Windows 8 start problem

Hi guys.

I am currently having a problem with my laptop that is happening for about 3-4 days. My laptop is a Lenovo G580 with Windows 8. It's another 3-4 months and it worked perfectly. But one day I started it upward and this rpoblem occurred:
Failed to start Windows Boot management
Audit of the media [Fail]
EFI network 0 for IPv6 (B8-88-E3-91-96-B20 boot failed
Audit of the media [Fail]
EFI network failure 0 for start in IPv4 (B8-88-E3-91-96-B2)
Lenovo Reovery starting system failed.
After that, it shows up next:
Default Boot Device missing or startup failed.
Insert the recovery media and press a key
Then select the Boot Manager to choose a new shoe
Device or to initiate a recovery media.
The Boot Manager appears and I chose every single on of them but it failed and he says:
No boot device - please reboot
And when it restarts, the same thing all going again. What should I do?

To format your storage without any os device, you must insert original windows bootable CD/DVD. Starting the DVD room, then choose 'custom' instead of 'upgrade '. Format the partition, then reinstall your windows.

Note: it does not really need to format the hard drive. "Inaccessible" may mean that your hard drive cable has been removed. Try to re - check hard drive (linked to the motherboard) data cable and power cable (connected with power suply)

I have recently installed windows 8 on my Toshiba NB300 and everytime I turn on the computer with the power button, the computer turns off a few seconds later.

Only on the second attempt Windows 8 starts normally, giving me the indication of an error.
This happens the first time I turn on my computer with the power button.

I appreciate your help to solve the described problem behind.

    Hello

How did you install the 8 Win?
You've improved the Win 7 to 8 Win or you did a clean installation?

It might be possible that some pre-installed drivers or tools are not compatible with Win 8 and therefore, there is a problem when starting.

  • Manual activation of Windows 7 Starter problems

Had to reinstall Windows 7 Starter on my netbook because of hard drive problems.  Not erase hard drive so that files can be recovered from the Windows.old folder. Activation key to be recovered with a recovery key as sticker placement program poor and quality caused the sticker with activation key to become unreadable.  The documents accompanying the netbook had no secondary key.

The activation key for the initially installed copy of Windows 7 Starter is giving error messages, but the computer will also not give me the phone number to call for a manual activation.  Do not have other other error messages that the requested activation key invalid.

  • Windows XP starts problems with Satellite M30

My M30 has operated for two years until a few days ago when he suddenly would ' t restart after running a Microsoft security update. He gave me different boot in safe mode options, normally, etc., but none of them work.

I was told that if I use my recovery DVDs. It will clean my drive hard and with him all my files. I understand that my Windows XP software is on this DVD - I certainly don't have a disk full. It is true that I will not have the opportunity to try to repair or to cure the problem and if so will it buy an OEM Windows XP and install it separately? Or should I do something else entirely?

Can anyone give me any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

Tried set your windows to an earlier point of your 'system-recovery-point' that appears with the options-> boot in safe mode - boot in safe mode with network - etc.etc...

It this fails, then you need to recover your entire system.

In the first, true it s: you can't heal or repair your system with the recovery dvd, you can just reinstall your entire system and you have an operating system as the first day after you bought this machine.

So, your only choice will be to reinstall your system to correct it, and to avoid the installation of EACH update to Microsoft because I had a lot of problems with some updates that causes my machine to do things like non-boot or some software crashes. It s better to stay informed about updates and install them just after you verified that the isn´t of update affecting your system stability or performance.

To back up your files and recover your system, that you have to do following things:

You said that your system is not initialized, but you need your files.
Just take a UBCD4Win (http://www.ubcd4win.com/) from the Internet and initialize with this CD. You will have access to your files with this WindowsPE on CD and you will be able to back up your data on a USB drive or burn your stuff on the CD.
Now, you need to start the recovery cd and let the automatic installation script do the rest. It will delete your entire hard drive and reinstall the system. After that, you can put the data saved to your hard drive.

I hope that I might be able to help you. If you have any other questions just ask.

    Welcome them

  • Windows 7 starts problems with black screen and the cursor because of power failure

I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium OS. Start-up problems arose after the power failure (accidentally unplugged the charger, the battery was not in place) during a video call in Skype. Accessories attached to the laptop at the time were a Logitech Webcam, a dongle Bluetooth, microphone and headphones.

When starting my laptop Asus N81VP, he'll go as far as the 'Starting Windows' logo, then I meet a black screen with a mobile cursor. I don't then right click, CTRL + ALT + DELETE.

    I tried the things:

Start Up Repair = "cannot automatically repair."

System Restore = no available restore points

Windows Memory Diagnostic = at 100%, no screen of detected problems, then black with mobile cursor

Networking Mode Safe Mode/Safe = black screen with cursor mobile

Activate video low resolution (640 x 480) = black screen with cursor mobile

Good known Configuration = black screen with cursor mobile list

Start Windows normally = black screen with cursor mobile

Please help me. I've had this laptop for less than a year, and it would break my heart to have to re - format.

You seem to have exhausted most of the options available in such cases, except two:
D ' log in under a different account.
-To restore your registry files manually. See below for more details.

On your heart that could get broken: have you considered using the imaging facility that is integrated with Windows 7? You can find it in the control panel / backup and restore. This is somewhat marginal in the feature and it can be finicky, but it saved my butt several times.

You can restore your registry files manually to a previous point through the steps described below. The process is complex and requires some careful typing. Ask a computer-savvy friend to help you if you lack experience in this field. Note that it may reset your password to a previous value.
    1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
    2. Select repair in the menu that looks like this:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
3 log in as administrator if you are prompted.
    4. Select repair when prompted.
    5. Select the command line in the menu that looks like this:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7
    6. identify the correct drive letter for your Windows installation. It could be one drive other than c, but it will not X:. You do this by typing commands
    DIR C:\Win*
    Dir D:\Win*
    dir E:\Win*
until you find the Windows folder.
    I'll call this "Q:" drive
    7 type these commands:
    CD /d Q:\windows\System32\config
    xcopy *. * Q:\MyRegBack\
    CD RegBack
    dir
    8. review the dates of the software, system, and SAM files. The files created before or after that is your problem?
    9. If they were made before the problem appeared, you can then type these commands:
    copy software / y...
    /y copy system...
    /y copy Sam...
(the two points are part of each order)
    10. restart normally. If things don't work then you can go back by copying files from the original register of Q:\MyRegBack to Q:\Windows\System32\config.

  • Windows 8 start problem, due to an accidental installation of Windows XP on another partition

I had Windows 8 Pro on one partition and Windows XP SP3 on another partition for some time and I could choose which start. I decided to remove Win XP and format the partition on that Win XP has been installed. I tried to do it by using formatting option Win XP CD that appears before installation; However, I accidentally installed Win XP on the same partition. The problem is that my laptop is no longer recognizes Win 8 and begins on Win XP. I was wondering if by any chance I could collect Win 8?

Furthermore, the Win 8 partition is installed, is intact and healthy with all the files inside Windows. Also, I tried to update or reset the installation of Win 8 to help to win 8 DVD, however, it did not work; as a message appears saying that the drive is locked.

I thank very you much for your time.

    Impatience on your part.

    Amir

    Hey Amir,

It seems that the boot loader is damaged. You need to install the earlier operating system first, and then install the latest operating system. If you do not have (for example, if you install Windows XP on a computer that is already running Windows 8), you can make your system unusable. This can happen because earlier versions of Windows do not recognize the startup files used in more recent versions of Windows and can overwrite them.

As you have reinstalled Windows XP on a computer running Windows 8, it has destroyed the boot loader.

    Follow these steps.

We need to rebuild the Boot Configuration data (BCD). For this we need an installation of Windows 8 media.  If you do not have an installation, you can create a.

    Refer to this article.

Follow the article above to download the installer of Windows 8.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

To create the installation media, as a result of this article.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

Here are the steps to fix this problem.

    a. Insert the Windows 8 installation media and start the computer using the disc.

Note: You will need to consult the computer manual on how to set the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device in the BIOS.

    b. Once you start using the installation disk of Windows, on the installation of Windows 8 window, click on repair your computer.

    c. click Troubleshooting and Advanced options.
    d. Select command prompt. Type the following commands in the command prompt and press ENTER after each command.

    Bootrec /fixmbr
    Bootrec /fixboot
    Bootrec /scanos
    Bootrec /rebuildbcd

Once the order is complete, restart the computer.

Let us know if it helps. If you have any other questions, we will be happy to help you.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair of the disc.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

You can also make recovery disk/s since the Partition of recovery in case of hard drive failure or System Crash, when you are in service again.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

As a first step, you have XP Home, which means that the 'Simple file sharing' is applied on this machine.  In addition, this means that any network connection on your XP Home of any another machine machine is forced to authenticate you as a user 'Guest', regardless of what a privilege that may be the real user.  In from here, it would seem that the 'Guest' user doesn't have privilege for the files or folders that you share.  To resolve this problem, you must change the access permissions to these files.

If you drag (move) files on your computer in your share folder, the origin on the file permissions will be maintained.  On the contrary, I would say that you copy the file to the shared folder by dragging with the right button of the mouse and select 'Copy' instead of 'move '.  A copied file will end with permissions for the destination folder that will be generally more suitable for sharing.

To the files and folders that are already in this folder, to change permissions, you must Access the 'Security' tab under the Properties screen.  In XP Home, this is possible if you log in as administrator in "safe" mode  To start your computer in Safe Mode (repeatedly tap the F8 during the startup key key), connect you as an administrator user, navigate to the file or the folder with problems of access, right-click on it, select 'Properties', select the 'Security' tab and set security such as 'everyone' (or 'guest') has the privilege of access you want.

  • Windows XP Installation problem with Windows 7 Starter home

I was told that I would have no problem of family Windows XP Setup on a new computer comes pre loaded with Windows 7 Starter.

When I insert the CD with Windows XP, I get the following:

    Run setup.exe

I click on install Windows XP

Program is blocked due to compatibility issues.

Setup cannot continue because the version on the computer is newer than the version on CD.

Anyone know how to solve this problem and install Windows XP?

    Thank you Don

    Hello

I understand that you want to install Windows XP on Windows 7 Starter Edition.

    (1) is the retail Windows XP version or OEM version, you are trying to install?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. As the operating system installed on your computer is newer than the operating system you are trying to install.

To resolve this problem, you need to do a clean install to install Windows XP, and you try to run Windows 7 Setup, it will not work. So, I suggest you to boot from the XP CD (if necessary, first change the boot order in the BIOS) and follow the instructions for a clean install. It will initially format the drive for you, so make sure you back up everything you don't want to lose to external media first.

I hope this helps. Try the above steps and get back to us for assistance. We will be happy to help you.

  • Windows Vista... Starting problems

I left my computer, but he died later have not used for some time. For about two weeks I gave it like that. When I pressed the power button, it picked up windows as usual and then frozen to the password screen. I turned off the computer by pressing the power button. When I turned it back on it does not boot to vista. I unplugged everything and then through the steps. He brought me to a black screen where I left it sit for 10 minutes, then a message from the displayed Windows Boot Manager saying windows had encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer (my hard drive). I need to start because he has videos of my nephew on them and I don't want to lose them. Is there something I can do?
