Hi George,.

You did changes to the computer before the show?

You will get this message if the computer is not turned off properly. Windows checks file C is nothing, but it checks errors on drive c.

Method 1
I suggest you to run the disk check.

Check your hard drive for errors
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

Note: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

Method 2
Step 1:
I suggest to start the computer in safe mode and check if the problem persists.

Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If everything works properly in mode without failure, then perform the clean boot and remove the program that is causing the problem.

-Were there any changes made to the computer before the show?

-What is the brand and model of your computer?

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

To help resolve the error message, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Black screen appears whenever I start the laptop.

Last week whenever I start up my Dell laptop computer, a black screen appears. I asked someone who knew with PC and he thought that it a defective power adapter. I tried to use it on just battery, no luck. At out the battery and the adapter just tried, without success. Adapter again sold, but I will assume that the adapter is not the issue.

Sometimes it lights for a few seconds, but the black screen appears quickly before you can do something like get online.

I held a flashlight the monitor and the screen is almost pure... If you look closely enough. Windows has loaded and you can see the wallpaper.

Does anyone has any idea what caused this and how to fix it. The laptop has been barely used... perhaps 6 months at the most.

Not sure if related but all updates are underway, antirvirus installed and running whenever the PC starts. Malware program executes and returns its own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if it's something I can fix myself.

    Hi Albert

You can try to reset as Winston has suggested that he will solve the problem. Before attempting to reset the PC, you can try refreshing the computer and check.

When you refresh PC applications provided with your PC or you installed from Windows Store will be reinstalled, but all the apps you have installed other Web sites and DVD is deleted. Windows puts a list of applications on your desktop after you refresh your PC.

  • Must restart the router wireless whenever I start my laptop Vista. __

I have a Dell Studio laptop 1735 under Windows Vista Premium, Service Pack 2. Last week, all of a sudden it will not identify the wireless network. It will show the connection to the local network, but not the Internet. It seems to be churning out, attempt to identify the network 'Public '.

I've updated the software Dell Wireless. My Windows updates are up to date.

I have a Windows 7 computer and a MacBook as well - both are very good. That is what it is?

    Hello

Turn the computer close to the wireless router to compensate for weak or blocked signals that could be part of the problem in the place of work more far.

    In the computer itself.

Check the Device Manager for the wireless card valid entry.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

Check network connections to make sure that you have a network icon/entry wireless connection, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

Make sure that if there is Wireless Utility a utility vendor is not running with the native Windows wireless utility.

Make sure you firewall No. preventing / blocks wireless components to join the network.

Above everything is OK and it connects to the wireless router. Log in from any computer which is, or can be connected to the router with a wire wireless, disable wireless security and try to connect with no. wireless security.
