  I suggest you to place the computer in a clean boot state and check if the problem is resolved:

  1. sign the computer by using an account with administrator rights.

  2. click on Start, type msconfig.exe in the Start Search box and press ENTER to start The System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue.

  3. on the general tab, click Selective startup, and then click on to clear the load startup items check box. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)

  4. on the Services tab, click to select the hide all Microsoft services check box, and then all disable.

  5. click OKand then click restart.

  6. check if you still have the problem.

  I would like to know if there is a call to API or similar which will refresh the menu apps dynamically.  Because of the way that the applications menu groups of shortcuts by default, if you have multiple items of the same seller they will most likely be displayed together.  It becomes quite confusing when all the shortcuts have the same name.  This happens more often than I like.  To minimize confusion, I have a version icons to move to a different subfolder under start\program c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start.

  For example, two versions of IBM ODM are installed, they have almost identical shortcuts but both are needed by the developer, so we have:

  c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM\ODM 8.5.1

  c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM\ODM 8.7

  In the view menu apps, all will be grouped under "IBM."  I moved and renamed ODM 8.7 to:

  c:\programdata\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\IBM ODM 8.7.

  However, the menu apps will always show both sets of icons as everything under 'IBM' however a game does not work (because they have been moved).  without any other process, the only way I found to refresh, it's to open a session and return twice.  Reboot, restart explorer.exe (someone suggested that) or other tricks mentioned in the links down below has no effect.

  Steps to recreate:
  1 see the menu apps

  2. rename any existing subfolder which is directly under start\program c:\programdata\Microsoft\windows\Start

  3. open the menu of apps again.  the modified file should be not displaying and in the old group of folder shortcuts no longer work.
  4. open a session once and relog in.  Still, the change should not display.
  5. open a session once and relog again.  The change should now display.

  This delay in the update of behavior has been observed by several people, one that suits that I remember:

• Change of color after sending. File RAW of LR4.1 change in SP6?

  I have worked with LR to PS changes for some time - beginning LR3/PS4 etc etc - and never a problem with the display in LR color changes and posting in PS. I recently installed SP6 Master Collection (just before had been editing files .raw LR4 in PS5)- and after sending the .raw (.orf) in PS6 image file looks like someone had moved a cursor "Tint" on ten units to green. I looked in every issue of space recalibrated, color, check a number of forums and tutorials of LuLa LR4 and LuLa colorspace tuts as well - and can not find a solution. If I export the file as an original .raw - and then open in PS ACR, for example, through the same color shift is displayed. I can send the LR4 TIFFs for edit in PS6 without problem. I can export the .raw to TIFF file - and it looks good in PS. I updated all the relevant software this afternoon. I use a Windows 7 machine/12 GB of ram/Core i7. Help/comments/suggestions/guidance would be much appreciated.

LR4 records) - then I copied the file from the first in the latter - there's now "camera Standard" as a camera in ACR7.1 profile option.  Therefore, it seems to work now. Thanks for your help on this a lot. I don't know what's your OS, but I do not have a situation of "all users".

  When I print from Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader, or the test page in the properties of the printer, it works fine. I have 2 computers with a clean install of WIndows8 Pro (x 64), office 2013 (x 64) and the problem is the same on both. The printer is officially supported for Windows 8. The support of Canon replied, it's the problem of Microsoft product. :/

  Aaaah - it's wonderful. Thank you very much. I saw on another thread that you (or someone) got to work with a different set of drivers Canon, but I was not back on the notion of not using the installer of Canon. I just did this by installing the driver by hand, and now everything of fine. In fact, I can print both the 9280 driver and now the driver 8300, I set as default. Thank you very much for you reply to the thread and help out me. I'll pass the word along to others who have had similar problems that I have encountered in my research.

• Photoshop elements 14.1 (Windows 10) crashes after importing multimedia files in a catalog to convert

  In addition to 12.1 PSE, I installed PES 14.1 and converted to catalog.pse12db catalog.pse14db without any error message.

  Open a new catalog and importing multimedia files in this new catalog.pse14db runs without error.

  Catalog.pse14db contains the beginning marked more 6000 photos with Photoshop elements 3 (on my old PC with Windows 2000) and thus has been transformed several times during its history. The volume_table table includes readers/devices from the old PC, which do not exist in PCs today.

  Although I'm not familiar with SQLite, using sqlite manager (add-on Firefox) help solve my problem (if it's really a question of catalog.pse14db)?

  Apart from that, I'm at a loss what to try next...

  A few days before Pentecost, I resumed outages by install the trial version of Photoshop elements 13, conversion of catalog.pse12db into catalog.pse13db, from Photoshop elements 14.1 and transform this catalog.pse14db catalog.pse13db.

  He has no problem now to import media files in this converted catalog.pse14db. I will continue using PSE14.1 with the converted catalog whatching to find errors.

  I wonder why the repair function on the Catalog Manager solves this problem, and what will be the opinion of the team of Adobe.

  h. once the computer has restarted, test the game.

  If the problem persists, I suggest trying to start clean your machine to get rid of any software third party running in the background.

  I'll have this weird problem and did not find the problem. Suddenly my laptop (Lenovo Y710 - 4 GB RAM - Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit) crashes after a few minutes of activity, Vista freezes. CTRL + Alt + Delete does not work. If I force close to the bottom and then try to restart, it do display anything. I tried to start in safe mode, but after pressing f8 and it only beeps and still doest appear anyting on screen you. If I try to start the laptop after a few hours it starts again and minutes it freezes again. I noticed this problem for the first time when using RDP to my desktop, but it wasn't the first time I've done RDP. I have not installed new hardware or drivers. Am not able to nail the question, would appreciate any help.

  This is no doubt hardware failure. The laptop could be overheating and/or other components could be involved. Contact Lenovo technical support or take to a competent local computer Tech do not use a type of BigComputerStore/GeekSquad of the place.

  If you have a pretty good level of computer skills, you can test some components yourself although it is more difficult to make accurate material on a laptop computer troubleshooting.
