Windows Live Mail BUG: BLOCKING my emails from senders! :(

I google - but have not found someone to talk about this problem.

Windows 7 home 64 WLM 2011

I KNOW how to block senders & areas - under "junk e-mail options" & I tried ALL the...

But, I still find e-mails of shippers approved in my deleted folder.  :(

ANY ideas what to do?

  • How to get Windows Live Mail 2011 to remove emails from my hotmail server account once they have been synchronized with the WML client. ?

How to fix WLM 2011 to remove emails from my hotmail server account once they have been synchronized with the WML client. ? I've seen several references in forums to an option that is located on the Advanced tab in the menu Options/Email accounts/properties, but I don't have an option in the Advanced tab in this menu. Is there another way to do it. ? I tried to do this manually, but when I manually delete a message in my Hotmail account it also deletes the message on the client when it synchronizes. I would like to have my messages stored on my customer only and not on the server. Is there a way to do this. ?

  • You want to CANCEL Windows Live Mail Initiation and remove it from my computer.

Start Windows Live Mail to see what 'new' services it was available.  She TOOK over MY COMPUTER, copied/converted all my e-mail folders to in its files and formats. (Fortunately it seems to have left my files of such ordinary Windows Messaging what.)  I don't see anything new he worth having, format is less than plain Windows Mail - more spread out, more junk to eliminate through to get to what I need.

I so WANT to CANCEL THE 'CONVERSION', REMOVE THE (duplicate SPACE GASPILLER) FILES IT CREATED AND THEN REMOVE ALL TRACES OF WINDOWS LIVE (all THE COMPONENTS) OF MY COMPUTER.  HOW CAN I DO THIS WITHOUT > WITHOUT< damaging="" my="" original="" plain="" windows="" mail="" folders,="" emails,="" contacts,="" accounts="" etc.="">

To uninstall Windows Live Mail (WLM)...
Start button > Control Panel > Classic view > Porgrams and features (or Add and Remove) > scroll to find Mindows Live Essentials, right-click, click UNINSTALL > follow the instructions from there.

    Note: you can check if
1.) your contact lists are the same in WLM and WM. If this isn't the case, you will need to save it in csv.
2.) you want to keep the WLM email messages. (If you "leave a copy of messages on the server" turned on, so you have no question there).

  • How can I prevent anyone using a shared computer to open Windows Live Mail and see my email?

We have a shared computer in our House running Vista Home Premium. When you open Windows Live Mail my email inbox is displayed. How can I prevent anyone who uses the computer to this opening program and see my email?

The only way to do is to setup Windows user accounts for each user.  Other users cannot see what another user sees.

  • Windows Live Mail - not all received emails are displayed in the Inbox

I get emails in Windows Live mail. I do not see some of them in my Inbox but they shows in Quickview unread. When I read one, it does not appear in Quickview no read more (I expect) but I do not see any Inbox in Quickview and its still not in my Inbox. If I do a search in Live Mail it does not appear, but if I search using the search for Windows 7 it finds and displays the path as being in the Inbox. Any ideas?

While in the Inbox: view | Current view. Make sure Show all Messages is checked and nothing else. If this does not resolve the problem, please ask the Windows Live Mail Forums

  • Windows Live Mail and blocked top-level domain list

Under spam / Security Options / International are a couple of tabs that I don't understand.

Blocked the field list high level: since so much spam - and dangerous E-mail comes in general - overseas, it seems like an obvious ' block ' e-mail from all areas overseas.

Blocked encoding list: yet once there are many foreign countries.

As all my correspondents are in the United States or the Philippines, does make sense to block all foreign domains and encodings except in the Philippines?

    If not, why?

    Hello
no need to block areas overseas. First off, with the sophistication of the software today, they could get around it if they really wanted. 2nd, not all negative messages comes from overseas. Third, you spam filter can be tweaked to handle much of the spam.
My advice is just to pay attention to what you open... do not open attachments without first of all of their scanning.
If you do not know the name... Keep it on the road!

  • Window Live Mail 2011 bounce an email msg

I got an email that I am trying to answer.  Multiple recipients, but only 3 ppl.  When I answer all the email, it gets bounced.  I tried replying to the email with 1 single recipient (tried all the recipients 1 by 1), e-mail gets bounced.

However, when I create a new message (do not answer email msg) e-mail and send it to the ppl 3 same, it goes through OK.  WTF?

Not knowing about false - this is a personal email, shippers are friends of my friends (theyre all on my contact list)-we were just setting up a date to meet for lunch is all.

I recently had a hard drive crash, so I reinstalled Vista and got the new WLM 2011, however, before, using my old WLM I could reply to this thread.  Maybe there is a problem of formatting or HTML in this e-mail that bounces of WLM?

EDIT: HOW IS it for REALLY WEIRD - I JUST TRIED REPLYING to this MESSAGE, BUT passed OVER in THE SUBJECT LINE OF the email RE: something that I have WRITTEN AND the EMAIL went THROUGH...

  • XP SP3, and Windows Live Mail, when I receive a file .htm as an attachment to an e-mail, it's a file 'blocked '. How can I prevent this from happening.

Win XP SP3 and Windows Live Mail. I get emails from my office surveillance video. The e-mail has an attachment '.htm '. When I double click the file .htm in the email, it starts Internet Explorer 8 and must upload a short video clip and display it. The fly in the soup seems to be the fact that the .htm file is "locked".

He can be unlocked by saving it to disk and using Windows Explorer to display its properties, and then click the button "Unblock" - but it's just a "work around".

From what I read on Microsoft sites, the .htm files are not considered to be dangerous - or are? So why are they blocked? And how do I prevent it?

    I listen carefully!

Thank you very much Halima, maybe you helped me to focus, in any case I eventually find a switch in Windows Live Mail, which was causing my pain.

In Windows Live Mail, go to TOOLS-online the SECURITY OPTIONS-online SECURITY => and UNCHECK the line "do not allow opening or saving attachments that could contain a virus.

Problem solved - thank you for your time and effort.

  • Windows live mail 2012. Impossible to delete some messages from the Inbox.

    Have windows live mail 2012.

Impossible to delete some messages. Some are in the same domain. Should be spam. The settings have not been changed.

To solve the problem, I signed in Microsoft Outlook.com and managed to delete messages as well as notify Microsoft about junk e-mail. So far, when you use Windows live mail, I received an email from the same source as before and was able to remove it.

  • Windows live mail is going to Junk

I'm running Vista on my HP desktop computer, with windows live mail, I get an email (from 2 different people now) that is not junk, but it's where to find the email in the junk e-mail folder. I click on the email and click then on, not junk, then read the email. Next time I get an email from these 2 people, the email goes the Junk folder again. But even if I click not junk again, the content of the e-mail is now disappeared. The Message says, "content of the email is not found.

  • Issue of Windows Live Mail with SPAM and junk e-mail. When I block a sender, I always get an email from them.

The details are pretty easy. No matter how many times I click to block a source of junk mail I still get mail from the source. In short, the function block-spam does not work. I get the answer that the site has been blocked, but it is not. That's all. How can I get Windows Live Mail to block sources when I click

    the option of block source?

original title: can not block spam

Ridicule me. I had installed Windows Live Mail from a "last" Filehippo file. Problem ensued. I uninstalled [with Revo Uninstaller] and reinstalled through "Getting Started" in the start menu. No problem, everything is fine now. I learned my lesson the hard way though.

I was surprised how much my humble question generated activity. If my mishap and the solution in any case everyone outside, good help for them.
It's a kind of collateral damage of a reinstallation of the operating system. Installation, I replaced had lasted about a year, a record for me and would probably be still in place, if I had not made the mistake of dabbling with Acronis backup software I used on another computer with XP installed. There, it served a purpose, in Windows 7, it is a serious mistake. It replaces the built-in backup utility, and when inevitably corrupts it... both pis, Charlie.
