Windows installation Tech Preview 10 on 13 of Yoga than double trunk

Hi guys,.

I'm new here, but have 13 Yoga for almost 2 years now.

But this isn't the case if

I have problems to install the Windows Technical Preview 10 on my machine on a new partition. I lowered the storage on my Windows8_OS with about 40 GB drive. Everything ready for installation and got the Bios to boot from USB. But when I'm about to choose the partition to install the Tech Preview, the button NEXT will not appear. All I get is the message: "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is the GPT partition style.

As this is the Lenovo Forums, I have you guys know this as the origin of the problem here.

Hope you guys know what I want and I hope that you have the answer.

Thanks in advance.

Details on my machine:

Processor: Intel Core i7

RAM: 8 GB
System type: 64 - bit

SDS: 256 GB

I found the solution to my problem.

Just follow this link and you will be ready.

When I bought my Acer Aspire E1 - 510P it came with windows 8 pre installed and there is no CD-ROM/dvd-rom in this laptop. Well, I installed Win 10 and it has messed up the windows 8 recovery drive, it installs the win10 whenever you get back so I lost my windows 8. Is not a big problem because I like window 10 now my problem is the windows 10 is to be free with the first year of sales, but because I don't have my pre installed win 8 that everything would be more I still get the 10 free victory.   The only way to get the rear windows 8 is buying for $50.00 acer recovery media, that I won't buy unless I absolutely have to.

So I still would be able to get the win 10 free?

    (1) the instructions about test Windows preview 10 said he would remove your ability to restore to the factory. Please ensure that you read the instructions more carefully.

    (2) you don't need to buy recovery for Windows 8 to Asus.  This would have all your drivers, but you can also just get the Microsoft recovery files directly, then go get the drivers from the Asus site.  This way you can make a free complete restoration.

    (3) regardless of the way you collect, you can always get Windows 10 free.

  • Impossible to uninstall windows 10 tech preview

My son installed the technical preview Windows 10 on my PC and now I am unable to uninstall or to revert to Windows 7. I have the 3 recovery DVDs I created when I got the PC, but even if they are appearing on my records they do not autorun.  I tried to access the start menu by rebooting - no luck. The recovery option only restores to a fresh 10 Windows.

    Hi Mick,

    You are welcome

Install Windows from what is essentially a retail disk is usually less problematic than with recovery media, so I hope that there is no slack - just post back if there is.

  • Windows opens the files by a simple click rather than double, how can I change this?

    Window 7 file selection clicks

Windows 7 opens a file with a single click when I don't want to do, I want to just select the file for possible copy or other activity.  How can I force to require a double-click to open the file as good old XP

If your on simple click to open, what you have to do is (dot) in the file.

    Click to open, tap Select.

If you want to change this setting go to your libraries you are interested in, click on organize in the upper left corner, and select the folders and search options, general tab, change to double click, save.

  • Why when I run the installer for Windows 8 consumer preview on my computer of Windows XP Home Edition he says: "this platform is not supported"?

Setup of Windows 8 consumer priview

Why when I run the installer for Windows 8 consumer preview on my computer of Windows XP Home Edition he says: "this platform is not supported"?

You can see this message if you downloaded Windows 8 64-bit and XP 32-bit. To start the installation of Windows 8, you will need to restart and boot from the installation of Windows 8 media.

If you want to keep your current installation of Windows, you can install it on a separate partition and dual boot with the Windows 8 Preview of consumer. To install on a separate partition and dual boot, you must create and boot from the installation media.

    (1) first you will need a free partition on hard drive - if you do not you can shrink a partition and create a new one to install Windows 8 Preview of consumer on.
To reduce a partition and add a new one that you can use EASEUS Partition Master (free):
    http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

    (2) to install on a separate disk, you can perform an installation DVD or USB key, then boot from it so you can choose the other partition. To download the ISO file and install media:
Download Windows 8 consumer Preview ISO:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/ISO
After you download the ISO file - use the Windows USB/DVD Download tool to install media:
    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

    (3) installation on a separate partition for dual boot:
1 make a DVD or USB installation drive - to see the two options above.
    2. start from the DVD or USB install drive and click on install when prompted.
    3. during the installation process, when asked - choose a custom installation.
    4. Select a free partition on the hard disk to install Windows 8 Preview of consumer - this will install Windows 8 on a separate instead of your current Windows partition partition.
    5 continue with the installation.

    First of all please note:
1 consumer preview Windows 8 is a pre-release and will only work for a limited time - when it expires, you need to remove it.
    2. the overview of consumption is stable and has been tested, but it s not the finished product. Your PC may crash and you may lose important files. You should backup your data and you shouldn't test Windows 8 Preview of consumers on your primary home or business PC.
    3. If you install the preview of consumption on the Windows partition is currently installed, you cannot uninstall the preview of consumption. To return to your previous version of Windows, you will need to reinstall from the recovery or installation media supplied with your PC.
    4. in addition to dual boot, here are a few methods to install Windows 8 Preview of consumers without affecting your current installation of Windows:
    (A) remove your current hard drive and install the Preview of consumers on a spare drive.
    (B) install it on a spare computer.
    (C) install the Preview of consumer in a virtual machine.

  • W511 Windows 10 Technical Preview 0xc0000428

    Hi all

First of all, I got this error: 0xc0000428 after my last Technical Preview of Windows Update a few days ago.

It all started with not be able to connect or find any wifi at all.

Now that the error does not, but during all the TS I now starts and says its done some modifications, it is said with a Windows warning window:

"Windows is unable to complete the installation. To install Windows on this computer, restart

    installation. "

So I guess the the smartest thing is to return to the window 8 new.

Before I installed Windows Technical Preview that I made the backup of Microsoft asked,

    assume that it is this:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/preview-FAQ#FAQ=TAB0

At least, it is in the installation steps.

And this is how the file looks like:

    boot

    EFI

    sources

    Bootmgr

    Bootmgr.EFI

    reagent

but there was NO any file installation or AutoPlay,

so, how can I do this restore to Windows 8?

I have already downloaded the site Web of Microsofts Windows 8.1,

    shooting these files:

    Autorun

    Setup

And I put them as well as the backup, I created, added to the USB

and has managed to startup, touchscreen, keyboard and mouse work, so I tried RE mode, or go

Back to older tech preview 4, tried all options. but nothing works.

Then I loaded the USB with the Windows 8.1 that I downloaded and this place starts.

and it's getting ready to install, but the touch screen does not work,

the keyboard does not work, the mouse does not work, so I can't click next to start

    installation.

Same thing Windows 8.1 when I insert the USB with Windows Technical Preview.

I can go into the BIOS with the lower Volume and the power button pressed together until the BIOS is displayed.

    It also runs Thouch.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

    Zenpotter

    Hi kirankp25,

    Thanks for the reply.

I solved it yesterday, I wrote the first time I had tried all the options,

I thought, but my 15 year old nephew said that I did not

the clean install, in which I did later, when the option of

Remove the module from TPM - which is something about the possibility to encrypt your

HD with bitclocker and so on, I removed it and everything worked.

Not sure if it was possible without deleting it, in any case, now I still write on

    My W511 with keyboard.

Looks like it works a lot better now, with Windows Technical Preview.

It is probably Acer built the Windows 8 to work perfectly with this specific operating system.

with installing custom drivers and so on. I guess you know what I mean!

Thank you for this forum even exist.

  • 10 Windows Installer needs re install SoundMAX...

Maybe it wasn't the smartest computer decision that I've ever done, but I have an old HP nw8440 Mobile Workstation that I installed Windows 8.1 on and then installed Windows 10 Technical Preview on. So far so good. But last night Microsoft installed upgrading of version newest and he needs to re - install SoundMAX inorder to give back me my audio. What drivers and do I use to thios OS, because HP has only drivers for this model of laptop until Windows Vista? If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

    Thank you

    Randy McPhie

    Hi, Randy:

I would try the Vista audio driver from support of your PC and driver page.

You may need to install manually if auto installation does not work.

It's fun to experiment with operating systems.

I currently hit a brick with the latest version W10 wall on my HP Elitebook 6930p.

Everything worked great until the latest version is out.

Now I get a Code of 12 on my reader (not enough system resources).

I pointed out the error, as well as not being able to get rid of the lock screen, even if I set group policy to disable.

When the next generation comes out, I'll give it another shot.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5 - 1140d: need help with relocation to Windows 7 from Windows 10 Technical Preview

Hello. I am currently using a Windows 10 Technical Preview in my office and want to install the official version of Windows 10. However, Microsoft has answered me, in order to install the FREE Windows Home 10 fresh new official retail version, I have to go back to the previous version which is Windows 7 then updated via windows update. I tried to check with HP Recovery Manager, but there is no option to return to windows 7. Only it has option to reset the tech 10 preview windows. So I went to the Microsoft website to download the ISO of Windows 7 files to install in flash player, it asks for the product key. And then I entered the key correctly which is stuck on my Windows product key sticker desktop. But he didn't and the message that this is a key of the OS preinstalled, contact your manufacturer. Now, I'm stuck with how to return to Windows 7! I need help ASAP! Thank you. I did backup and everything so much already.

Yes, M$ makes it seem as if the OEM product key will work, but it does not work. There are choices and it depends on how you wish to just to proceed.

As the model number is not included in the post, it is only a general Council, here.  You can make one of these to restore Windows 7 to useful step.

    (1) reinstall Windows from the recovery disks set - if you do not, order of HP for a low price ~ $ 25 - $30 US

    (2) check if the recovery Partition (usually D :) there is and run recovery from that)

    3) reinstall using Winows 7 retail disc and allows to activate the COA key

    (4) buy 10 Windows and install
