Windows 8 will run smoothly on 256 MB memory graphics system?

Hello

I have a laptop of HCL

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual CPU T2390 @1. 86 GHz

Memory: 2.50 GB (2,37 GB usable)

DirectX 11

There is no dedicated graphics card, it has only 256 MB memory graphics system.

Now, I have installed Windows 8 on this (new installation) and I can see the screen slightly flickering even to stand still. Movement reduced the sweetness away. Any new window that appears is really slow. Scrolling on screen of tiles of windows isn't smooth at all. 720 p or 1080 p videos play at x almost 0.1 or 0.2 x the speed, the sound is good, the video gives the problem (lags the sound).

I checked the CPU usage in Task Manager, while the very general process running like IE10, File Explorer and an analysis of the system.

And CPU and disk usage are constantly in the 1990s (RED ZONE). Memory is 35-45%.

So, I want to know what I can do for a smooth Windows 8 experience? It is the processor or have anything to do with the thing of the graphics card?

NA

You ask a hardware too few to do too much.  You have min RAM, GPU and CPU minutes unless.

You can't really change much other than material.

  • 8.1 Windows Pro will run in my PC smoothly?

Good evening. I have a little doubt whether to upgrade my PC to 8.1 Windows of Windows 7. I read a lot of reviews on Windows 8.1 and I think I'm hooked with some interesting features of it. But I wish to address the first things must considerate. I know, there is very little need to confirm before making an upgrade as requirements so that 8.1 will be a good choice. I want to see if my PC can handle Windows 8.1 with change PC lists:

Installed memory: 2 GB 800 MHz

Processor: Dual Core, Intel Pentium 2.4 GHz

SSE2 EAP, NX, taken in charge

Graphics card: Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family.

Please help me if it is better to do the upgrade. Please indicate the ADVANTAGES and DISADVANTAGES to do thank you and God bless :)

You can run, but he's going to run very slowly.  I certainly do not recommend unless you get at least 4 GB of memory RAM.  It is not expensive.

If you want to try, just be warned that you are in for a very slow computer.

I disagree, its going to be slow, I 8.1 Windows on a system with 2 GB RAM and Intel P4 2.0 GHz and it works enough. This isn't a speed demon, but it doesn't feel or run slowly. The applications launch and reasonably fast loading and continues during a 9 to 5 work day. Of course, more RAM is always better, especially if you want to do a lot of multitasking and you have a lot of tabs open in Internet Explorer.

In the end, it boils down to what the user:

-Productivity office (word processor, spreadsheet, graphics presentations)

-Web browsing (social networks, Youtube, email)

    -Email

    -Listen to music

Of course, if the user intends to run heavy apps like AutoCAD, QuickBooks, then you might see a significant performance drop, if you use Windows 7 or Windows 8.1.

To be honest, an SSD upgrade would in practice be the most good that still maxing out the RAM from storage will always be the bottleneck.

  • First pro 2015 will run smoothly on a macbook of 2013 pro (i7, 16 GB of RAM and 256 MB of VRAM)?

First Pro CC 2014 worked on my macbook with very little trouble, but I need to upgrade to be able to share files with another editor. Is anyone 2015 successfully running on a similar machine?

2013 macbook pro (i7, 16 GB RAM, 256 MB of VRAM)

    Thank you.

    Hi Ed,

2013 macbook pro (i7, 16 GB RAM, 256 MB of VRAM)

A certified GPU is a condition of 'optional' system, it should be OK. You won't have just any GPU acceleration. This will not be the most powerful system, so make sure that you adjust your expectations accordingly.

    Thank you

  • Windows 7 will run on a PowerEdge T110 ii? Network drivers?

I searched the forum search, but couldn't find a clear answer.

Is - this Windows 7 64-bit work a Poweredge T110 ii? with hard disks that are mirrored and the network drivers? I plan on buying a brand new ii of T110, but I watched the support drivers and did not find Windows 7 on this list, only the Server 2008 and other. Please notify. I want a quality system of server for reliability, but with a client OS.

I used the Dell system Build and Update Utility to install Win7 on my PE T610. Since the system disk build, I chose Win Server 2008 R2 as the OS to install. I believe that this creates an installation environment with the appropriate drivers for your hardware. After a reboot, the Build environment system asks you to insert the OS installation disc in which case I insert my Win7 installation disc. The process then continues as normal win7 installation process. No need to load the drivers, etc as this has already been done by the utility of generation.

Note that some features will not work without effort. OMSA must, for example, some functions of the server operating system to this fact will not easily run on a desktop based system. It makes it more difficult to administer your Windows computer.

This should give you all the information to twist and streamline your system for maximum game performance.

Consulting services running on your computer by using the Task Manager

You can use Manager tasks to display the services that are running on your computer. You can also find processes that could be associated with a particular service. (A process is a file, for example an executable file that ends with an .exe file name extension, that the computer uses to directly start a program or to start other services.)

    1. Click to open the Task Manager.

    2. Click the Services tab to see the services that are running under your user account.

    3. To find out if there is a process associated with a service, right-click on the service and then click go to process. If go to process is gray out and unavailable, it's because the selected service is currently stopped. The status column indicates whether a service is running or stopped.

    Notes

    • If you click go to process but no process is not highlighted in the processes tab, the process is not running under your user account. To view all processes, click the processes tab, and then click Show processes from all users. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Click the Services tab, and then try again to see the process.

    • If you right-click a process on the tab process, then click go to service (s), but you don't see any highlighted services, then the process does not all associated services, regardless of whether processes from all users are shown or not.

    • Clicking Services at the bottom of the Services tab opens the Services Microsoft Management Console (MMC) snap-in, where advanced users can view more details about services and configure additional options.

  • Windows 7 will run older versions or Explorer

I learned that my main Web-based commerce site only works on upto Internet Explorer (IE) version 5.5, 6.0, or 7.0.
You can download and use the above on windows 7?

You can not install IE7 or you can downgrade IE8 to IE7 in Win7.

However, you can usurp IE7 User Agent strings to make a wepage or application on the web (but not an installed appliction) "think" you are using IE7. See http://www.enhanceie.com/ua.aspx or http://www.enhanceie.com/ietoys/uapick.asp

  • Windows 10 will change my current setup of the operating system on files on the SSD HARD drive and program/user?

Way back when I upgraded my main drive to a SSD, I used the following to put all the files of program/user on my HARD drive.  My questions are:

    1. What are replaced to the default settings?

    2. If so, what measures are needed to reach my current setup?

    d:\Users d:\ProgramData

I would advise against using a script that in the beginning, because some people have had the tough get windows to read files that are not where they are supposed to be.

For applications and other personal files, 10 Windows offers a similar feature in the settings.

Program files (and the similar system attributes) should probably be intact until the symbolic links (which redirect Windows when he tries to find the file) running again. The application of this article did not work because Windows 7 was new, and equivalents of the command prompt (how I got to this topic) do not work.

If you go for an upgrade, instead of a clean install, I would consider coming back from these changes to avoid damage or errors during the transition.
