I have already run the windows update fix the tool several times, but it doesn't solve the problem. Also update keeps telling me to install the SP1 package. I think that the number on the pack is KB96330 (not sure but I'll check in a few minuets when I go home for lunch). What should I do to get SP1 + 2 installed?

  Thank you very much for the work you've put into this.  I made the change you suggested making the subkeywords under 'schwartz' to be {name schwartz}.  I don't know who has contributed something, but I think that there are more immediate problem which is mucked up.  As well as the fact that I have several catalogs that I don't know how they were created, I think that the best thing would be to merge all the catalogs into one (it is better to have a single catalog, right?) and delete all the keywords from scratch.

  a year ago I started having problems with searching through my files because windows Explorer kept crashing whenever I used it to browse my files. It started after I removed some games and other stuffs manually to my computer because they were not on the list of installed programs.

  Good reinstall it sure to be a good solution, but it will be a little more work on you because you will have to download and install all your favorite again by Web sites or CD programs, they came.

  But that does not mean it is a bad choice: you will have a fresh new PC that has no persistent problems or stuff it slows down.

  If you want to go this route, you will need to know if your computer is equipped with a factory reset CD disc, or perhaps it was integrated.  Most newer computers have it integrated where you just reboot and press a special key (usually F2 or del but it could be anything) and it will do a factory reset for you.

  These images are already in the catalog. Select all the photos in the section catalogue library, hit the-key to bring up the filter bar, select the text option in the upper part, select file name then contains all and type in one of the file names. It should show this image file.

  I did now 2 installs fresh with the HP recovery discs and both windows update does not work. I tried different patches from microsoft that I found online in this regard and nothing works.

  I don't know if it's related, but said SP1 is installed, but when I look in the installed updates it isn't here. If I try to uninstall from a command promt it says is not installed and if I try to install it from the microsoft download it says it is installed.

  It makes me crazy. I was expecting it to work from a clean install, but it doesn't.

  Any help would be great.

  If it says SP1 is included, it means it is included and comes with the system, so you can not unintall it - it is part of the system - built in. You will not see the updates installed because it's built, do not subsequently installed.

  It is a known problem that now when you perform a clean installation of Windows 7, the installation updates will be delayed. This is due because of many things including the fact that W7 is more priority Microsoft because of new OS on the juice of the horizon: like Windows 10. Some users have reported that after the new facility it may take hours of waiting until Windows 7 poster updates are available. But don't worry - they are not that critics and you shouldn't worry so much for them.

  I can offer a workaround is to:

  -Windows 7 update agent be manually updated to the latest version > > https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/kb/949104

  -Download directly from MS "April 2015 battery maintenance update" and install it manually

  > > https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3020369

  -Download Win 7 convenience roll update and install it manually

  This update package, which combines updates dating all the way back to February 2011, is not be made available in Windows Update. If you install a Windows 7 system from scratch, you will need to go out of your way to download and install it. If you do not, Windows Update will download and install the updated way on day one by one, the slower, more tedious.

  You have now all the updates of Windows 7 since its initial release until may 2016

  After that, you try to install the new updates.
