    Just to understand it

    I had to change smapi.dll

Current version on the computer: 15.4.3538.513

I searched the Internet and found an another smapi.dll versioned 14.0.8117.416

Replaced original smapi.dll in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Windows Live\Mail\ and everything started working. not sure if this is a bug in the most recent version of the dll, but it works with the older ones.

    Hope that will help someone.

You have probably installed Bullguard security software. An update just before Christmas began to cause the symptoms you see. They should disappear if you disable the BG anti-spam filter; the official remedy is upgraded to Bullguard v.12:

  • Why some attachments deleted in Windows Live Mail 2011?

Sometimes, not always, Windows Live Mail 2011 will pass an attachment. The message will be in my box that is sent with the attachment, but I'll have the clients say "no commitment." I can refer and it passes through very well.

I am running Window Live Mail 2011, 2011 Version (Build 15.4.3555.0308)
My OS: Windows 7 Professional, Version 6.1 (Build 7601, Service Pack 1)
I thought it was a user error, then I thought I was crazy. Now, I know for a fact that on occasion, Windows Live Mail will drop an attachment.
Any help to solve this problem will be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Margaret Lockwood

If you can see that the attachment is there in your folder sent items , then he was sent. The message was accepted for transmission by your e-mail service or server of your ISP. If the message arrived with no attachment, then it is being disrupted by another server of mail along the line, or the email of the recipient or the service client. We talk about what type of attachment - file image, document, something else? Certain types of files will not be accepted by some transmission of mail services.

  • Windows Live Essentials 2011 is not compatible with Vista!

For several months, I tried to download this updated stupid, but for some reason any, that I don't understand, Windows Live Essentials 2011 will not download to my computer that runs on Windows Vista 32-bit.  My anti-virus software is Norton and doesn't seem to block any downloads software whatsoever, unless he invites me to block first.  I tried to download it from my Windows Update, I tried to download official Microsoft Web site and I even tried a download offline on one of the links posted here, but it will not download.  If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

Off-topic: can someone explain to me that, since Internet Explorer 9 download (I have since managed to get rid of and fortunately returned to IE8), why main my taskbar and windows icons disappear and not return when I leave my PC slowed down!

Windows Live Essentials 2011 (QFE1) is entirely compatilble - with Vista SP2 (only).

You will find support in this forum ONLY for the installation/uninstall/upgrade to update / upgrade to Windows Live Essentials 2011: http://windowslivehelp.com/forums.aspx?forumid=a372972e-8e7a-4d85-adc3-a1b43e8c02ec

  • In Windows Live Mail 2011, when I click to send a message or reply to a message, the original message is not included in the message.

I installed Windows Live Mail 2011 as part of a clean Windows 7 Pro 64 - bit installation. I recently discovered that, when replying to emails and in the transmission of emails, only the header of the message appears in my verse forward or reply. The body of the original e-mail does not appear. I checked the security settings and made sure that the "Include message in reply" option (options |) The Send tab) is checked.

Help, please! It shouldn't be so complicated.

Well I solved just my own question. In the attempts to define my fonts so that no e-mail messages look attractive (i.e. not Times New Roman), I went to the Options | Play button and clicked on 'Fonts', the proportional and lockable fonts to width and size of characters and encoding ('User Defined'). I then proceeded to the "International settings" button and check the box for "Use of the a default encoding for all incoming messages". Check this box what's causing the WLM 2011 to no longer aim for the original in the responses and forward message.

Is good, I guess, to do too much tinkering. Hope this helps someone in the future.

  • Windows live mail 2011-sorting of mail

My OS is windows vista 32-bit sp2.  I have windows live mail 2011. This has recently been updated to 2009 when I installed a windows update that includes updates of windows live essentials.  I don't know if this problem appeared at this time or not as I just noticed. Problem is that when I check my email list and I want to sort on the column, it will not be. There he performs a sort on the column of the object. The "arrow" appears in the column to watch either ascending or descending, and messages are not sorted by the column's.  I tried to sort on the column of the object to see if it would then sort by the column to, but he did not. I tried to close the output of WLM and opening it again, which was not resolved. I went to the display option in the toolbar access and selected for the type by option but that is also not sort by To.  Ugh.  It's complicated!

  • Windows Live Mail 2011 - import E-mail Mess

Before installing a new hard drive in my laptop, I exported all my messages from email in Windows Live Mail 2011. I installed the new hard drive and install a fresh copy of Windows Live Essentials 2011 which includes Windows Live Mail 2011. After you import all my e-mail exported, I noticed that a lot of messages not correctly appear in the reading pane, or pourraient they be open by double-clicking.

When I saw the contents of the following directory: 'C:\Users\Clint\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail' I saw all my *.eml files, but many of those messages would not preview or open it from the Windows Live Mail 2011 application. This was the case even after the file > Options > Mail > Advanced tab > key Maintenance > Compact the database on shutdown every tracks 1 > output > restart the procedure.

I discovered that Windows Explorer, if I dragged an e-mail "not readable" among the "storage folders" and moved to the "Inbox" folder and then reopen Windows Live Mail 2011, that the email would be visible in the reading pane and that it could also be opened by double click. The e-mail could then be extended to a storage folder in Windows Live Mail 2011 application.

However, following this procedure changed how the 'From' and 'To' names were displayed. Rather than showing just the name of the person as the sender or recipient, e-mail list would show the name of the person as well as the email address in quotation marks and parentheses like this format: 'Name' * address email is removed from the privacy *>

Is there a way to fix the way the name is now displayed in the registration e-mail so that it appears without the * address email is removed from the privacy *> address?

Also, is there a better way to solve the original problem of imported enamel is not not readable in Windows Live Mail 2011? Cleaning up my email using the above method took several weeks of hard work.

(Please note that all my email registered has been contained and organized in folders nested 'storage' within Windows Live Mail 2011 before export.) My email is set up to be deleted on the mail servers when it is moved from my Windows Live Mail 2011 "inbox" to one of my "storage folders". Also, I use multiple e-mail accounts, a being * address email is removed from the privacy * and being * address email is removed from the privacy * . Before the export and import of e-mail, I never had problems with Windows Live Mail. I have compacted as frequently the database.)
