  Do not worry. Windows Installer Cleanup Utility may be able to help. You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer Cleanup Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

  Make sure all other programs are closed and no installation happens on your computer while you try to install the update of Windows Live Essentials.

  It shows that you have a corruption in your file system.
  Run the System File Checker:

  Click Start
  Type: CMD, according to the results, right-click CMD
  Click on "Run as Administrator"
  At the command prompt, type: sfc/scannow

  This will check for any violation of the integrity and repair any damaged operating system files.

  Restart your system

  Then try again and download and install Windows Installer Cleanup Tool. Click here to download the utility.
  You can use the utility to remove installation information for programs that were installed by using Windows Installer. Remember that Windows Installer CleanUp Utility does not remove the actual program from your computer. However, it will remove the installation files so that you can start the installation, upgrade, or uninstall on.

  If this does not work uninstall, reinstall the program and then try to uninstall again. Usually, this will help to eliminate all aspects of the programs.

Yet once I downloaded the Windows Live Essentials, but it says I already have Windows Movie Maker on my computer. The thing is that I can't find anywhere on my computer (or maybe it's there, I just don't know how to find it). I also tried opening appwiz.cpl and checked Windows Movie Maker and photo gallery, but the entries are not there. So I can't proceed with the following steps in Microsoft Help Tutorials.
