Often, a certain instability in Windows Explorer is due to the defective shell extensions and addons.Consider using Sysinternals Autoruns or ShellExView. Disable Add-ons and non Microsoft shell extensions and verify the behavior. If he went, reactivate the disabled extensions/add-ons, one at a time and see if you can identify who may be liable.Try a clean boot, or boot into safe mode. The behavior persists? If you continue to experience the problem, consider creating the hierarchy of following registry keys in the registry:HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Windows error Reporting\LocalDumps\explorer.exe\In the explorer.exe key, create a REG_EXPAND_SZ value named DumpFolder and set the value to%systemdrive%\localdumpsdata. Ensure that the %systemdrive%\localdumps file exists, and then cause the crash to happen. It must be a dump file in %systemdrive%\localdumps. Download the dump on your SkyDrivefile.(Letter is an environment variable that represents the system drive, usually C:.) -

I tried to solve this problem with "Folder Options" in the control panel of Windows 7 but I did help and I "' reset all the original settings, which did not help either.
I can't create new folders in any other folder either. Even the "New folder" option in the toolbar does not have what it is supposed to do, namely to create a new folder.
You have installed chrome? It's looking like a recent update of chromium may be the cause. Here are two patches.

Windows Explorer crashes when the click with the right button on folders
My Windows Explorer crashes whenever I right click on a folder, any folder. It is for me a "Windows Explorer has stopped working" then it gives me a warning 'Windows restarts. Then he closes my Explorer window. I tried many things to see if that would help and nothing has done so far. Anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this problem or knows what could be the problem?
Click right problems are very often caused by third-party programs adding entries in the context menu. Here is a program that can help you manage these inscriptions: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html. Here, another article written for XP, but it applies to Vista that may be useful: http://windowsxp.mvps.org/context_folders.htm.
I hope this helps.

With regedit , you can see a lot of extensions of files known, for example, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.txt for txtfile. To get rid of the "new extension" option in all of the folders that you can rename the key HKCR\.txt\ShellNew to HKCR\.txt\ShellNew.disabled or similar.
Some applications can open empty files, for example, Notepad can open a (new) empty text file. For the purposes of C:\windows\shellnew which is indicated by an empty string (REGSZ) NullFile. -

I'm a prisoner of the "new private window? Is it OK if I don't want that? God is going to punish me? It certainly looks that way.
I got Win 10 for 4 months and until yesterday, 11/10, I didn't even know about the 'new private window' and the flag purple now appears when I right-click on the Firefox icon. Someone tried to help her by suggesting new privacy settings. So I lost most of my desktop shortcuts but not the private window! I'll be back most of the shortcuts, but I'm still stuck with the purple flag company. I have a background of tech and only for this reason that I try to keep things simple. It is vital that, how did you before? Any help or clarification will be appreciated. Thanks for listening.
The image used for the incognito in the task bar was changed to Firefox 42. Previously, the image was not colored purple, more as a lighter blue color.
