Windows Firewall problem

The Windows Firewall is disabled and I need to activate whenever I turn on my PC?

Hello

·        Since when are you facing this problem?

·        Remember to make changes to the system?

·        Do you have any third-party firewall installed on the system?

I suggest you return the item mentioned below.

Using the Windows Firewall

http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/networking/security/winfirewall.mspx

How can I turn on or turn off the firewall in Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later versions?

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/283673

It may also be that, Security Center is the load before Windows Firewall load completely.

If you continue to see the alert, however, there are good chances are you see the effects of an infection. See if you can download/run the malicious software removal tool manually:

http://www.Microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.aspx

·        You have security software installed on the system?

If this isn't the case, I suggest you to install Microsoft security essentials on the system and then scan your system for any virus or malware. It is easy to install and use. Click on the link below.

  • Windows Firewall problem - unable to start service. [FIXED]

THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED! Thank you! SEE MY LAST POST FOR MORE DETAILS.

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I use Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware for a while and we had no problems with the software.

I tried to start the Windows Firewall service for the last couple days. After some research (with no response), I tried several steps.

Evertime I try to turn on the Windows Firewall through Control Panel, I get this error:

"Windows Firewall cannot change some of your settings.

    0x8007042c error code. »

First, I checked the Services. This is what I found.

    -Windows Firewall (automatic)

    -Engine of Filtring basis (Auto)
    -Windows Firewall authorization driver (missing)

Then I tried sfc/scannow in a prompt (run as administrator). This was the result.

"Start system analysis.  This process will take time.

Start of the phase of verification of the scanning system.
    Full check of 100%.

Then, I went in the management of the computer and found that Windows Firewall authorization driver has a yellow top brand scream icon. Right click and clicking on properties gave this:

    Under the general tab:

    Device type: drivers Non Plug-and-Play

    Manufacturer: unknown

    Loactaion: unknown

Status of the device: this device is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed. (Code 24)

    Driver tab:

This error appears whenever I try to start the Windows Firewall authorization diver:

"The system has encountered the following error trying to start the service.

Cannot create a file when that file already exists. »

Then I tried these commands in the same command prompt, with the results listed after each command:

An error occurred while trying to contact the Windows Firewall service. Make sure that the service is running, then try your request again.

I'm going crazy that I installed and uninstalled various malware detectors/antivirus programs and still no change. I'm sick to death of it and above which, I can not install my new printer/scanner because he needs the firewall so that it can communicate with the laptop and of course the firewall is in a coma so don't not speaking.

    Hello Kiwipon_CC,

Do you have any other software installed that contains a firewall?  How long have you had this problem and have you made changes to your front the computer this error?  You have installed new software before it happens?

Firstly, I would like to launch a full analysis of the software removal antivirus and malware, you have already done.  I would then run a SFC scan to see if it can fix this problem.

    Hi Tom,

A firewall is software or hardware that checks information coming from the Internet or a network. The firewall blocks the information or allows information to pass to your computer. If the information is blocked or passed through depends on your firewall settings. A firewall can prevent malicious software (such as worms) to access your computer through a network or the Internet. A firewall can also help stop your computer from malware sent to other computers. Windows XP, Windows XP SP2 and Windows XP SP3 includes firewall software.

Perform the steps from the link below and see if it helps.
