• 7780 all in one print via bluetooth from a PC Windows 7, but not the other

• Can access folder on a computer, but not the other

  I have a vista computer that has a folder that I want to join.  I have 2 computers newly built win7.  I can access the folder on the vista computer with win7 computers only.  I went through everything I can think of and all settings appear to be identical between the two platforms of win7.  I took a peek in the management of the computer sessions and my computer with win7 I can't access it from is listed as a guest, not my user name.  I have no idea why, all the comp have same login name, password and admin access.  I have disabled guest accounts.  It's the only thing I can find different between win7 computers which could explain why I can't access the folder in question.

  Anyone know how I can transfer my network setting win7 rig with access to the other without, or fix everything that's wrong with my access rights so that I can get the folder I want?  I can see the drives and folders that I shared.  I can not open them, I get one you don't have permission to access this folder message.  I have everything I can find associated with sharing turned on (except the password) and everything related to the firewall disabled is trying to access.

  This could be a problem with the permissions of files and folders.  The following procedure will help you change the owonership and permissions of files and folders.

  1. right click on the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.

  2. click on Advancedand then click the owner tab.

  3. click on Editand then do one of the following:

  o to change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click other users and groups , in area enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click OK.

  o to change the owner to a user or group that appears in the area of change of ownership to , click the new owner.

  4. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the checkbox replace the owner of sub containers and objects .

  5. click OKand then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:

  You are not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

  All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes.
  
  Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

  6. click on OKand then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

• Error 101 when you navigate to specific site but only the House on WAG160N

  We are working on a new site that is hosted on Rackspace. http://travelcafe.co

  For some inexplicable reason, we have intermittent connection problems when you try to access this site and the backend of wordpress. We are able to access it for an hour or two and then it would become unavailable and this can be for an hour or more. During these times, we get an "error 101.

  Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): the connection has been reset.

  This problem is almost certainly unique in our location / ADSL connection. We had people to other places check as we are unable to access the site and when they can. We also checked the site using the 3G network and is accessible when we have our ADSL connection problems.

  We tried to use static DNS addresses (Telecom, then Google, then Open DNS)
  We put in a cell Modem ADSL Dynalink RTA1025W thinking it was a problem with the modem.
  We tried the Telecom standard Modem Thomson, but caused even more problems (binned that one too).
  Now, we have installed a new Linksys WAG160N, but we have the same problem (but a prettier modem)

  Discussions with the support of Telecom were unsuccessful

  We connect (in case it isn't already obvious) via the ADSL of Telecom network. I am based in Manly, Auckland NZ. Our connection is also very well even if we have noticed on some of our devices recently that Facebook and Google.co.nz are unavailable for a short period. Often from right within 30 seconds approximately. This may be related.

  The Travelcafe.co domain name is registered with GoDaddy. I'm about to move to Rackspace as well and see if that helps. (Rackspace do not think so, but I'll do it anyway to clean things).

  If you have encountered similar problems with intermittent errors on specific sites, I would be extremely grateful for any advice / help.

  Thanks - but the problem now solved. It was question of Cache to our ISP server. They made some changes and the problem resolved.

• How can I access messages that came to my iPad but not my iPhone?

  My friend, who also uses an iPhone, sent several messages this evening.  I picked up my iPad and saw that there was a lot of posts on the lock screen, but I spent just the lock screen here as usual to use the iPad for the reason that I picked up.  Then I brought my iPhone and was surprised to see that there is NOT here messages.

  I have no Messages app on my iPad I see, and it is not available to install/open since the AppStore.  My iPhone is set to NOT use iMessage, which is I guess, how it happened... and I will soon turn off iMessage on my iPad to prevent it happening again (who knows how many times this has happened in the past!).

  Then. How can I see the missing messages?  My iPad message settings are to keep forever.

  The messages app is here. It cannot be deleted. You can search with Spotlight, or use the settings > General > reset > layout home page reset to reset icons to their default locations.

  I have two PCs connected via a Cat5 cable to a router Linkysys. A PC running Windows 7, the other XP SP3.  When transfer files from XP to W7 pc. I get 80 MB/s transfer speed.  However when W7 transfer to pc XP, transfer rate is about 1.5 MB/s.

  I did the following
  * netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel is disable.
  * Disable remote differential Compression.
  * Disabled remote assistance.
  * Disabled ipv6.

  And have run the W7 pc in safe mode.  No change.

• Connection Internet lost Windows 7, but not the network connection

  I have exactly the same problem as the first post, I have the connection to the internal network to other computers on the network, but not internet connection. This is not related to the download but happens every time at the beginning to the top. I can fix it by disabling the network card and the reactivation, (although the "Wizard" problem does not fix it) I have an internet connection for the rest of the session. It is certainly a problem of Windows 7 and not a hardware problem, it is a clean installation on an ex Vista machine that had no problem with an internet connection. The only programs I have installed are MS Security Essentials and Photoshop. I have read through the entire thread and tried many 'solutions', but none have worked (although I have yet to try the Adobe fix, I'll try it tonight). It is hard to believe that with so much affected that MS have not corrected it yet. I used Windows on different machines of 3 Windows Vista and never had this problem before.

  Because Windows 7 is a more recent version than most chipsets and drivers of several computers that are out there, it can be also some problems with the network card, or even the router.

  Learn more about the manufacturer of the network adapter (or chipset so it is on board) and download the latest Win 7 drivers possible.

  Update current drivers with the downloaded drivers.

  You can also try to assign the card with a static IP address that is out of reach DHCP IP from the router.

  Of size of drive running in something weird today where we noticed that via vCenter if we try to resize the hard disk of a computer virtual with XP as the guest operating system, is greyed out. With any other OS (vista, server 2003, win 2000 pro, win 7, Server 2008), we can resize the hard drive very well.

  Use the custom option instead of typical when you deploy XP guest.  In this way, you can choose which controller to use.  And to increase the space on the IDE XP guest, use VMware Converter.  And while you're there, step 3 change the controller type to SCSI LSI

  Sounds to me like your account is corrupted.  I make a new account, drag your files on another, and then remove the broken account.

  I use aurora on laptop and desktop computer and beta on both android.

  On the desktop, I can only see the tabs of the laptop and on the laptop, one office.

  In any case, I can't see two android tabs.

  Sync is ok because I can see desktop ones on the android but it is not as useful as it could be if I can't have all the tabs on each firefox, I can't read on my tablet or my office tabs previously open on the phone. I can see them in the history, though.

  Sync for Android is not yet synchronize your tabs from your phone to the cloud. (See the bug 730039 if you are interested).

  It is coming in a future version of Firefox.
