Windows does not start. To get the message of partition\windows of rdisk.

Original title: cannot start Windows XP

Hi there everyone,

The other day I uninstalled a few items that were cluttering up my old Dell Inspiron 6000 (Norton, Nero, etc.).
When I restarted the computer, it brings me to a screen that provides options
-Safe Mode
-Safe Mode w / command prompt
-Safe Mode w / networking
-Last known good Config
-Start Windows normally
No matter which I choose, the computer crashes.
If I take all the options mode without failure of the text appears below in regards to the multi discs rdisk partition\windows... and then a few .dll, .nls and .sys files.
I tried to boot from a backup disk, but does not (I changed the BIOS settings to boot from the disc), but it always brings me to the command prompt and nothing works from there. I wonder if the startup disk is funked up? I have XP on a desktop home computer so maybe I should do another startup disc and try again?
I tried to work my way through some of the KB articles on the site (via the command prompt sys restore failed).
I hope I've provided enough information and I would be very grateful of any help.
Thank you
GM

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

xp_rec_con. ISO

Download the ISO from here:

http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

http://www.ImgBurn.com/

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

    1. don't you also get an error with the message code?
2 have you installed third-party readers part?
    3. What is the format of the files you are trying to play?

Follow these steps and check if they help.

    Step 1:

I would have you readers of third party temporarily Uninstall and check if persists it to the question.

    Step 2:

Most likely you need codecs to play these files with Windows Media Player. I suggest looking up codec in the Internet that supports the file format, download and install them.

After the installation of Windows 'important' 3 updates my screensaver started does not. I get a message that says:

This application has failed to start because MSVCR100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

    Help, please. Thank you.

    Hello

It didn't reinstall the ATL update, it reinstalled 2005 Redistributable. So now, I have 2005 and 2010 x 86 both. And it says that two dates installiation are two days after I installed the 2010. I know 2005 and the update was uninstalled, because I checked after restart the computer and before you install the 2010 version. Very curious.

But my Screensaver works and access to the camera seemed to work after uninstalling / reinstalling the software. So, good. Thank you.

You can get the Chkdsk to run in the General Windows interface by following these instructions?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right click on your drive icon / properties / tools / error checking. Try first by checking do not each box (that it will run in read-only mode) to see if it reports any problems file or hard drive. If so, restart it by checking both boxes and restart to allow him to attempt to fix any problems found.

Go to your retail store, they should have the disk recovery for you or you need to go to your manufacturer directly because the manufacturer is best qualified to support the software that the manufacturer has installed on the hardware, provide your serial number and order the CD on their part. I bet they arrange an expedition to the France and tax treatment for it, but should not be too much.

Note: The manufacturer was required to provide a way to reinstall Windows. If it is not a set of disks with the computer, there will be a hidden restore partition (do not be confused with the system restore), you would use to return the computer to the State of the OOBE (Out of Box Experience).

    Thank you

Given that the request was made when Windows XP was again, you can try running the application in compatibility mode. You can check the link for more information for more information:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/make-older-programs-run#1TC=Windows-7

If that does not work, chances are the application depends on some legacy components of Windows XP, which are missing in Windows 7. Therefore, check with the developer to get a version compatible with Windows 7.

  • My copy registered and checked for XP Pro SP3 does not start after changing the motherboard. Second problem is that I can't find my original install of XP Pro disc.

After failing to find the source of reliable performance from my PC, I decided to bite the bullet and replace the motherboard, memory and the CPU. I installed a triple base 435 Athlon and a motherboard Gigabyte MA74GMT. Awarded PC again started the first time - but Windows will not, I get a number of options but none work - safe mode brings up several lines of messages on the partition of multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0).

A previous post suggested that a similar message meant some kind of malware but if I replace the old motherboard, processor and memory Windows works very well - in fact I use it now.

Do I have an option but to reinstall Windows from a CD? Otherwise I have a problem - I can't find the installation discs for each piece of software except my Windows XP Pro! I do repair discs?

  • My Mac mini end of 2012 does not start: stuck at the total black screen

    Thus,.

I tried to install Windows 8 with bootcamp using a USB key. It did not work ("" can not do a new partition on this disk or some * like that "") but this, I'm sure that has not affected my install OS X, I've never been format the Bootcamp partition.

So, I leave the Windows installation program, reboot and remove the USB key. Now, I get the black screen that OSX shows when it has no OS, giving me the impression that he wiped / corrupted installation.

    Very well...

But there is a twist. I can not hold option to join the boot device selector, nor can I press CMD + R or retrieve internet. Metal target does not work. I have reset the NVRAM successfully a few times, but it start always black.

EDIT: and I reset the SMC EDIT 2: I know also that this probably isn't a hardware problem, I am positive my OS X install and the OS X recovery partition are corrupt. I don't understand why I can't hold option, and I don't understand why the recovery of the internet does not work when you have no recovery partition. I would be grateful if I could start anything, without having to open my Mac.

    Hi all

    Database: Oracle 10.2.0.4
    AIX 5.3 TL 10 OS

I am facing a problem with the Non-RAC/Clusterware CSSD.

When we restarted the CSSD service server does not start automatically, and there is no relevant messages in the log files of the CSSD.

Run 'localconfig reset $ORACLE_HOME', to run but does not start the CSSD.

Running 'start /etc/init.cssd' - does not work, nothing happens when you throw

I manually ran "file/etc / init.cssd to run" and the start of the CSSD (ossd.bin) service without errors.

No error on errpt in AIX.

I opened a SR, but I'm waiting for response from the Oracle.

    Hello

I think that this problem is not with Oracle, but in AIX.

It may be that a process that starts at the start is the other process. You need to identify what application/process.

Check the process in inittab who are already active and which are inactive, they must be active.

A clue: is very common process that is launched in standby mode keep the boot server.

    wait
When the init command enters the run level that matches the entry's run level,
start the process and wait for its termination.
All subsequent reads of the /etc/inittab file while the init
command is in the same run level will cause the init command to ignore this entry.

  • Satellite A210-199 does not start successfully after the BIOS update

    Hello

    I've got Sat A210-199.
Yesterday I updated the BIOS, and after that problems occurred:

While restarting my computer does not start. When I enter the BIOS after a while, it shuts down.
I guess all this because the temperature of the CPU:

    When I do nothing it is 77 C. I don't think it's normal: (.)
Computer is very recent, so it's probably not dust inside. And it's so hot from the start, but after the new BIOS, something bad happens.

Why this temp is so high?
There is no any process background or something.
    Is this normal?
And what about this new BIOS?

To be honest, something like this should not happen. I really don't understand why this is happening. I have updated the BIOS on friends A200 and mine P200 and everything works fine. Here on this forum we can only speculate on this issue, but what you need exactly's professional opinion.

This probably not help but install recovery image and check with the factory settings. Make sure you also on the lower side cooling fan is not blocked and the laptop can be cooled properly. If the problem persists, you should contact the nearest authorized maintainer and clarify this issue.

Sorry, but I don't really know what you can do in this situation. I don't see any other way to solve this problem.

    Good luck!
