Windows Live is stuck perpetually trying to send an email that I can't remove. Error 0x800CCC79

Without knowing it, I sent an email to an address that is no longer valid.

Now, I get an error every time after he sends and receives mail - on this single email is not received.  I continue to send and receive other messages.  However, this message (below, sorry for the blur) continually appears when I open direct mail, when I close, and every two minutes or so:

I don't want to send the email.  I see nothing in my sent items on this e-mail, nothing in my drafts.  I can't find anything to delete for this stop.

I saw a solution to this problem, but he discusses enter information O2 (?).  Nothing related to me and nothing I could understand to apply to me.

Thank you, Bruce.  It seems that my problem was simply not see the Outbox!  I never see him in my opinion, even with the scroll bar is close.

    OS Vista Basic by using windows live mail 2009. This problem just started this afternoon. Everytime I open my windows live mail, it appears. I have not changed the servers. The only event that happened recently was that Adobe Flash Player update. That's all. I can't send or receive messages from my windows live mail.

    Where it says 'Server', SMTP must be smtp. Make the corrections in your account settings.

    To give you a little history, Windows Mail does not support the HTTP messaging, which for a long time was the only authorized method of access for free Hotmail/MSN accounts.     Almost all the time which is caused by a problem of email provider.  Please contact your provider to set up your account.  It is complex and requires exact accuracy.

    If it worked before, it may be a change took place in the required configuration.  Alternatively, it could be a problem on their web site of messaging.  Connect to their web mail and see if there is a problem.

    In General, e-mail providers like not produced as WLM because when you use it, you do not see advertising that they want to show you.  Thus, some e-mail providers are not particularly helpful when it comes to WLM.

    You can also Google accounts for this provider configuration and can find help there.  If you tell us who is your provider, we are able to be more helpful.

    Check for working offline and see if it will delete, or else create a new Outbox and sent items folder.

    Follow these steps for the Outbox, sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create. Just don't touch the problem message so OE will not freeze.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the Outbox.dbx and Sent Items.dbx file and remove them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

    To avoid this in the future:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

    Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes.
