XP?

Please read these instructions carefully and completely before you begin installing Windows 7: there are important steps that you must follow to upgrade your PC from Windows XP to Windows 7 in order to preserve your files and settings.

Before you begin, you'll need to backup all your data to an external storage device, and you will need all the installation discs for the programs that you want to keep. Please make sure that you have an external hard drive (see details below).

More detailed instructions are available at windows.microsoft.com/upgrade-windows-xp. Here are the basic steps.

    1. start Windows Upgrade Advisor (windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor) to see if there are known issues that may affect the installation and the question of whether you should install the version of 32 or 64 bit Windows 7.

2 back up your files and settings on an external hard drive using Windows Easy Transfer (windows.microsoft.com/windows-easy-transfer). If you do not have an external hard drive, you will not be able to use Windows Easy Transfer. Alternatively, you can copy the files you want to keep on a USB stick, CD or DVD.

    3. you will need to manually reinstall your programs, such as Microsoft Office, after I installed Windows 7. Gather the installation for your programs and all partner/license product key discs. You may be able to download programs from the Internet. For example, Windows Live Messenger can be installed from the download.live.com/messenger.

    4. Insert the Windows 7 DVD in your PC. When asked "which type of installation you want. Click on "Custom (advanced)."

    5. when Windows 7 is installed, use Windows Easy Transfer to restore your files and settings.

If you are not comfortable Windows 7 installation, check with a local retail or the services of the PC company store to see if they offer upgrade services.

  • Windows 7 recover disk fails with 0 X 4001100200001012

I have a new Dell XPS 9000 and an Inspiron 1545 laptop. Both have windows 7 64 bit. When I create recovery discs using windows 7 and test them, they start completely and then fail with an error code 0 X 4001100200001012. I see only this behavior with both Dell news, I bought. I have cheap desktop HP I have also created recovery disks that do not cause this error. My search of the Internet makes me believe that I am not alone in seeing this problem with Dells. I used the windows scan function to correct possible errors of operating system file. Recommendations to slow down burning CDs to stop all the corruption cannot be applied when you create a recovery disk in widows. Since I have the OS disk, I can still boot from in an emergency, but it's still a bit annoying.

Anyone has any ideas on what is the cause? I tried the microsoft technical support (they had no idea) and Dell technical support (they had less of an idea). Someone at - he seen elsewhere or know how to fix. ?

I have the same problem.  I tried for hours about all recommendations found on trusted web sites.

So I decided to try something.  I created a Windows 7 (64 bit) of my Lenovo T410 system repair disc.  IT WORKS FINE ON THE DELL XPS 9100, even using the wired network as the source of the backup (I have a small NAS where to store the image).

My T410 uses Windows 7 Ultimate (instead of professionals on the Dell) and has an Intel I7 - 620 M (instead of I7 - 920 on the Dell), but cela is no impact.

    I hope this helps!
