• Uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 8 MORE re - install.

  How to COMPLETELY uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 8 so that I can reinstall clean.

  My copy is damaged somehow so bad that I can't navigate what either without error "not responding" and a lot of pages, that allows to load OK does not charge now and I can't seem to download and files that are oiffered on specific sites (for example the financial operations of a financial institution to import into Quicken).

  Please, try the following steps.

  (1) check that the homepage of your Internet Explorer is not "facebook.com" - could be found under Tools-> Internet Options-> general, in the section "Home Page." If you do not have "facebook.com" written there, replace it with another site that you want to load when you start your browser or with "subject: empty ' If you just want a blank window is displayed when you run your browser.

  (2) on your Start menu, choose programs-> startup programs list. If "Internet Explorer" is in the list, just simply delete.

  ((3) if (2)) does not help, try running 'msconfig' (choose Run from the Start Menu and just type "msconfig" in the window that appears), go to "Startup" and uncheck a box near point "Windows Internet Explorer".

  You need a real antivirus because these are the two antispyware. You have the PCtools antivirus
