Windows hangs or freezes.

Original title: windows 7 freezes, but still run.

Please excuse my bad English

Hello.

I have a very complex problem that is hard to explain and that seems to be very rare:

It's the fourth day in a row that my windows laptop crashes randomly for a few seconds. When the problem starts, first my taskbar freezes so I can't click on anything. Then the entire screen seems to freeze with her, but the applications are still running. When it's cold, my mouse works, but I can't click on anything. When I try to open the by typing CTRL + ALT + DELETE Task Manager, the options are frozen. Then, when I go to my desktop and click on a random point on the screen, left click becomes a right click.

Another thing of fanny, is that my Touchpad mouse does not seem to understand my hand movements. I can move only the mouse itself, but any clicks with her. It is also included the two bottom below him, with does not work as well.

I tried to reboot the system ranging from a week in time, but the problem continues. I then tried to make the C drive error checking, but no change.

I know that I do not have a virus, because I scanned my computer several times after that the problem began.

It said at the same time.

Help, please.

Thank you.

    Hello

Some additional details about my situation:

    • I've been using experienced PC (a HPw1907v with windows 7 Professional installed) for the last few months, but only the problem hanging or freezing in 3/4 weeks.
    • It doesn't seem to be common to the freezing episodes factors - sometimes I run a certain program - sometimes nothing at all.
    • When the PC crashes, I can not access the keyboard (Ctrl/alt/delete etc.) but audio will focus on the race.
    • The only way to get the PC going again is to pass the thing and the new (I know that's not good for the PC) and when the closing error screen appears it is often frozen (other than the countdown to numbers).
    • Sometimes I have to manually restart 2 or 3 times before Windows starts up again (in other words, it will restart but always show a frozen mouse).
    • I tried to install a Microsoft performance fix run and he seems to think there is a problem with programs running at startup-, but being not very PC to read and write, I'm not sure what programs to stop execution etc.

  • Windows 7 screen freezes, freezes mouse cursor and keyboard freezes.

    Hi all

About a month ago my internet kept cutting at about 02:00 in the afternoon - even if my BThub said it was a signal - and my internet access would not return until 05:00 sharp later that day here. This went on for about two weeks, it doesn't happen too much now, however, recently, something happens...

I have a desktop HP Pavilion s5000 and all day - every day - not only freezes my screen, if I'm online or simply type in a Word doc, but my mouse cursor and keyboard freeze too, all at once. It's as if all of the computer crashes, and the only way I can "unfreeze" it is cutting off the entire batch to the switch. In this case nothing three times a day to ten times a day. Can someone tell me what could be the problem and how I can try to solve it? I did a system restore, to restore the PC to a date earlier, I did this about five times now, but the problem persists.

    Many thanks in advance,

    Danni.

I finally got windows xp pro installed, no conflicts in Device Manager, all the drivers are installed and now running smooth. I removed the keyboard, and re-set, all connections look good, but still not good. the synaptics keyboard works fine and both rt & lft click the buttons. I pulled the ram to inspect it, it's the right speed, ddr2700, and after running for an hour, it was cold to the touch! I'll try to get a new keyboard and replace it, their pretty good work, if still not good it becomes pieces on ebay... lol tx again... Marty

  • KB915597 cause windows vista to freeze

KB915597 for Windows Defender update causes Windows Vista to freeze.  At all times, I have to restart my computer for this reason.  And I can't uninstall Windows Defender because it is now integrated into Windows Vista.  In addition, I can not uninstall the update.  If ever I have to reinstall windows again and uncheck automatic updates, so I can make sure that this update is downloaded or simply live with the question until Microsoft fixes it.  Microsoft has released a fix for this error yet?  There is nothing wrong with my laptop because I just erased the hard drive and reinstalled vista.  I actually discovered this by accident because I reinstalled my operating system before but this freeze happening started and I thought it was a problem of Dell Update.

  • Windows hangs and nothing works, when I go to the Twitter site

I have a strange problem. I am running Firefox, Windows 7 64 bit. Windows by hanging anything works keyboard, mouse, Manager of the tasks. He does for about 3 minutes, then it goes again. The funny part is he does it only when I go to my Twitter page. Also windows Explorer closes a little work.  Happens that when I use Firefox, Chrome, IE all other browsers do not cause windows to hang all tried. Fire fox will stop responding, then start up again only on my Twitter page. Ago that I know that Firefox is the problem, but their support is saying that Firefox can not cause Windows hang on Twitter. Funny, it seems that these problems begin when I install Firefox. But everyone tells me it's a matter of Windows. Can anyone help?

    Hello

If you have only these problems when using Firefox, the solution seems obvious.

Stop using Firefox and and uninstall this browser.

Start using another browser that works.

    Concerning

  • Windows 7 keeps freezing during and after the connection

So for the last two weeks, my computer (a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7 laptop) has been having this problem.

Whenever I try to start Windows, the computer freezes. Most of the time, I'll be able to connect in the first place and the desktop and the taskbar appears normal, but I won't be able to open all programs. The mouse will have a circle "loading" beside him who won't go away, will not come to the top of the start menu and the taskbar will be completely insensitive. When I move the cursor to the taskbar, the arrow usually turns into a circle of "loading". By pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete in the meantime does nothing. The only thing I can do is turn off the computer by pressing the power button.

Sometimes I won't be able to connect at all. The desktop appears as a blank screen, either dark blue or black color. Sometimes the mouse cursor is sometimes visible and sensitive enough to be moved to the screen, sometimes that is not there or completely unresponsive. Whatever it is, there is absolutely nothing I can do when the computer is in this State.  Sometimes the Office does not at all, and I'll be stuck watching the blue 'Welcome' screen until I turn off the computer. Sometimes I can't even that, as the computer crashes as soon as I click on my user icon.

These problems occur when I connect the guest too account. Sometimes they occur when I try to start the computer in Mode safe, but sometimes (usually after many frustrating attempts), I will be able to log in Mode safe mode normally. (Right now I'm in Mode safe mode with networking.) When I try to log on to the guest mode safe account, it always freezes before connect you or displays a message saying that there is "a mistake with the sense of service" or something like that.

While in Safe Mode, I tried entering the system setup and turning off some startup programs. Who gets usually the computer working again for a little while, but after a few days problems reactivating. I also tried to do a restore of the system three times, but every time the restore has failed to occur due to errors (do not remember exactly what). The computer began working again after the attempt, but once more, the problems would be just begin again in a few days.

What causes this problem, and what can I do to solve it for good?

    Hello

It could be a particularly strong virus or malware. Safe mode, I would run my antivirus software on a deep, boot level scan. If you don't have an antivirus, I use and recommend Avast Free Edition: http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10019223.html (only use the Direct download link).

Other than your antivirus and also run it from Safe Mode, the following malware scanners:

    Malwarebytes': http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html ;  and,

    SuperAntiSpyware: http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edition/3000-8022_4-10523889.html .

Again, use the Direct download link only. Let me know if this solves the problem for you.

    Kind regards

  • The volume causes Windows Explorer to freeze

    Hi all

A question I continue to meet is one which concerns the volume on my laptop controls.  Every now and then, when I try to adjust the volume of my computer, Windows Explorer will freeze.  When I try to click on the bar of Solution Explorer, I was informed that "Windows has stopped working", and I give myself the option to restart, closure or waiting so that he could respond.  I can shut down or restart and will unlock the bar, but any time I try to adjust the volume after this first occurrence will result in another gel.  Volume control by physical on my laptop volume button or the virtual volume mixer will produce the same result.
    Here are some specs...
Software: Windows 7 Edition home premium (32 bit)
    Material: Toshiba Satellite A205-S4577
It is a problem that happens erratically, but tends to occur more frequently when the laptop is unplugged.

    Can anyone give advice?

    Thank you, Pranav.

I actually received a response from Technical Support for Windows earlier and it solved the problem!
In this case, they said that i:
    First, back up all files.
Then make a quick virus scan to search for threats.  A few should be ok, but 10 or more are a problem.
Then, do an analysis of the file system to find all system files is damaged.  The scan detects and repairs.  To do:
    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
And that solved it for me!
