Windows DVDMaker did not audio product!

I have a movie that is made up of 5 segments - each segment is a file MPG about 1 GB (32 minutes), with the last one about 370 MB (22 minutes).  Alone, these 5 files will play perfectly on my PC using Windows media player - or any other player (I have other 3: PowerDVD, CyberDVD, and?).  No problems.

I then ran Windows DVD Maker to create a DVD disc of film-like that I can give to someone and play on a standard DVD player connected to a TV.  I dragged the 5 files sequentially in the creation of Windows DVD window, changed the title game, Notes, Slow speed, unchecked the AVI filter option and inserted a blank disc DVD + R (4.7 GB) standard in my DVD drive to burn DVD burning.

The fire proceeded without errors, and the DVD resulting is perfect in all aspects of the video when I played it on a dDVD player connected to a TV.  But only the first segment (the first of the 5 MPG files) had audio.  When the film continues automatically play the next in the sequence segment, the video came out fine and perfect, but all audio data was gone.

I took a quick look inside the temporary folder (... \Transcodes\...) that Windows DVD maker used to make transcoding - and verified that indeed than the first MPG file/folder was created _AC3 (for audio) file.  The 4 other MPG files/folders didn't.

WHY Windows DVD Maker do this?  Tips, advice or direct solutions/explanations would be very appreciated.

Thanking you in advance,

PS - I am running Windows 7 Home Premium Edition (64-bit) with SP1 and all the latest Windows updates (18-Sep-2013)

Were all the. MPG from the same source files.

Of the. MPG files been edited in some way?

You mentioned AVI filters... you try to uncheck all filters?

It may be worth trying to convert MPG files to the. WMV

Since neither updates Jan - 10 have installed, I'm going to hand you Support MS in the hope that they can resolve the problem. See below.

That being said, is an interpretation of the 80070017 - cyclic redundancy check error "a device attached to the system does not work," which suggests that a hardware problem might be the cause of the error (although I must say that it is a very low possibility in this case).

    Good luck!

When you run slui.exe I get error code 0 x 80070424 - Activation of Windows / status: not available - product ID: not available... laptop comes with Windows 7 Pro pre-ionstalled... any help?

    On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core, run ' slui.exe 0x2a 0 x 80070424' to display the error text. "
    Error: 0 x 80070424
looks like a problem of registry cleaner. See this response from Christmas D Paton:
  • Windows backup did not complete successfully.

My backups attempts continue to fail with "Windows backup has not completely managed" and when I click on the 'Options' button, it gives me the details of why and wrote "the disk where your backups are saved doesn't have enough free space.

That is TOTALLY INCORRECT (it is a 1 TB 1000 GB hard drive) and my Windows 7 disc has only about 500 GB on it).

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed (a clean install, not upgrade). I'm looking to back up from my boot drive (it's a multiboot machine, this time Vista Ultimate 64 on drive C: and Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit on drive E :).) I have three other drives in this workstation HP xw 8200, two of them are used for backups, that is, "backups (Vista) (d)" and "backups (Windows 7) (f). All discs are 1 TB disks.

Okay, I realize NOW, the problem is that in Windows 7, when I use the default settings for backup, the utility is trying to establish an Image of TIMES my disk of Vista (c) system and the Windows disk (E :), which of course well exceeds the space that I have on my unique physical backup disk.) I realized this after I chose the option to just an image of the system and it shows the selected physical disks (C: and E :) with NO WAY to deselect the C: Vista drive even if I booted from a disk system/physical separate (Windows 7). This seems to be a very poor interface or inconsistent WRT backup under Windows 7. Vista Ultimate UI for backup did NOT have this behavior (i.e., it ONLY allows me to make an image of the C: drive system, for example, my Vista drive when I boot on Vista).

  • my windows 8 did not create a recovery point

After a 10 hour by my provider, my windows recovery 8 did not create a recovery point for each program or windows update. At present, the protection system is activated, I manually set a daily restore point. Task Scheduler is empty. Can anyone help? I dare not to update the bios or drivers. Thank you

Try to turn system protection off and turn it back on.  It should create all the necessary tasks and enable services.

This makes me wonder if there is something...

However, before we address that, please try this...

This can result from the setting by mistake the folder Windows and its contents to "read only".
    status.

    Open Windows Explorer (computer)

    Navigate to the folder C:\

Find the Windows folder and right click on it

    Select Properties

Clear the "blob" in box "read-only (applies only to files in the folder)" by clicking on it until it is white.

    Click on apply.

Make sure the radio button for "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" is defined, and then click OK.

Accept the administrator command prompt. After a few seconds, you will be told there is an error - click on the button "ignore all".

Wait for it to finish - it might take a few minutes.

Once completed, the "blob" will reappear. This is normal, and you can ignore it

Out OK and exit Windows Explorer.

    Reboot twice

They are your remaining options to reinstall.

You can also contact HP and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.

If this happens, you may need to try this instead:

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.

Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.

And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

"How to do a clean install and configure with a full Version of Vista."

    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/117366-clean-install-full-version-Vista.html

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.

And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

  • Why windows backup did not restore all my files?

He was set to back up all the files (documents, music, photos, etc.), but I restored my latest backup of the system and it seems to have restored some valuable files that I thought it was supposed to be back up.

Somewhat confusingly, I have a folder containing many shortcuts to some of the files that are apparently not here, but can open the destination via the shortcut folder although it don't or unable to display the folder in Windows Explorer.

Any help to work out what is going on would be greatly appreciated!
    Matt.

Display the hidden files and folders. If no go, sfc scan. They should bail out you.
