  Restart the PC and try to install the updates again

  Click Start.

  Type regedit in the search field and press to enter.

  On the registry change windows click on file and select import.

  Navigate to the location where the fixme.reg file and select the file.

  Click ok on the windows screen once the registry is merged successfully.

  Restart computer and check if updates installs.

  If this does not help then try the following suggestion:
  Right click on command prompt and run as administrator. Type the following command:
  WinMgmt /verifyrepository
  If the system returns "referential WMI is not consistent", run this command:
  WinMgmt /salvagerepository
  The first time you run this operation fails. (It will assign orders to stop services leading to failure. "This may take a few minutes for the services to stop). Run the command again. You may in fact need to run 3 times before finally runs and ends on its own.
  Reboot your system.

• Windows Update issues. Windows Defender can't check definition error code 0 x 80242017 - after Re Installing Windows Vista updates. ?

  After reinstalling Windows, everything works fine until it fails to install and download updates.
  After that it automatically installs updates, it shows updates that failed, I try again but then it does not download or install updates everything at all!

  -J' have a lot of updates going back to years ago, it lists the Versions updated even with another publication date, what I need to download and install all?

  Decided to do a re-complete installation of Windows Vista on an old computer which was the minimal use (we tried to update every month)

  After reviewing the issue, put the computer into Normal mode.
  Uninstall or update the program that is causing the problem.

  My windows Defender does not work either I can enable my control panel. There is the message error code 8007007E. I have a Dell Studio 64-bit computer. Windows 7. How can I activate my windows Defender. My browsers are Firefox and IE. Thank you for your attention to this issue.

  You use AVG, McAfee, MSE or Norton antimalware?  If so, Windows Defender must be disabled on the Vista or Win 7 operating system and should be uninstalled on a Win XP OS.  If you try to activate Windows Defender and it has been disabled by one of these programs, this is what is causing your error code.

  I recently upgraded to Photoshop cc (2015) and Windows 10.  Now I get error messages - "the extension of com.adobe.preview.loader could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.

  When I try to open a dng file, it comes up with "could not complete your request because it is not the right type of doc.  Now I have "expansion of libraries could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  The program worked perfectly in the past.

  I contacted Support Adobe this morning, and they were able to solve the problem.  It was difficult.
