Windows 8 Professional 64-Bit Conquest Frontier Wars compatibility
I have the conquest: Frontier Wars put up on my computer (HP Elitebook 2760 p), using Windows 8 Pro 64-Bit. I try to start it, but it opens, charge and try to go full screen (its default value), and then it crashes. (by default the message 'conquest has stopped working"). I tried to run under XP SP3 and Vista SP2 compatibility settings, because I know that it worked on both, but it always crashed. Anyone able to offer different settings that could make it work?

Hello
I see that you have a problem in the installation of new Windows USB port. It seems that your HDD was not detected, right? It's because your laptop uses a SATA HDD.
what you need to do are:
1. download the driver AHCI SATA website of intel. (just google it)
2. copy the files (size 700 KB for 6 files) into the new USB
3. reboot and install your laptop with win 7 (dvd/usb)
4. by the time win 7 installation reached the drive to install (none detected), click load drivers.
5. now load your other USB SATA drivers.
6. then will show all disks in your system.
7. continue with the installation process.
hope this helps.

Hi guys, I installed wacom and Qmenu program but, I have a really weird problem because writing pad and screen rotation buttons are working well but the Qmenu (Q) button does not work . I installed the latest version of wacom (5.05 - 7) and Qmenu (06.50.09.01) and I use the version of windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

My laptop camera image on the upside after the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.
I have a laptop Asus G50Vt - X 1, which is a 64-bit computer. It had Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit installed on it and the unit worked properly with him. I ran the update of Windows 7 Advisory on this matter and he said I could upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit. After the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit the images from the camera are all upside. I contacted Asus about the problem and they sent me the drivers updated, but the images are still upside down. Pourrait Windows 7 cause this problem as I know that it worked fine under Vista?
I also noticed that my dvd/cd player and external hard drives don't stop the execution after that I have quit an application. When this happens, I can't eject the cd or remove the drive from the computer.
Windows Update has nothing to do with the upgrade of Windows. Post future questions in one of these forums, please: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7install/threads

I have a gateway Windows XP with 2 RAM slots. Originally, there were two 256 mg RAM. To increase my RAM, gateway who sent Kingston 1 GB DDR2 memory live extra. In order to install my XP 32 bit to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, I need 1 GB of additional RAM. My questions are the following:
(1) can I just install another 1 GB of RAM in the housing currently containing one of the original MGs 256 of RAM? (2) make a DDR2 1 GB RAM module? The instructions of Kingston show that DDR2 and DDR modules are not interchangeable.
Thank you.

Read manuals for said material or contact the manufacturer of the device of said responding better material questions. In this case you may also look here:

Use the Advisor to memory with the brand & model of your computer to see what to buy. However - given what you have - I would replace the entire machine with a refurbished with Windows 7 included.

OfficeJet K8600 and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
My Officejet k8600 printer refuses to print full size 11 x 17 drawings. Instead of printing a full-size drawing 11 x 17, I get a 8.5 x 11 print. This only happens with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. This printer worked fine with Windows XP. I really need the ability to print 11 x 17 drawings. Help, please!
Never mind. I fixed it myself.
I uninstalled hundreds of megabytes of useless HP driver software.
I restarted my computer with the printer usb cable unplugged.
When I reconnected the printer cable, Windows 7 loaded drivers from the Windows Update server.
I can now print documents of size 11 x 17 prints as well as 8.5 x 11.

Thank you for your quick response to my previous question on the upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. By the Windows Upgrade Advisor, my system will be the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Professional with my current RAM. I'd still get faster with Windows 7 I have with my XP 32 bit?
Thank you.
Hi Carrie,
Thanks for choosing Windows and thank you for providing an opportunity to help you.
According to the description, you have a query related to the speed of Windows 7 32 bit.
Yes, the processing power will increase when Windows 7 is a more recent operating system, compared to Windows XP.
Meet us if you encounter any other Windows problem, and we would be happy to help you.

Kodak esp3250 drivers do not install on Windows XP Professional 64-bit
Hello
I just want to ask if it is possible to download drivers for my Kodak ESP 3250 printer. I heard that it is not compatible with Windows XP Professional 64-bit machines, but I think that it is not true.Thank youZuga01If you really have XP Pro x 64 (which is rare), you're right that current software/driver Kodak for its all-in-one printers (including the ESP 3250) will not work for your operating system. See http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/32108/selected/true
It is possible that Kodak may have an older version of its software that works. See http://support.en.kodak.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/23858/related/1/selected/true

Hello
This is an option that you can use.
Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the activation code on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).
First, click on the Start Menu, open computer and double-click Local C drive - you should see a folder called swsetup. This will contain all the driver installers and almost every program to install the software for your laptop - support this until an external support/device.
You can create an installation disk yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( it must be the OS exactly the same as originally supplied with your laptop, but the 32-bit version ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here. These Images are clean and a well respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

Hello
Anyone know how to get a new existing product key of windows XP Professional 32-bit OS? (my key has reached the max limit).
Please HELP URGENTLY if youi can as I have now just 1 day left to activate (& risk losing all my work in the last days where I reformatted and reloaded all programs, etc.). Really, I don't want to not upgrade to windows 7 (already tried) until I absolutely have to also really enjoy windows xp prof os - but complete support & can't buy more then? Download the new key or extend my use of existing key?
PLSE Help!
Thank you
Angie
There is no such thing as a "max usage limit" (other than to be in use on a single computer at a time) for a Windows XP product key.
There is no limit to the number of times where you can reinstall and activate the same license of Windows XP on the same PC. Is never a charge. No more than a product key (as long as it is not an evaluation license) never expire. If it's been more than 120 days you finally turned on this specific product key, you will probably be able to activate via the Internet without problem. If it was less, you may need to do a five minute phone call.
Here are the facts relating to activation:
