Windows 8 for Windows 10 remote desktop does not

I have a Windows 10 remote desktop machine I connect often. In this configuration course I am able to open an Office Session remotely with the following platforms:

  1. My phone Windows 8
  2. My Ubuntu (using Remmina) office

The problem is related to my PC Windows 8.1. I checked the following:

  • Remote connections are allowed on the remote PC
  • The remote PC is allowed to enable any PC to connect
  • The remote PC is turned on

Ref: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/remote-desktop-app-faq#1TC=windows-8

I also tried to go to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server Client\Default

in the registry to delete the cache would be ins journal as well. I also deleted Default.rpd in My Documents as well.

Problem:

When I try to connect to the Windows 10 computer, the connection is established, but the connection is not accepted (keep in mind, I used this access using RDP connection on my Windows Phone and my PC Ubuntu). For some reason it does not accept my password.

Any ideas?

  • Remote Desktop does not see HP 8500

My remote desktop does not see my new HP Officejet Pro 8500.  He's always seen my printers in the past, including my HP Officejet Pro 7600 on Windows 7.  I can't understand what setting I have to miss.

Finally, I figured out, and I'll post it in case anyone else needs help.  MY remote desktop is accessible via the Terminal Server (Windows 2003 Server) services.  the driver must be loaded on the server is available with this link:

    OJP8500vA909_corporate_12_en.exe

After you have installed the driver on the server, install the printer through "add a printer", local option and uncheck "auto detect."   Find the driver on the list, and then install the printer.  Then you should be able to see it on the server.

If you then install it on a remote desktop (through the Terminal Server services), download the driver 8500 on remote desktop, install the driver on the desktop through "add a printer".   Right click on the printer on the "printers and faxes" screen and view properties.  Go to "ports" and find a port that communicates with your printer.

IT seems that a special driver must be installed on the server, and then the standard printer driver must be installed on the remote desktop.

  • Remote Desktop does not list my printer

Windows Vista, Remote Desktop and I check printers to the local resources for my connection, registered and then connected.

When I try to print from the remote computer, only "XPS document writer" is listed for my computer that I am typing, but not the regular printer, I can print from locally without problem.

Is there anything else I can do to print from the remote computer?

So that the remote session to be able to use your printer, the printer driver must be installed on the server machine or your local printer will not be displayed on the server. Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

  • Remote Desktop does not connect Win 7 on Win XP pro.

The two turned on, remote active and available on the same network. I tried to connect by the name and Ip address, but I still get the error message. Remote Desktop cannot connect to one of these reasons: 1 remote control, access to the server is not activated 2 remote computer is disabled 3 remote computer is not available on the network.   I have connected before. In fact, I went to my computer in a click with the right button on the computer in the access network, it could not connect. He gave me the opportunity to diagnose the problem, so I chose it. The result of the diagnosis was the computer appears to be correctly configured but (computer) does not. I recently, during the last week, the object a new copy of windows xp pro on the computer and I have connected with access to distance since.  Why can't connect now?

Check your firewall and router, the remote desktop protocol uses port 3389, this port must be opened.

    Anyone else having this problem?

    Best regards, Mike DePouw

    Hey Mike,

Try these 2 methods to get the full screen working in Windows 7.

    Method 1:

    a. start "Remote Desktop connection".

    b. click 'Options '.

    c. click on the "View" tab

    d. on "Display Configuration" settings, you can change the display of "Remote Desktop connection" by moving the slider of "small to large.

    e. moving the "slider" all the way to large, the display settings will automatically set in 'full screen '.

    Method 2:

Use CTRL-ALT & Break to return to the screen in full-screen.

For more information about the remote desktop connection it see below section of Windows Help.

  • Remote Desktop does not work after trying to use it to connect outside my home network.

original title: Trouble with Remote Desktop

Remote Destop worked very well with my desktop (Win 7 Pro) laptop (Win7 home prem) and then I tried to configure RD off-grid and now even can't do within the home group.  Port 3389 is open, I checked. It also goes further than "Remote configuration connection" and then expires.

Is there a way to reset by default? If not, what are the default settings in Advanced Options?

Can't believe how difficult it is.

Well, a test of telnet with success from the RDC client to a host DRC looks like this. An empty window telnet with a blinking cursor.

    http://CID-25ab668da65c8fbe.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Windows%20images/RDCSuccessfulTelnetTest.PNG

A fruitless of telnet test looks like this. You get a can't connect message.

    http://CID-25ab668da65c8fbe.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Windows%20images/RDCUnsuccessfulTelnetTest.PNG

Based on the fact that PortQryUI reports that the DRC host is listening on TCP Port 3389, it seems to me that something on this machine is blocking incoming RDC connections if I read your log file.

You have run PortQryUI on the RDC client on your local network? Which will probably appear the same as the telnet test. Here is an example of a successful test of a DRC DRC host test client.

    http://CID-25ab668da65c8fbe.photos.live.com/self.aspx/Windows%20images/PortQryUI-RDCclientExample.PNG

You run any third-party anti-virus/malware software?

You run a VPN client as a customer of Cisco for example? I've seen reports in the past of the clients VPN Cisco blocks requests from the DRC.

FWIW, you can take screenshots with Windows 7 built-in Snipping Tool and then publish them on SkyDrive and post links on the screenshots. Its easier than trying to browse a lot of ascii text... MY HUMBLE OPINION...

  • Pavilion DV7 - 1038ca Windows 7 - remote control does not

    Hi all

Because I updated the OS to Windows 7, the remote control for windows media center does more work. I am now running a windows 7 Ultimate 64B on a Pavilion DV7 - 1038ca.

I read a lot of posts and so far I have found this:

http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=PV-78236-1&LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&... but it doesn't seem to work for me as an error (9996).

Is there something I can do?

    Thank you.

    CATA

Simply because the tension seems ok doesn't mean it's all good, if it's heading 2006. Current stored in batteries, it's what makes their work.

  • Remote Desktop does not work after the recent update to VMWare Player, why?

I have VMWare Player installed on a host with multiple virtual machines. I like to the DRC to the remote host and I've been in months, but in the recent update to VMWare Player, my connection to the DRC has dropped. Now when I try to the DRC to the host it hangs at "Estimate the quality connection" after I get my user name and password, but then it stops without errors or messages. I've updated the host and rebooted several times, I also tried to DRC from a computer on the same local network as the host with no result. I have a friends in exactly the same problem, connection dropped in the middle of the update and no resolution yet. Help?

I uninstalled VMWare Player and did a clean install (rather than updating an earlier version) and the problem is solved!

  • We need a replacement for Windows Home Server that does not cost $700

We need a replacement for windows home server that does not cost as much as a PC. 2011 is not really available and 2008 has compatibility problems, because it is based on XP and Server 2003. None of the motherboard manufactures will support XP (thanks to MS) and more recent SATA drives do not work in my motherboard more old.
