Windows Live Mail forcing Me to change your E-mail address

Configure Windows Live Mail to a client, and they used for several months.  All of a sudden, one of the users cannot connect, because she's forced to rename his email address.  We cannot do that, because she needs the current e-mail address.  What can we do about it?
