Windows disabled button shortcut

The "Windows key + W" shortcut to switch from one window to the other does not work on my computer (had my computer for more than two years and just discovered this utility)?  How can I activate this shortcut?  I noticed the Windows button + other keys activates some other shortcuts, but not this one.

Where have you seen this shortcut?

As far as I know Win-logo + tabs... show and scroll through the other windows.

It will be winner-logo + Alt + tabs...

CTRL + tabs... and allows to scroll the tabs open in one window.

  • Windows Explorer button disappeared?

I'm sure I've made some changes and now my Windows Explorer button is gone. I did reappear by going to all programs-accessories and right click Windows Explorer and chose "Pin to start menu. But is it the only way that it is displayed in the Start Menu? Is there somewhere else it displays down by & assistance, search, and run?

It seems normal. The only place in the start menu where the "Windows Explorer" shortcut is displayed by default is under [Start - Programs - Accessories]

And no, he does not appear in the menu on the right as you describe.

  • Windows Explorer button shows only libraries

A few days in a new pc with new to me Windows 7 and the Windows Explorer button suddenly only shows 'Libraries' records and files recently viewed. How do I show the full c: / drive once again, with my Photos, etc., and usb drive E when you use)?

    1. first of all, you will need to open Windows Explorer shortcut properties. If you want to change the folder target of the shortcut in Explorer Windows that is pinned to the taskbar in Windows 7, press the 'SHIFT' key and right-click on the icon in the taskbar. It will open the Windows XP/Vista old style context menu where you should select the option "Properties".

Alternatively, you can right-click on the icon that will show the jumplist. Now, even once with the right button on the entry of "Windows Explorer" presents in the jumplist and select the properties option:

For the other shortcuts in Windows Explorer as a shortcut in all programs menu or in the office, you do not have to press the SHIFT key. Just right click on the shortcut and select Properties.

2 once you open the properties of the shortcut, you will see %windir%\explorer.exe written text in the targettext box. You just need to change this text string to customize the destination for the Windows Explorer shortcut folder.

To open the my computer when you click on the Windows Explorer shortcut, just add an blank space, and double quotes ("'") at the end of the text in the text box target as shown in the following screenshot:

If the entire text string would become %windir%\explorer.exe ""

That's all. Now whenever you click on the Windows Explorer shortcut, it will open the my computer window instead of displaying the default libraries.

3 if you want to set the target to a drive or folder, do not add double quotes. Just add the path to the end. By example, if you want to open the C: drive on the target%windir%\explorer.exe C: text string or if you want to open a folder e.g. D:\Setup, then set the text string target on %windir%\explorer.exe D:\Setup

You can see its very simple and easy to change the shortcut to Windows Explorer startup folder in Windows 7.

NOTE: You can also use environment variables to change the folder target to the Documents folder, profile folder, etc. You can get the complete list of all the variables of environment here.

PS: If you want to restore the functionality of Windows Explorer shortcut and want to open libraries once again, simply remove newly added text in the target text box strings and assign %windir%\explorer.exe again.

  • Disable the shortcut of layers of Cycle?

I have been using Photoshop for a while now with my Wacom Intuos 5 and ask If there is a way to disable the shortcut for the layers of cycling (Opt + []).

I have my pen put in place for where the front button Opt for quick color sampling and I use the express wheel on my Intuos to change the brush size, while the painting/drawing and the layers will be turn on me frequently by accidental overlap.  I checked the shortcuts in the Edit menu and I couldn't find a way to change this.  He learned to be quite annoying to find that I've been drawing/painting on a layer, I wanted to preserve and also was hinder my workflow as a barrier more than to be a shortcut.  I would be grateful if someone had a solution to this problem, and thank you for taking the time to help!

    Mac OS Yosemite

    Photoshop 2015.5 CC

    5 small Intuos

Well well, not inside Photoshop, but if you go to Apple System Preferences > keyboard > tab shortcuts, you can assign Opt [and] some functions in OSX will not get in the way which will be "trap" the shortcut, PS prevents using it.

  • Disable keyboard shortcuts in Flash CC

Looking at past discussions, it seems that Flash users were once able to disable keyboard shortcuts in the Flash Player window when testing their programs.  This option seems to have disappeared in Flash CC (or hid himself very well).  This is problematic for me because I am relying on the keys to dictate what executives goes to my program, but cannot test to see if things are working properly without first disabling the shortcuts in Flash player.  Does anyone know a solution to this problem?

The only thing I can recommend is to use an earlier version of Flash, such as CS6.  I am unable to find anything in the way of one solution other than that.

  • How can question on the keyboard, I disable a shortcut?

Hello everyone, I've had my laptop for a few weeks now and I've adjusted to the smaller keyboard, but there must be built shortcut keys in cause my cursor ends upwards in all directions when I type (I must be hitting a key somewhere with my hand). I always return the cursor to the 'end' so I can continue with what I type. This happens ALL THE TIME! I'm a fast typer duty stop frequently and edit leads me into the wall.

Is there a way I can disable the shortcuts? I have found information anywhere hvent. It is not the hotkey function.

Or maybe I have a defective keyboard? Is there a setting I can adjust so sthe keyboard is not so sensitive to the touch? My nails are long enough so can be inadvertently touching another key.

    see you soon,

  • What do you do when windows and buttons is gray out?

Hi, my name is Rhionna and I have a problem on my Windows XP Service pack 3. Well, last night, I scanned my PC for registry errors there were some and I fixed them, but now I can not apply visual styles. Windows and buttons in properties is grey outside, it wasn't before but today I went to a link to a website to try to repair the files in my theme after that, it was gray would be out so what do I do? :(

Registry cleaners are dangerous programs.  I do not recommend their use for these sorts of reasons.  Your best bet at the moment is to restore your registry to a time before you had this problem using "System Restore".  One of these two methods, you should get going again.

If you cannot start the program of the above procedure, or if it fails to restore, then try this:

  • Disable keyboard shortcuts?

Hi, I just bought a new laptop from Dell with Vista and I am very bored of all the keyboard shortcuts that appear constantly as I type... even if I do not seem to be hitting the shortcut keys.  I know it is a new keyboard that I need to get used to, and it can be very sensitive, but is there a way to disable the keyboard shortcuts?  I can find lots of information about the shortcuts available, but nothing seems to explain how you can disable these shortcuts "useful."
    Thank you!

    Hello, Marc

Are you referring to accessibility shortcuts?

If Yes, you can disable these by going to start, Control Panel, accessibility, ease of access Center, click on create easier to use keyboard and click on configure to disable the keyboard shortcut.

    I hope this helps.
