Windows Disk Utilization rule

I want to exclude two servers of our rule of Disk_Utilization of windows. That's what I

Windows_System_Physical_Disk_Table where monitoredHost.name! = «xxx.fhlb.com, xxx.fhlb.com»

When I validate cela two servers, I do not want to include are in the list are here. How would I do multiple server names in this rule?

Thank you

Try this example but adjust it for your rule:

HostCPUs is $host.name not in {"testhost',"minint-hi87m9s"}

I put t know what laptop you have, but I guess that your laptop was equipped with HARD drive recovery.
This allows you to recover the laptop without using any disk recovery.

Of course, there is an option to create an own recovery DVDs. You read operating instructions!

From my experience, you could use the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

Yes, you need a Windows install disc. However, there may be a way to restore from the image of the system of the other computer you have, that you say is the same. I'll get back to you on how to do it later.

You can also use the restore disc, you created from this computer.  If it is exactly the same.  I'm not sure of the legality of it, but...

  • How can I do to repair Windows Vista if I don't have a disk drive & asks me to insert the Windows disk and select Repair.

I have a netbook with no disk drive that is running Windows Vista.  When I try to turn it on, it tells me that a file is missing or damaged and that I have to install my Windows disk and select repair.  Seeing that I don't have a hard drive on my computer, How can I do to repair vista windows?

    Hello

Netbooks have the option to reinstall the operating system to when it was new.

They have a recovery Partition on their hard drives the same as most laptops and desktops...

You should ask the Netbook Manufactuter for particular key sequence to begin a recovery.

Some manufacturer's instructions are to press F10 or F11 at startup; others are Alt + F10, etc..

The installed software doesn't have knowledge written in programming to realize that you have a Netbook and you are unable to insert the disc. That's the way it is written, unfortunately: one size.

And some more expensive Netbooks now have a DVD player.

  • Need to recover a file deleted by Windows Disk Protection

Yesterday, I created an important file on a computer that has Windows Disk Protection enabled on drive C: (I wasn't aware of this). The computer, and then deleted everything is new on the C: drive, as well as my file. Since then, the computer has been restarted several times and I think that Windows Disk Protection was turned off to install a program, then turned back on, then the cache file has been removed.

I know it's probably a plight, but is it possible to retrieve the file?

First make sure you recycle bin to see if it is there - if so just restore and you're in business.

If you have Vista Business, Vista Ultimate or Vista Enterprise, you can be lucky.  They have so-called saves shadow copies, which are deleted or modified files that can be recovered in case changes/deletions made by mistake.  http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Windows-Vista/features/shadow-copy.aspx more information about how to use this feature to: http://blogs.techrepublic.com.com/howdoi/?p=145.

If you have Vista Basic or Premium of Vista, shadow copies is not available; However, there is an alternative that is free and the shadow copies feature called Shadow Explorer. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/recover-files-with-shadow-copies-on-any-version-of-windows-vista/.  Although it will not help you this time, it could very well save you in case this happens again.

In case this does not work (not all files are available through shadow - it occurs periodically), here are some additional free recovery programs that might help:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/freeware/system/fwdatarecovery.html (first try Recuva)

http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/DiskDigger.html (try this second - if this does not work the chances of recovery are very slim, but you can try other products if you want - it is up to you)

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/easusdfr.html

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/restoration.html

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/downloads/Recuva/dlrecuva.html

    http://www.SoftPerfect.com/products/FileRecovery/

    http://techpaul.WordPress.com/2008/06/23/how-to-recover-your-lost-files/

The files are not really deleted until they are crushed (although they are no longer available through conventional methods).  If you decide to try these recovery programs, you should stop using your drive hard immediately in order not to replace the data that you are trying to recover.  He slave on another PC and launch the recovery of this PC.  Even now you have definitely lost some of them if you use the same PC.  If you can not do this (slave on another PC), you run the risk of overwriting the data with every action you do on the PC (but you may still be able to recover some or most or even all files - it's a matter of luck).

Only you can decide if the data is important enough to take the PC to an expert data recovery to recover files (they will have better programs and hardware to do that none of us do, and I've provided above).  Do NOT go to the Geek Squad or one of these centers of store-, they generally don't know what they are doing - it take for expert data recovery.  It will cost you a little and they generally offer no guarantees.  The decision is yours.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  • extract the windows disk drivers for use in 10 windows 7

I would like to extract generic epson printer to my windows disk drivers for use in 10 windows 7. I've seen a web page that tells how to a disk of vista, but the directory and the file structure is completely different on the disc of windows 7.  A search at random through the disc gave no results.  One of you have directions on how to do it?

How did the 24-pin generic Epson driver described in the list of Windows 7?

I do not see a pilot "generic 24 pin" in the list of Epson drivers on my Windows 7 system, but I don't see a driver for the GENERAL-3500 Epson ESC/P 2 ver 2.0.  The GENERAL-3500 is a flatbed printer 24 pin.  Is this the driver you used?

I ask because this driver - considered to be for "Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and later" - is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions in the Microsoft Update Catalog-->

    Hello

1 were you running the scan of auditor of file system as an administrator?

    2. you have any security program installed on the computer?

3 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

    Method 1:

I suggest to perform the disk check and check.

    a. click on Start
    b. type cmd in the start search box
    c. right-click on cmd.exe in the list programs and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted to provide a
Administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click continue
    d. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk/r X:

Note: in this command, X: is a placeholder that represents the drive letter of the volume you want to check.

    a. press y when you are prompted to check the drive the next time the system restarts.
    b. close all applications and restart the computer.

After the computer restarts, repeat steps a through d for the other volume and then check if the disk cleanup works.

Important: When running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found, all available on which data may be lost

    See also:

    Check a drive for errors

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/check-a-drive-for-errors

You can also try to run the analysis of auditor of files system in administrator mode.

    Method 2:

You can also perform a full virus scan by using the Microsoft Safety Scanner and check.

I suggest you to perform an analysis of your computer online by visiting the link below:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

Note: there is a risk of data loss if all the files are infected and which can be removed in the cleaning process.

Hope this helps and keep us posted.

  • How to boot from a virtual Windows disk - 10 Workstation - TPG

I am trying to boot from a virtual gpt, with windows disk 8 inside. The host is windows 7.

    I have a paragon image 12 a MS Surface Pro - Windows 8 pro.

I have a virtual machine Windows 8 pro machine, where I created a second virtual disk, and then I imported the image of paragon in this disc. Partitions have been successfully created and virtual disk is correctly mounted and recognized. Then I attributed to this second disk LUN 0,0 and I added the line "firmware ="efi""in the configuration file." But I get: "the operating system not found '.

Because this could be a common situation, I'd appreciate the help.

    Thanks in advance.

You must assign manually, no support for VMware Workstation, firmware = "efi" option in the .vmx virtual machine configuration file.

  • How to align mailbox Windows disks/disk vmdk files

    Hello

I currently have a server with 20 virtual drives spread between 4 SCSI controllers.   The controller has 5 virtual disks assigned to it.  I would like to find a way that we can align 20 virtual disks in VM settings for 20 labeled Windows disks.  I know that you can watch channel SCSI controller so 0.1, 0.2 and align the 2nd digit with the target ID in the properties of the Windows disk, but Windows does not specify the number of buses so when the disks are the same size its impossible to verify if it is the drive or not.

I tried a number of scripts provided here:

    http://communities.VMware.com/message/1120303

But failed to obtain a final solution which will be in line to the top of our hard drive listed in the settings of the VM to the inclusion of WIndows disk

My observation is this location SCSI Id 0 is always 160.le the same for the controller SCSI 1,2,3 is 192, 224 256 respectively. As we reached maximum virtual no more scsi controller scsi can be added to a virtual machine and where it should be in the order. I watch non - r2 2008 VM, 2003 and get back to you if I find any solution.

In my test VM below is the result.

    Vmware                                       |     Windows

    ======                                             =======

Hard drive SCSI ID |    Target location Bus number Windows Windows ID

    Hard drive 1 0:0 |               160                             0               0

    Hard drive 2 0:1 |               160                             0               1

    Hard disk 3 1:0 |               192                             1               0

    Hard drive 4 2:0 |               224                             2               0

    Hard drive 5 3:0 |               256                             3               0

If found it useful please add points.

    Thank you best regards &,.
