WIndows 8 on MacBook Pro.

I am running a 2009 MacBook Pro and I am trying to install Windows 8 on a new partition.  There is no version of Windows installed, just OSX.  Which edition should I buy to make a new, complete installation?

  • Windows 10 on Macbook Pro

I have a 2011 13-inch Macbook Pro. I installed a windows 10 downloaded iso file and a usb port. Bootcamp won't let me install it if, advice?

A Mac 2011 does not officially support Apple for W10, then you will encounter problems of pilot. Your 2011 model has a built-in optical drive. Boot USB causes problems on these models (2012 Mac are an exception). Your W10 64 bit ISO burn to a DVD and physical BC Assistant allows you to install Windows. Do not use a combined 32-bit/64-bti Installer ISO.

  • Problem using Bootcamp to install Windows 8.1 MacBook Pro

    Hello

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, mid-2012) running OS X El Capitan v10.11.1. About two years ago, I installed Windows 8.1 using boot camp with no problems. Since then, I upgraded HDD from the laptop of the original 500 GB SSD to a Transcend JetDrive 725 960 GB SATA III. Note, this is the only upgrade material I have made to the computer. Following this hardware upgrade that I decided to only restore my Macintosh HD, or unfortunately I will not restore the Bootcamp partition.

I am now trying to install Windows 8.1 using training camp again, but unfortunately a few problems that prevent quick installation, I've experienced in the past. I have read this problem a lot but have not found a solution that works for me. Here are the steps that I've repeated several times:

-Download an ISO of 64 bit Windows 8.1 since: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows8ISO.

-Connect Force SanDisk Cruzer 8 GB USB 2.0 support

    -run Assistant Boot Camp

-check all the tasks and continue

    -create a 60 GB partition

-computer restarts automatically, and a windows setup screen

-Enter the serial number of the product

-Select installation upgrade, see here: http://s20.postimg.org/t7wy0siod/Photo_07_12_2015_12_16_23.jpg

-PROBLEM: I am told that the installation cannot complete, see here: http://s20.postimg.org/day642qa5/Photo_07_12_2015_12_16_31.jpg

I repeated this a few times with several USB 2.0 flash drives, but with the same results. I also tried selecting ' Custom: install Windows only (Advanced) ", but the next screen does not allow installation on the bootcamp partition, see here: http://s20.postimg.org/3mkq0xvgt/Photo_07_12_2015_12_15_09.jpgand here: http://s20.postimg.org/5pv58lv9p/Photo_07_12_2015_12_15_00.jpg "

I would be grateful if someone could please help with this problem.

    Thank you

    Al

It is the expected behavior. OS X does not have a license for the creation of NTFS. It creates a FAT partition. After the error, select the Format for only the partition named Bootcamp (do not use another partition) and let the installer to format it to NTFS and continue the installation.

Upgrade will not work, because there is no previous installation of Windows to upgrade. You see the error message is correct.

  • Need network drivers for Windows 7 on Macbook Pro

Original title: Network Driver issues on Macbook Pro

I just use Boot Camp to install Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro. My question is, why he does not download and install the drivers to allow me to connect to a network? I can't connect to the internet on Windows and Im getting very irritated with all the help saying to go online when I do not have the right drivers to do. I was literally just $90 for doing absolutely nothing. Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

Please join Microsoft Community where you can find the necessary information on Microsoft products!

You need network drivers for Windows 7 that is installed on the Macbook.

Drivers are the software used for communication between the operating system and a device and will be provided by the manufacturer of the device.

To use them, we would have to download and install them.

You can get the drivers for the Macbook Pro from Apple's site.

For further assistance, I suggest you to send a query to the Apple support site:

I hope this helps. If you need additional help, let us know and we would be happy to help you.

  • Win7 Pro 64-bit stuck at 65% extraction of Windows files (Apple MacBook Pro retina)

Having difficulties to install Win7 Pro 64 bit on a MacBook Pro Apple retina; whenever he gets stuck to the extraction of files Windows (65%).

To install Windows, I followed the official instructions from Apple (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201468), and in short, I used BootCamp to create installation files USB from an ISO (which worked on before Windows PC).

The MBP has restarted and Windows Setup has started, asking to specify language settings and usual keyboard. I then formatted the partition of the hard drive and began the installation process.

Copying Windows files works very well but as I say it is stuck in the extraction of files Windows (65%).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    For Info:

The MBP's only got USB3.0 ports.

I used a USB 2.0, USB 2.0 hard drive and a USB3.0 stick. All had exactly the same result.

I tried different partitions of sizes from 20 GB to 70 GB. All had exactly the same result.

I tried following some online articles to change regarding the "boot.wim" to include pilots USB3.0 to overcome this problem, but this does not seem to have made a difference.

Apple tell me that, like the partition was created and the Windows installation has started, it must be a Windows problem not Apple.

    Any help is welcome.

    Thank you!

I gave to install another go this morning.

Started from scratch and went back through the entire process of bootcamp, but also actually one patch driver USB3.0 (modify the boot.wim file)

This time, it worked. I can't say it was definitely the fix (happened to use a USB3.0 drive to a USB3.0 port) but it got blocked only at 65% for 10-15 minutes, then stuck at 96% for 5-10 minutes.

The rest of the installation went well after that.

  • NO SOUND - Windows 7 on MacBook Pro

I have no sound from my speakers or audio mini plug, but I get audio through my HDMI to my TV adapter.

I just had Apple Genius Bar install Bootcamp with a 40 GB Partition. Then I did a standard installation of Windows 7 Home Premium w / SP1, 64-bit. I then completed all Windows updates until he finally said I was updated.

Then I installed Total Defence award-winning Internet Security (Firewall, virus/malware protection, etc.)

    Here's my spec Info:

    MacBook Pro 7.1 (mid-2010) 13 "

Mac OS is OS X 10.8.5

CPU: 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce 320 M

    SATA/SATA Express: NVidia MCP89 AHC1

    RAM: 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3

    HD: Hitachi disk SATA HTS545032B9SA02

My audio drivers are: high definition Audio Device & NVIDIA High Definition Audio

    Solving problems is already done:

A ran the Windows Audio troubleshooting tool, which found nothing wrong

I have no error message or an exclamation for devices

I tried to update the drivers. The system registered initially 4 drivers: 2 each high definition Audio Device and 2 each NVIDIA High Definition Audio. Two of the NVIDIA drivers said they were up-to-date, one of the drivers updated to the NVIDIA drivers and the other driver Def high high definition Audio Device did not update. I now seem to have 3 drivers NVIDIA High Definition Audio and 1 high definition Audio Device driver.

Thanks for your help in advance! I'm a computer guy a little basic level, any help is greatly appreciated!

    Dan

    I FOUND THE SOLUTION!

    1. go to http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5634?viewlocale=en_US

    2. go to halfway to the bottom of this page and select the computer on which you have. For me it was the MacBook Pro.

    3. click on the link that identifies your computer and a grid opens that displays the different Mac models and operating systems. The grid will determine what version of Bootcamp your computer needs.

    4. click the version within the grid link and it takes you to the appropriate download page.

    5. download the bootcamp on a FAT32 formatted the flash drive, then expand all files.

    6. open the main folder, then the folder drivers and find the right driver for your sound and reinstall. For me, it was the record of Cirrus. There was a 32-bit and 64-bit. I reinstalled 64 bit and then tested my sound and it works!

I'm not really a computer guy, but I just kept trying different options and it is the one that worked for me. I hope it will work for you! I think that the steps listed above are accurate, but they could be just a touch off or something. I don't want to reproduce the entire sequence by fear to play something else.

    Good luck!

  • Question AHCI with Bootcamp Windows 7 on Macbook Pro (please help!)

Hello, I've been running into issues with my Early 2011 15 "Macbook Pro since I used Bootcamp to install Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium on my new Samsung 840 Evo SSD, I installed in it." What I read, it meets the criteria to run AHCI, but for some reason, I can do activate or install the Intel series 6 Chipset AHCI drivers.

I was thrown around the web with people saying: they got their SSD to work on the Windows partition, but I can't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Here is the link that I got more at Apple, which has all of the other information that you might be looking. If this isn't the case, please post and I will reply as soon as possible.

  • Is it possible to transfer my Photoshop CS5 Windows on my Macbook Pro?

I have the photoshop CS5 on my windows and I was wondering if it is possible to transfer the program to my Macbook Pro. If possible, it would be wonderful to have instructions on how to do it. Thank you

    Hi Emily,.

No, you can run software Win on Mac or Mac on Windows.  They use serial numbers.  A swap of platform/language is now available for Creative Suite 6 qualifying products. CS5 is no longer eligible.  He's too old.

Exchange a product for a different version of the language or platform

My advice is to get a subscription to creative cloud.  You can have multiple versions installed-by-side (CS6, CC2014, CC 2015) and you can install on Win, Mac, or both.

  • With the help of Outlook for Windows on my Macbook Pro 13 "(the end of 2013)

    Help! Please, I beg you!

I'm being forced to adopt Outlook for Windows to interface with a NetSuite product that transfers information back and forth between Outlook and NetSuite. A work requirement. And NetSuite has yet to acknowledge that everyone works in a Windows environment or on a PC.

In an ideal world, I would like to continue to work in the environment, I am used to use (all my favorites on OS X) when switching from time to time in Outlook for Windows to activate the Netsuite interface.

Good speed, maybe not as fast in general, I imagine running a Windows operating system parallel through something like VM Fusion would be the option the easier for me, since I go back through the day.

I'm not an expert user, so I need to keep things simple and stable.

    Your advice would be welcome.

    Thank you very much!

VirtualBox is free. Parallels and Fusion are commercial products. With any VM product, if you sufficient safe, you can run the Windows host OSX reviews and use Outlook for Windows in the VM to interface with Netsuite.

Please verify that NetSuite is supported under Windows on a virtual Mac machine.

Another option is to use Bootcamp/Windows and use a VM engine to import the BC/Windows as a virtual machine.
