Windows Live Mail Desktop - is it deprecated and what to do instead of the other use?

It doesn't seem to be any forum covering WLMD that maybe says

My WLMD version is dated 2009 and I am wrong to believe he has not been updated since then - is it obsolete and do any other use instead?

Watch it again...

  • I just searched "windows live mail something unexpected happened error" and got 8 similar questions.

In all cases, the response was to post this question on another forum.  MOST of the links proposed did not work or was broken.  Since this seems to be a CONSISTENT and PERSISTENT error - should not be addressed by MICROSOFT engineers, NOT a public forum?

In my case I've deleted and reloaded Windows Live several times to include remove entries from my system registry.  My suspicion is that there is some sort of error of data in the mail store, but there are NO tools available to scan/identify/repair the Windows Mail store used by Windows Live Mail.

    Help, please!

  • I have the latest Windows Live Mail 2011, but when standby and locks system, the only way out is to do a complete or end of Windows, restart then go into sleep mode. This never used to happen until Windows 2011 has been upated in my PC.

I forget always at the end of the lIve session of Windows before you put it in standby mode, the PC appears and then lock properly said, in response to anything, so I have to do a reboot complete, very annoying.

Also when working within Windows 2011, if you add a lot of attachments to an e-mail, I have often to do and then send it, the list of attachments disappear off the screen, so when you send you do not know really which was transmitted, horrible situation, so you must include send to yourself, then you can check what has been sent. Stupid!.

How can I get rid of these flaws?

  • Windows Live Mail desktop is not displayed correctly

When I use the Windows Live Mail program on my computer, it does not display clear fonts.

It is connect to my outlook account.

The icons of menu items at the top and the reading Committee are crystal clear and sharp; but the Panel of the Inbox, calendar Panel and any other Panel I open it police washes out and falling out after I go over it. I can't read at all.

It looks like a map display to work setting. If you have a graphics ATI/AMD with CCC, disable morphological filtering or morphological anti-aliasing - probably in the games of the CCC section.

  • In Windows Live Mail if you open an attachment, then hit 'save' where will the file?

I have Windows 7, I use windows live mail. Sometimes I get the attachments, Word, Excel, ect. If I opened the mail document and press 'Save' I can't find out where it records. It does not save in any file temp that I see.

    Help, please.

The file will be located in a folder somewhere in
    C:\Users\ (YourAccount) \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet
    Files\

    "\AppData" is normally hidden
"\Temporary Internet Files" is normally only hidden protected by operating system
    file

You need to remove the check mark (if they are hidden) in Windows Explorer:
Organize - See the file & search - Options

    Good luck to find, however.

The right way is to save the first attachment and open it
the location of recording, if you want to change.

  • How to configure Windows Live Mail to send photos

Photoshop has no control on the Windows OS email application requirements. I think you will like the Forum of Microsoft. But while I'm Mac, not Windows and cannot say what will make Windows Mail, if you want to send pictures that are PSD files, you can try zipping the first. I don't know if you will be able to open them in Windows Live Mail. I don't know what it is. But the zip format might make it possible to send them a mail.
