  • I opened a new tab, but the boxes disappeared and comes with "the address is not valid.

I opened a new tab and it used to show my recent history in about 12 boxes but now I get this:

    "The address is not valid

The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.

    Oh dear.

Unfortunetly, you'll have to do a clean reinstall of firefox.

Don't forget to restart your PC inbetween facilities

    Good luck

  • I have the latest Windows Live Mail 2011, but when standby and locks system, the only way out is to do a complete or end of Windows, restart then go into sleep mode. This never used to happen until Windows 2011 has been upated in my PC.

I forget always at the end of the lIve session of Windows before you put it in standby mode, the PC appears and then lock properly said, in response to anything, so I have to do a reboot complete, very annoying.

Also when working within Windows 2011, if you add a lot of attachments to an e-mail, I have often to do and then send it, the list of attachments disappear off the screen, so when you send you do not know really which was transmitted, horrible situation, so you must include send to yourself, then you can check what has been sent. Stupid!.

How can I get rid of these flaws?

  • Try loading "subject: preferences" and Firefox responds 'the address is not valid' and 'Page download problem'... what gives?

The question has all the details inside...

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox, Tools/menu key > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

Your personal data such as bookmarks are stored in the Firefox profile folder, so you will not lose data when you uninstall and (re) install or update Firefox, but make sure you do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

If you keep the problems, and then create a new profile.

    Try this...

from your windows live client of e-mail:
Right click on the folder you want to synchronize (i.e., Inbox, etc.)
    Click on properties
    Click on "synchronize" tab
Check "in synchronizing this folder, download"
Select 'new messages' instead of 'all messages '.

  • I use Windows Live Mail. Change account email

I use Windows Live Mail. I want to change the settings. How do I enter Email properties? (or another category to even accomplish0)

WLM2011, right click on the chosen account, then click 'properties '. From there you can change the email address, passwords security etc. on different tabs.

You can also use the 'Accounts' tab on the Ribbon WLM. Select the e-mail account, you need to change and click 'Properties' on the Ribbon. The Ribbon of "Accounts", you can also add a new account etc.

  • I just searched "windows live mail something unexpected happened error" and got 8 similar questions.

In all cases, the response was to post this question on another forum.  MOST of the links proposed did not work or was broken.  Since this seems to be a CONSISTENT and PERSISTENT error - should not be addressed by MICROSOFT engineers, NOT a public forum?

In my case I've deleted and reloaded Windows Live several times to include remove entries from my system registry.  My suspicion is that there is some sort of error of data in the mail store, but there are NO tools available to scan/identify/repair the Windows Mail store used by Windows Live Mail.

    Help, please!

  • How to make Windows Live Mail Notifier of new messages permanently & stay in the tray on close program

Windows Live Mail may seem a new mail alert, but only once. It can also be in the notification area / bar tasks, but do not continue to inform. I would like continuous notification because when I'm not away and come back, I don't know unless I manually open the program that I have received the mail.

I would also keep it in the notification area, even if I close the program.

I would like continuous notification because when I'm not away and come back, I don't know unless I manually open the program that I have received the mail.

If you want to do something like that then you need either a third-party utility or a different email client like Thunderbird where you can change the notification.

I would also keep it in the notification area, even if I close the program.

Huh? NO e-mail client stops him. Why is it? If you find my answer helpful, please click the button "Vote as helpful"! Thank you! My Blog
