Windows Boot Camp icon shows not boot disk

Hello guys!

I just installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit edition. I used the wizard Bootcamp, and everything seems to have been installed correctly. I did not use any Wizard part 3rd NTFS to format the partition. I just followed the steps with the Bootcamp assistant. When I'm on Windows, I can easily switch from Win to Mac OS with Boot Camp assistant. However, if you use Mac OS, the icon for windows is absent in the startup disk. There is only the Mac OS disk. I can only switch to windows if I restart my computer and click on the option. Is it possible for the Windows Boot Camp icon appears in the Start Option? I use a Macbook Pro retina, 13-inch, late 2013, running on a Mac OS X El captain, version 10.11.5. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

Please after the release of the following OSX Terminal commands.

    Hello world

I had the same problem and I solved it by unplugging my pc to the modem, wait about 30 seconds and reconnected. This means that if you do the same thing with your network adapter problem could be solved. Try this option, you will not lose anything

  • Windows Photo Viewer icon is not displayed

    I use Windows XP.

I installed Picasa Photo Viewer and photo file icons in 'Windows Explorer' under Windows Picture Viewer in Picasa.

After UN-installing Picasa and the restart, photos open with Windows Picture Viewer again (which is what I want), but Picasa is always displayed next to the name of photo file in Windows Explorer. Once the photo file has been opened, however, the Windows Picture Viewer icon is displayed in the upper left corner.

Newly saved photo files are also open with Windows Picture Viewer, but are showing the Picasa icon beside the name of photo file in Windows Explorer.

How can change the icons of picture file to the Windows image viewer in Windows Explorer?

  • The text on the Windows Paint program icon does not work

I use Vista and do not know if this is the reason why the text icon does not work. All other icons work. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Hi bipsvic,

Since when are you facing this problem?
    If it works well before?

I suggest that you want to run the file system (CFS) Checker scan that might help you to solve the issue.
To determine if the problem you are experiencing is caused by one or more system files that are used by Windows Vista, run the System File Checker tool. The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions.

To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:

    1. Click Start and type cmd in the box start the search.
    2. right click on cmd in the list programs and then click Run as administrator.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
    3. at the command prompt, the following line, and then press ENTER:
     sfc/scannow

When the analysis is complete, test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved. If the problem you are experiencing is not resolved, use the procedure that is described in the section "the System Restore tool.

Follow the instructions in the link below for more information on scan SFC.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/936212/

Check whether the problem is resolved.

If this does not work, you can try to create the new user account by following the instructions in the link below and check if it works.

  • Some icons showing not

    Hello

I'm having a problem where some icons may not display properly.  This isn't a problem on the desktop, but rather inside the menus and other aid. Instead of the icon, I get a white box indicates where the icon expected to be, and the text is display.    I'm running an Asus U46E with Windows 7 Home Pro SP1.  My graphics card is an Intel HD 3000 onboard and drivers are up to date.  I've attached a screen of award of the aid.  Thank you!

    Hello

    Sorry for the late reply.
You have another user account to check if you are facing the same issue?
It would be possible that the user account is damaged.  Create a new user account and check.

If the problem is resolved in the new user account, this means that the old user profile is damaged.

  • Windows 7 taskbar icon shows do not when the pinned

Hi all, I have a little problem. I don't know what caused it, but I can pin is no longer in my taskbar Windows Explorer without the breaking of the icon.

Here's the strange thing - I can pin to the taskbar, but at this time, the image is replaced by this icon. As long as the Windows Explorer is not pinned, normal folder icon appears fine. I tried to restart, which didn't help, and I don't have any system restore points available. I use several custom made icons, but nothing that has nothing to do with Windows Explorer. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You need to find the file in \AppData\Local% user_name %C:\Users\

Samira Ali\AppData\Local C:\Users\ is specific to the user Kousik Adhikary

You can run from the command line (start > run > cmd or start > Search: CMD):

    DEL /AH "C:\Users\% user_name %\AppData\Local\IconCache.db.

This will remove the file, and then restart the computer

UPDATE: ONLY STOP THEM ALL OF THE SERVICES OF THE EXPLORER. EXE, IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO RESTART WINDOWS.

    1. CTRL + Alt + Delete: Start Task Manager
    2. Right click then stop in each line with Explorer.exe
    3. File > new task (Run...)
    4. Write "Explorer.exe" and then close the windows
  • Windows Update notification icon does not

    Hello

On my laptop when there are available windows updates and then in the box notification blue windows update icon appears, download updates and tell me if I have to restart my computer. My father has a new office, also windows 7, and instead of this icon, the indicator for the Action Center pops up and says there are windows updates. How to do his job the same as mine? All settings inside the update of windows are the same.

    Thank you

    guru84,
Make sure you check the settings in the center of the action and the Notification area settings.  Display icons in the Notification area of change  Also will show a number of icons in the notification area.  It is possible that when updates are available, the Windows Update icon is active, but just not visible.  When you receive an alert Action Center, click the triangle to the left of the notification area button and see if the Windows Update icon is there.  If this is the case, click on, and then drag it to the visible area.

  • E-mail on the Start Menu of Windows Vista top icon does not work

Icon of e-mail on the top of the Start Menu of Windows Vista does not work. It displays a generic icon and when clicked shows an error message that reads as follows: "Explorer.EXE - Application not found. What I want to do is to launch Windows Live Mail (version 2009). The application works normally at the start of the Menu start Windows Live Group. I can not select Windows Live Mail as the default mail in the window client Customize Start Manu, because it does not appear there at all. There is an entry under the name "Windows Live Mail", but it defines the mail client by default for the site Web of Windows Live Mail, not the program. I tried to reinstall and repair Windows Live Essentials, but neither helped.

I am able to connect to internet wireless and wired connections. However, when I am connected to the Internet by cable, the internet icon taskbar displays a red x over the empty bars wireless. The message displayed while I move the pointer over the icon is 'Internet access'.

When I'm connected to the wireless internet, the internet icon from the task bar shows a yellow star (error) with a message that 'Internet connections are available.

I tried a lot of things except the re-installation of windows. I disabled the adopters of network and active then those. I have those uninstalled and reinstalled the network (of window updates) with hp drivers. I corrected the permission settings and all have full access except the creator owner. I also reset the Task Manager task bar icons. Nothing has fixed the icon.
