Windows error install 1601

windows package install error 1601. Can anyone help? I tried everything to fix this. Thank you

Hello

This is probably an easy fix. Mistakes in installation and in particular the error 1601 windows install package often occur the firewall or virus scanner blocking the installation package. Go ahead and try to disable antivirus and firewall, try to install it and see if that fixes the problem. Worth and probably it will fix. Hope this helps,

  • Windows errors install 1722,1723 when trying to install java__

trying to install java if mistakes 1722,1723 not not what to do

    Hi Todd Cober

You have the compatible Java downloaded to your system? Please check. If Yes, then try to fix problems of Windows Installer.

    Follow these steps:

Step 1: To reinstall the latest version of Windows Installer, follow these steps:

-Go to control panel and click on Administrative Tools, then double-click computer management.
-Develop the Services & Applications menu item.
    -Double-click on Services.
-Double-click on Windows Installer and stop the service.
    -Launch regedit from run.
    -Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer.
    -Select the subkey MSIServer.
-Remove the value of this key.

    -Now, restart the Service.

We need to install the latest version of Windows Installer that is 4.5.

NOTE: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

KB322756 How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

    Step 2:

Install Java. You can either try the latest version: Java SE downloads

Or try this older version, if it does not work: Archive: download Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) 5.0 Update 11

Regardless of the version of Java you are using, download Setup JRE offline and delete other versions of Java before installing this new.

After back and let us know if it helped to solve your problem.
