Windows Experience Index score is low... much lower than I think it should be :/

Hi guys and girls (maybe not so many girls so: P)

I built my PC around July 2014 and even if I don't use all of the resources I have to my advantage, I intend to use its FULL potential in time to come...

I built it to do programming, games and Visual editing (in the future) and design.

I've ALWAYS wanted a liquid cooling and they make it so easy to install, configure and set, not to mention affordable that I went for it...

I bought the main in order to comply with the new processor "Broadwell" card soon, so I opted for an i5k in the meantime...

I tweaked and tested (VERY careful I might add) CPU clocks, clocks (voltage Inc.) of memory and GPU clocks (Graphics), BUT...

I can't get the partition Win Exp Index to 7.9, which I think is unfair! :. (

I run 3 x 120 mm cooling fans & 1 large liquid CPU cooler cooling to between 1000 to 1500 rpm continuously (gears arranged by fan to create "Forced Induction", to the CPU and the GPU. Thus the two almost never slowed down more than 28' C.

I have overclocked the processor to 4.5 GHz (Stress tested for an hour and NEVER saw a 55' C). He had @ 4 GHz before so that the cooling fans quieter, but I play with time clocks and the Exp Score win is like a splinter. I can safely 4.6 GHZ clock, but fans fluctuate a little to much for my taste.

.. then why is my Win Index Score 7.7?

The score does not change after the settings (clock speed, fan speed)...

I have overclocked GPU 'Gigabyte GeForce 750Ti OC Version' 1072 (base) 1150 (BOOST) MHz and 2000 RPM @ idle fans. -Without changing partition :(

I have overclocked memory to 1800 MHz @ 1.62V, which increased the partition Win Index of 7.7 to 7.9 (didn't want to OC it, is fine for my use at the time, but I want to score!)

Windows really calculate the speed of the CPU, or should I just use the basic CPU specifications?

On the GPU, it's the "Maxwell" card more slow (to my knowledge), but I have overclocked it to Win Index partition...

I ran "Catzilla" and the GPU score a 100% before the overclock, the CPU score is 90% @ 4 GHz and "IS" 100% currently to 4.5 GHz.

Hope you can give me a nice thorough answer on the measurement taken by Win Exp Index procedures.

And when the "Broadwell" CPU is loose, I will receive the same score when I buy the specification "i5 k?

Have a good day and thank you in advance :D

There is absolutely nothing wrong with these numbers even if they were representative of the actual performance.

As Zig - Zag has already said, they are a GUIDE and a guide is not particularly accurate at this. If your computer's performance are good, and I suspect it is, continue to use it and stop worrying about WEI... :-)

I'm a computer technician at the Brazil. I noticed that a few old machines, certain factors, have better performance than current. The difference is not visible in the points leader, but in use. Open programs or install a LOT more quickly. When this happened, the performance index, marks high score for HD as 7.3 for common HDD Samsung F3 (different from normal 5.9). Stroller?
    Anyone know anything about this?

    Examples:

    RAM: 2 x 2 GB Kingston DDR3 1333 Mhz

The first machine, "slower" than the second victory of common (open, install, manipulate programs, etc.). In the benchmarks, the second victory. Together with the operating system Windows 7 Professional 64-bit with updated drivers.

    Hello VbCrayon,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Score index performance Windows (WEI) rates your computer on the five main elements, giving you a number for each. Your base score overall, the one that really counts, is as good as your worst performing component. If your video card and monitor are top of the range, but the capabilities of your processor or memory trolling, the primary partition of WEI will be the same as that obtained by the
    slower part.

This may not seem fair. But for the average PC user, a low or intermediate Windows experience index score is very good. Your computer will be powerful enough to run the popular Microsoft Office programs (such as Microsoft Word), surf the Internet, store and edit photos, and communicate via a webcam.

Windows Experience Index measures the capability of the hardware and software of your computer configuration and expresses this measurement as a number called a base score. A higher base score means that your computer will perform better and faster than a computer with a score of lower base, especially when more advanced and resource-intensive tasks running.

Each hardware component receives an individual under-score. Your computer
base score is determined by the lowest subscore.

    Hello

Once your graphics hardware has later graphics drivers installed or Web site of the manufacturer of the computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card, that's all.

The only way to improve the graphical result is to buy and install a better graphics card.

Don't worry too much about what says the Windows experience index.

    You have no graphic problem?

Therefore, there is no need to worry about this.

    See you soon.

  • Tecra A10-112 - Windows Experience Index 3.4?

The WEI score is 3.4 with all default settings. The details are the following:

    Processor: 5.4
    Memory: 5.1
    Graphics (office performance): 3.4
    Games graphics: 3.6
    Hard drive: 5.2

I know that the integrated graphics card isn't help the score in any way. Toshiba A300D-15 b with AMD CPU 2.1 scores 4.8 which has a graphics card dedicated.

Do not play games, but the disappointing thing is that the performance of office are less than the score of the game.

Now the question is do I seriously take WEI or the integrated graphics (Intel GMA 4500MHD) is quite good for the time being and for Windows 7?

Please take into account the fact that A10 - 112 has a resolution of 1680 x 1050 and I think to the graphics card integrated is no match for this resolution in particular with Vista, what you think?

    Hello

To be honest I think nothing of it. The Windows experience index is ok, but in my opinion it s not really significant.

    But some values are interesting;
As much as I know graphics performance score Office represents s graphic performance of the system using the Windows Aero Desktop feature. As you've experienced the Aero needs a lot of graphical resources and in my opinion, this value is lower.

But generally the Mobile Intel GMA 4500MHD isn't bad.
Graphics memory (performance) can increase the upgrade of the main RAM.
Thus, for example Vista 32 bit OS:

    RAM 1 GB - dedicated video memory = 64 MB - system memory shared = 158MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 286MB
    2 GB RAM - dedicated video memory = 128 MB - = 702MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 830MB shared system memory
RAM 3 GB - dedicated video memory = 128 MB - = 1214 MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 1342 MB shared system memory
4 GB RAM - dedicated video memory = 128 MB - = 1214 MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 1342 MB shared system memory

    Vista 64-bit OS:
    RAM 1 GB - dedicated video memory = 64 MB - system memory shared = 158MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 286MB
    2 GB RAM - dedicated video memory = 128 MB - = 702MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 830MB shared system memory
RAM 3 GB - dedicated video memory = 128 MB - = 1214 MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 1342 MB shared system memory
4 GB RAM - dedicated video memory = 128 MB - = 1631 MB - TOTAL graphic memory available = 1759 MB shared system memory

  • In Windows experience Index of my computer's processor performance are increased from 5.8 to 4.7.How can I increase this?

This Windows experience index per second processor calculations

1 don't get too concerned about the experience index itself, the methods used to determine these scores is rather crude and produce no good empirical results and should be used only as a general guide.

Also, the algorithms used are sometimes modified to allow changes in the technology available so can produce slightly different results from a previous run.

Finally even if the utility is supposed to be able to compensate for other tasks, so it can be influenced by other processor loads may produce lower figures. Make sure the system is in the same State when comparisons.

Processor performance has limited options to improve. Have you ridden any new memory since the last test?

  • Change of the Windows experience index

Hi there, my Pc has pre installed Windows 7 installed. Now, one day when I play VICE CITY. My computer is same trolling even if I play in this situation of delay, it will stop. Because of that I got my PC Factory Condition but still the game is late and now side processor pc has changed in windows Experience Index. I don't change any parts of my pc, I don't understand why games are late. A few times, my side of processor decreases in windows experience and sometimes to normal side index. Can someone explain me what is the cause of this problem? However, there is no 100% malware. Only the processor rating evolving performance remaining all index are constant. It evolves 6.0 5.0 or 4.5 and sometimes go back to 6.0. My processor is Intel I3 - 2330M which has no turbo boost option

    Hi root,

    • The problem is specific to this game?

'Delay' is a phenomenon in the computer game that appears when there is a delay between entering commands on a keyboard or a controller and seeing that the command has acted on the screen. For example, in "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" for the PC, shift may occur when you press the button 'Next', but your character is not actually start moving until a few moments later.

Make sure to install the latest version of the game, or sometimes, there might be a patch released by the game manufacturer.

The offset can be from a setting that is not compatible with your computer. For example, open the "Screen Resolution" menu and set the screen resolution of the game for a lower than setting that it is currently set to. Check if that helps.

    Thank you.

My pc is not yet rated. When I click on rate appears on this computer, a msg error saying that Windows Experience Index for your system could not be calculated, could not measure the PERFORMANCE of VIDEO PLAYBACK. What should I do. Help, please

    Hello

Here are a few things to check before launching performance index Windows (WEI).

    • Quit all running programs, and restart the computer before running the assessment (WEI).
    • Check with the manufacturer of the computer or the motherboard manufacturer for BIOS updates.
    • Make sure you have the latest Windows 7 compatible drivers for the graphics device installed (video card).
    • If you have any third-party media players installed, uninstall them until the end of the evaluation of the WEI.
    • If you have installed any third-party Media Codecs, try to uninstall them until the end of the evaluation of the WEI.

Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder C:\WINDOWS\Performance\WinSAT .

You should see the following 8 videos.

    2 files with .mp4 extension.

3 files with the .mpg file extension.

3 files with .wmv file extension.

Double-click each of these files. They should open and play in Windows Media Player. These are the files that WEI runs video performance.

One thing to remember is that the WEI score is only an indicator of the ability of the main components of hardware on the computer. It has no effect on the performance of the system.

    PA bear,

    Thanks for all the help.

I decided to just leave things they way they are.

Almost everything works perfectly on my computer now.

And I learned that too much intervention can cause more problems.

To devote more time to it is not a good use of my time or yours.

I can't justify to devote more time to this.

It would be preferable for you to spent time with someone who has a real problem.

I can easily run WEI with a command prompt, it is therefore essential to set of WEI.

    Thanks again.
