Windows 8 drivers use on win 7
How to use windows drivers 8 on windows 7? my laptop has no driver windows 7 Compaq CQ58-249SG
You are the very welcome, Emir.
Many users have portable computers that originally shipped with (or supported by) Windows 7 and have run into problems where there is no Windows 8 drivers for their hardware. Fortunately, a lot of Windows 7 drivers work in Windows 8 If you install using Compatibility Mode. Try the following.
- Visit the HP Support and download the Windows 7 drivers for the hardware that you want to try.
- Download the driver to your desktop.
- Allow extraction until the complete but close the installation process, when it comes to the top.
- Navigate to the C:\swsetup\ folder. You will see your driver listed here. They usually have a name such as "sp58919". Navigate to this folder.
- In the folder of your driver, you will see a file "setup.exe". Right-click on this file and select Properties.
- Go to the tab "compatibility".
- Click on the box that says "Run this program in compatibility mode dethrone" and also select Windows 7 in the menu dropdown.
- Check the box that says "Run this program as an administrator", below.
- Save these changes, and then double-click the "setup.exe" to start the installation.
- Once installation is complete, restart your PC and check the functionality of the hardware.
It will not work in all cases, but many users have reported success when using Windows 7 drivers in Windows 8 in order to give it a try!
I hope you find this useful!
Original title: print Vista and Windows 7 drivers
You can use windows print drivers on Vista 7 for printers that do not have support for Vista?
It would be useful that you started with the make and model of printer.
Usually it's the other way around - use drivers Windows Vista on Windows 7 unit. Windows is supported in this regard.
Have you already installed the printer on Windows Vista?
I would like to extract generic epson printer to my windows disk drivers for use in 10 windows 7. I've seen a web page that tells how to a disk of vista, but the directory and the file structure is completely different on the disc of windows 7. A search at random through the disc gave no results. One of you have directions on how to do it?
How did the 24-pin generic Epson driver described in the list of Windows 7?
I do not see a pilot "generic 24 pin" in the list of Epson drivers on my Windows 7 system, but I don't see a driver for the GENERAL-3500 Epson ESC/P 2 ver 2.0. The GENERAL-3500 is a flatbed printer 24 pin. Is this the driver you used?
I ask because this driver - considered to be for "Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and later" - is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions in the Microsoft Update Catalog-->
HI - we buy at present a large number of PCs and computers laptop toshiba for use at the University of the OU, we have our own software images specially created and supported (currently windows XP), we haven't really had problems in the past since we can format new computers laptops and re - install our XP image, however, NB500 netbooks seem not to have another win XP drivers We contacted toshiba and they said there is no xp for these drivers.
We rely on producing an image of win7, it won't be immediately and is leading to the conclusion to stop buying these netbooks.
It is true that there are no Windows XP drivers for these machines?
You can check yourself if XP drivers are available for NB500 or not. So, visit the Toshiba driver download page and search for of NB500 drivers:
Mobile > Toshiba > Toshiba NB series > NB500
As you can see there is not available Windows XP drivers, and you use Windows 7.
Of course, you can search on 3 pilot sites but there is no guarantee that you will get all the drivers and if they work properly.
With other words: no official driver available.
Just bought a HP Pavilion P7-1421. My employer requires Windows 7 Pro. I have a serious problem find Windows 7 drivers, including drivers for Ethernet. I found a network controller driver Atheros so-called 64 bit to Windows 7 64 bit butI get an error message indicating that the driver is not compatible with my hardware AR81. Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1421. Windows 7 drivers for this model are as follows;
Qualcomm Atheros Customer Portal (select "Family AR816X drivers", "WIN AR816X Windows WHQL driver", you will need to extract/unzip the.) RAR with WinRAR or similar file)
For more information, see forum thread HP titled "firmware to Windows 7, need help with specific drivers. The model referenced in this thread uses the same exact motherboard as yours. Post back with "Hardware ID" If you need more help.

Hey, guys. Windows 8 recently got started and I'm anxious to try it, but there still are not any drivers for my model for Windows 8. I took a bit of searching and Bulgarian HP page indicates that all portable modells bought after 1.10.2011 are tested with Windows 8 drivers and as soon as the operating system comes out, the drivers will be available. Well the OS is out and still no drivers. I bought my laptop on 5.10.2011 so I think I'm up to the requirements for these drivers Win 8.
Anyone has any info? Thank you.
Hello nzim. I understand that you have questions about upgrading to Windows 8. I'm sure that you have already visited this page as you mention the date of October 1, 2011. HP has decided to support the most laptops purchased after that date, but it will take time to get all the drivers tested and released. So, keep a close eye on your page of product software and drivers for updates.
Try this site to see if HP has now tested your laptop with Windows 8.
Even if HP releases drivers for all hardware on your laptop computer parts, this does not mean that it will not work with Windows 8. It simply means that some features may not work as expected or at all. I suggest using Microsoft's Upgrade Assistant to determine how well your laptop support is currently. I used this on my own 5 year old laptop and almost everything has been supported, but not by my manufacturer directly.
In addition, some people have had success using the Windows 7 drivers. If you decide to try Windows 7 drivers you install them one at a time and check the functionality before installing another.
I hope this information was useful!
I have an Aspire 5250 that I purchsed with Windows 7 Home x 64 pre-installed. My system is qualified for the free update of Windows 10 and I installed Windows 10 yesterday. Now my system is Windows 10, I want to do a clean install of Windows 10 (I prefer a clean on an upgrade install, especially as it was always the original installation of up to 4 years).
When I go to the Aspire 5250 downloads page, I see that there is no option for Windows 10 drivers, only Windows 7 and 8. Then, I noticed an another help page that lists all the Acer systems that will receive assistance Windows 10 (such as drivers and utilities) and the 5250 Aspire wasn't on this list.
When I make my own installation, just use the drivers Windows 8?
Thanks for all the tips.
There is no driver for Win 10 Acer support, be patient, in the meantime we need to use Win8 or 8.1 drivers.
Original title: during repair XP Pro from the disk installation, everything crashes.
I am writing this plea on my desktop, pc Win 7 it. The pc is older and elsewhere in the House.
Due to the white/white space in Add/Remove Programs, after checking the extent of possible for viruses, corruption Reg, etc., the advice of consensus was to reinstall the Windows, using the disc (this XP Pro was on the HARD drive when I got the pc - new to 2009 - and I did the back-up recommended/controlled , and that's what I was doing Rcounter Set up, around 1700 BST.
Everything seemed to go OK, but black screen of Windows is now the small hourglass circulating and 'Please wait '. The HARD drive is flickering, but it's been more than 3 hours!
My second pc was rotten, and I had to reinstall or repair XP Home [disk] a few times. It is only 35 GB, compared to more than 100 on the pc in question - but I've never met before delay.
Installation messages were as follows:
EPPkt.sys and c:\windows\system32\drivers\afw.sys not found. I checked this point, and it should not have caused any problems. It has also sought a labeled disc 'Machine Virtual Network Services', which no doubt, since I did not, was never necessary.
I'll leave it on - but...
Well, I had to bow to the inevitable. Please accept this response as a ' I've been there - it could happen to you. "
I spoke to BT [they provide my broadband] and the helpful guy asked me to look at the installation and reinstall in a different place. It's OK, but [, BUT] some of the drivers have been zapped in eternity. PCI, sounds, videos. The guy thought BT that these had been modified or replaced since the beginning, whereas they were not available. The XP Prof is on the pc when I got it, but I assumed that the pilots were on the backup disk, I did. No, they were not. And how to go online to search for them if we could not put in place the ethernet connection?
So, I bought Win - 7 it 32-bit full ed. [be too afraid to try an upgrade].
It could have been a response in the migration of these from other drivers, but I guess it was time to go.
As I can't afford to buy new COREL, MS Word, etc, I have installed free VMWare player as a host for my older progs in a virtual environment.
Another thing came out of this: although what remained of XP has been saved by 7 as WINDOWS.old, I am very happy that I had a HDD eternal with ntfs to preserve my files and installable 3rd party progs.
I hope this might help someone - thanks for the info.

I was recently in the process of updating all my drivers on my u330-2267EU for the latest versions of Windows 7. I was waiting for this update on the site of drivers for a while since I was able to get Windows 7 installed before Oct. 22 release. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and I'm running into some trouble with these latest drivers doesn't work does not correctly.

Switchable Graphics: there are 2 new Windows 7 drivers related to the video I downloaded. One referring to the ATI graphics card discrete address and the other to the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. After installing these two, for switchable graphics BIOS setting and run the switchable graphics program from the desktop after startup, the menu desired with the ability to switch the GPU to gpu performance of energy saving. When I click on the button "gpu high performance ', the screen flickers and fades to black momentarily as it should, but when the screen comes back and then wait for a few minutes, no switch, it just stays in the powersaving gpu. Suggestions?
Power management software: I also downloaded Energy Management Windows 7 Lenovo driver for the u330. After installing the software, I was initially able to bring up the menu to change power options, but the options I chose would not involve no apparent change. After you install the program, it actually, my screen unable to change its brightness using the 'function + arrow' key combination. Also, more is when I change my windows default power supply options she adjusts the brightness of my screen. It remains just the same no matter what. The only way that I can now change my display brightness is by going to the Intel GMA graphics settings and change the settings there, but it's a completely horrible way to have to do that.
So now that you have it, after all this waiting I have always to use switchable graphics, or properly use the Lenovo power management software. Oh yes, and I can not adjust the brightness of my screen. I have re-uploaded and re-installed the drivers several times to try to make them work correctly, but so far no luck.
I would greatly appreciate any help on the subject or at least have the knowledge that someone at Lenovo noticed these problems and a fix will be available soon

Any advice on where to find the windows 7 64 bit drivers appreciated!
It seems that the HP TouchSmart 23-1014 uses the same motherboard as your 23-b099ea and uses updated for Windows 7 drivers. Please use the drivers located HERE.
I have currently a workspace Windows 10 bootable on an external hard drive that I have plug into my 2015 retina MacBook Pro. It works with my Mac because of the many Boot Camp drivers I had installed there. However, an attempt to get scroll work on my magic mouse (the only thing that does not work, oddly enough), I accidentally deleted a couple of drivers who make a programme of work that will give my scrolling the mouse capabilities. I also accidentally deleted some audio drivers, so now there is no sound. I thought I could get just the Boot Camp 6 I had and charge on that these pilots back, but unfortunately, I seem to have lost this file too! I scoured the Internet, but to no avail. Simply, I can't find a download for the drivers of Boot Camp 6.
A little help, please?
Yes, you can download the drivers using the wizard of BC. (Older versions of Mac OS X also have equivalent facilities).
My warranty is over a few months ago and I need to replace my HARD drive which is unnecessary, because all the space is taken by the OS, I can not upgrade to Windows 10. Could you please help me how to recover my key Windows and drivers HP before changing my HARD drive + tips on replacing drive HARD would be also useful. There is no service HP here so I have to do it myself.
Thank you, I finally solved the problem by creating a partition under Advanced options and recovery of Windows drive, and you select Reset. Search for main windows and use Windows system image did not work with the version of Windows OEM.
