Windows 8.1 annihilated all win, Pro 7. CANCEL the need help!

Reference Dell Inspiration 3847

First, I created a new partition and thought that when I pick up the Windows 8.1 since the disc that came with the new computer, it would be a side-by-side, double installation along the side of the factory, preinstalled, Windows 7 Pro. EVIL!

What has happened is that it exceeds written Win. 7 pro. and remove all it's files and preloaded apps.
I sent to Dell to see if I can return to the configuration factory state condition with the Win 7 Pro. and applications pre installed. but have not yet received a response.
I, ve tried restoring to factory State, but she is instructing me to reinstall Win. 8.1 from the disk.
NEED HELP!
Thanks Randy

You should have the recovery with Dell backup and restore support before making a dual boot. Even if he succeeded he would have hindered your ability to restore to the original image.

You cannot reinstall Windows 7 because Microsoft has removed all downloads of Digital River and replace them with a non-functional tool that licenses OEM Dell blocks and you cannot create a support of recovery, your only choice is to call Technical Support Dell or Windows 8.1 installs successfully.

So I do experience wih prolems any version of Skype 6.

When he settled at the time when I restarted the PC, it has been updaed to 6.18 (appears as Skype 6.3 in "Add/Remove Programs" just for that, say.)
Now, I'm fine with that, as I have means that some the Skype service works.
What I am not satisfied, is that Skype does not load.

    Picure this:
An older model netbook (Acer Ferrari One 200 to be am.), running on the same OS, it came with 4 years earlier and used by my moher to do computer mundane things like banking online and facebook.
It has seen better days... but everything worked. And since it uses the PC for skyping with family, she needs.
Now, it was an urgent need for an update so I have obscured the disc and slammed into Win7 Professional x 64 and updated until today. Everything went well, until I loaded Skype.

Skype loads its window, but it has a white screen and when I hover above the mouse keeps flickering from the top down and with the loading circle.
I thought I'd take just the time of loading, but after 2 hours of doing nothing, I deleted and tried using older versions, with no luck.

    It's problem.

Because as soon as I installed Skype after all these updates that has worked.

    A deal, right?
    N °
I went to uninstall Internet Explorer 11 of the option "Turn on / off Windows features.
The second PC started after the RS, Skype loaded correctly.
This means that Skype needs files are only some of the updates surrounding and not IE itself.
From this perspective, that would mean that these updates should be part of the updates required for Windows 7 and not optional according to it if we have IE installed or not, or at least now that Skype is owned by Microsoft that these updates should be added if Skype is present, if Internet Explorer is present.
If here belong to other programs like Skype that are Microsot who require these updates to work, they should be added to the update list if this specific program is present on a Windows 7 system.
It makes no sense that the functionality of the program, a program owned by Microsoft, would not have these done updates availible for her if Internet Explorer 11 is not present on the system.
I know this is a problem with very little, but it's always a program however.
What can be done to fix this?

Y at - there a line of code that can be added to Skype that would make it possible to access that the MS update of database in order to install these updated files basic features needed?
There must be... Send this along to a supervisor who would and could focus on getting this fixed a problem (even minimal).

  • Satellite Pro A300-15V, I need help in the Organization of my startup list

    Hello everyone!

I need help in the Organization of my startup list:

(Why should Toshiba button support I this program if my laptop doesn't have multimedia keys? OR maybe this program for something else?)
ItSecMng (although I have disabled the Bluetooth Manager to run when starting from this point still remains in the startup)
Agent of filtering of Audio Conexant high definition (what is this program? Do I really need to start?)
    TOSHIBA Power Saver
    Toshiba Flash Cards
    RAID event monitor

So, my friends. Could you give a valuable suggestion whether or not it is prudent to disable startup above entries? I want to speed up my laptop at the highest possible level.

Thanks a lot for your time!

    Kind regards
    Osman.

    My laptop:

Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-15V (PSAJ5E) => NOT have multimedia keys except the FN keys.

    > Toshiba Button support (why should I this program if my laptop doesn't have multimedia keys? OR maybe this program for something else?)
You can disable it. If your mobile phone does not support the multimedia buttons then this tool is useless.

    > ItSecMng (although I have disabled the Bluetooth Manager to run when starting from this point still remains in the startup)
I don't know what would make this process, but you can disable this in msconfig-> tab start Mr. If it would take in the future, then you could turn it on again.

    > Agent of filtering the Conexant high definition Audio (what is this program? Do I really need to start?)
I think that this is necessary. It could improve your audio

    > Toshiba Power Saver
This is important. It s an additional saving of Toshiba option for Win 7

    > Toshiba Flash Cards
This tool controls the FN keys.

    > RAID Event Monitor
Hmm so you don t have two hard disks, then you can try to disable it too.

    GhostyKnight,
Make sure that you have tried the options listed in this thread: XP without boot troubleshooting.

When you are in the Windows Advanced Options menu you have the option 'Disable the restart in the event of system failure?'   If you select this option, and then instead of restart it will be stops on a screen with an error message.  Then, you can search for the error message or post in this thread and we can help with the search in there. • Is it legal to use any Windows programs under Linux using Wine as long as the programs are free initially, like Windows Live products?

    original title: is it legal?

I read on Internet that Linux users can download and run official Windows software on their computer using a program called wine.
If the Windows program they want to run is something that is free, is Live Photo Gallery or Windows Live Movie Maker legal to use with the demand for wine?
    Thanks for your time!

Yes, perfectly legal, if it wasn't, I don't know that Microsoft would have to stop them. If you spent $500, you are free to install it on the operating system of your choice, although versions recent Office 2010 and 2007 version and software such as Windows Live Essentials won't probably wine.

Check out the following experiment using WINE and Windows on Linux applications:

  • installed windows xp now nothing on my computer is recognized. Need help please!

OK so I installed windows and now it doesn't recognize anything on my computer. When I go to 'Start', 'Run' and type dxdiag it shows n/a for the graphics card and s/o to the sound card...

After you perform a clean installation of the operating system, you must then install drivers for all your hardware. Looks like you have not carried out this operation.

Never get the drivers from Windows Update. Bring:

    1. site of the device mftr. ; OR
    2. site of the card mother mftr. If the material is on board; OR
    3. website of the OEM manufacturer for your specific machine if you have a PC OEM (HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the Web site where you get the drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

    1. read all documentation that you got when you purchased the computer.
    2. If the computer is OEM, access the site Web of the OEM for your specific model machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
    3. download, install and run a program of inventory of the free system like Belarc Advisor or System Information for Windows.

    Hello

are you sure it was an update that caused it?

If it was an update follow these steps:

  • I have HP Deskjet 3050 a all-in-One Printer - J611g and need help with printing, please?

I just bought the HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-one printer-J611g a. The manual has shown to do the printer double-sided printing odd pages then only print even pages only, and it works very well for one page on one side of the sheet. However, when I want to print two pages on one side of the paper and another of two pages on another aspect of the sheet, print the odd pages or even pages only just does not work! Ditto to print more than one PowerPoint presentation on one side of the page, if I click on print the odd pages only, then the printer will display the odd number of powerpoint slide instead of print odd number. I used to have another printer HP Officejet and never had any problems with two-sided printing. This printer comes with the function double-sided printeing at all?  If so, how can I do duplex printing?

    Thank you very much!

This is a limitation of the software that you use and how the HP printers recognize the incoming files. When compress you multiple pages on a single "page" this page is actually two pages, with even and odd numbers. It is therefore difficult for the software to determine the page numbers 'odd' and 'even' when printing, because it is no longer applicable to the relevant pages, but the format in which they are being printed.

I hope this information is useful!

  • \windows\system32\config\system... Missing or corrupt - need help!

It shows "\windows\system32\config\system...missing or damaged" when I start the laptop. "

He said that to use the windows recovery console, but my laptop is 10 ", so it does not come with a CD-ROM.

then I tried to use windows PE (preinstallation environment) system startup via USB driver enter to solve the problem, but when it's loading system, after a few seconds it stop loading. so, I can not in windows PE.    don't know why, that might happen.

someone knows how to fix this?

    Please help me with this.

I would never start with KB307545 for this problem, have never used KB307545 to resolve this issue and will never suggest KB307545 to solve this problem.  It's really bad advice.

KB307545 is the first thing to come into the Bing search engine for the error, but that doesn't make it the right thing to do.

The problem likely is the file system is corrupt and XP just can not find the file to load.

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (this includes pulling and buttons power)

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything
    on the other.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

There is zero logic to start try to copy files to a hard drive that has a corrupted file system, so this must be first using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk on your hard drives may solve your problem completely.

You don't need a Windows XP disk to run chkdsk/r either (or implement KB307545), but you have to start on something.

Do you your system of unspecified and model do not have a CD/DVD drive, or you do not have a Windows installation CD or both?

You have a working CD/DVD drive or not?

Your system is able to boot from a USB device?

If your mini system has no CD-ROM drive (many minis don't) and even if you had a Windows CD, it would be of no use, you reference to KB307545 is therefore still less logical.

    @Imran: technician of technical support:

Have you ever actually fixed this problem before?

You have ideas that are possible?

Why don't you take your system to work, get the XP running and then pull the plug on this subject.  Repeat this about 5 - 10 times and then you will be recreated the problem and you can actually see.

Then, don't use is not a Windows XP installation CD, fix the system afflicted and then offer this solution as an answer instead of the first Microsoft KB article that appears in a search engine Bing.

  • All my backup files are archived, need help

I'm trying to restore backup files do everything on time. However, they are in a weird format (photos can be found here):

    http://s1194.Photobucket.com/albums/aa374/gRave_blade/?action=view¤t=Snap1.jpg

So basically, as it is now, I would manually search each one to find what I want. does anyone know a better solution than that? any help is greatly appreciated.

I had simular problems but found that if you open the program that created the backup files there is usually an option to restore. Use this and it should put them all back where they came from and some offer a new place where to put them. I think you could transfer beable to mass. Create a folder on your desktop label everything you remember you say photos from photobucket. Go to photobucket where your photos are and click on the first file, then hold down the SHIFT key and click the last file then right click in the area highlight and you should get an option in there to copy, click on it then right on the folder that you created and click on paste and a copy of their planned to transfer everything to the folder.

Hope this works for you, it should.

    Good luck
