Windows Live mail pop-up window

Running W7 Home Prem, and Windows Live mail 2011.

Everytime I open WLM I get 2 opening windows, 1st reading, you're stuck on your account due to changes in password... etc. When I close the window, the next window that appears is asking me to enter ID and password (Login).  I have 1 email acct created... and 1 alone... and as these windows open... WLM connects with my email provider and brings new messages in my Inbox... and I can send as well.  Thinking that the Acct. email somehow has problems, even if it was connect and works well, I deleted the email acct... meaning, there is NO email accts established.  When I open WLM 2 windows always open.  It's like there's an email acct running Ghost\hidden... but it is not found.  I don't see ANY email accts appears in the pane on the right... and I had only 1 acct e-mail created.

I ran Windows Live Essentials Repair, that didn't fix the problem.

In Outlook, you can create a new e-mail profile and when you do it a new PST file is created.  Is this possible in WLM and if so, how?

I can dlete the file data .eml WLM... and when WLM is open as a result of the removal of the eml file, it will automatically create a NEW eml files?  I searched the eml file, I did a search... but I can't.

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says Show restore points more.

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Why windows live mail doesn't stop me to set up my gmail account using pop

I am trying to access gmail via Windows Live mail 2011.

However, I am not able to set up Gmail account in windows live mail using pop.
A message prompts me to use the IMAP protocol.
    Why?

The default value for the new Gmail accounts is to use the IMAP protocol. If you particularly want to use POP3, press Ctrl-Shift-T to start the Add your e-mail accounts Wizard. On the first page of the wizard, select manually configure settings, and then select POP3 on the next page.

Once you get the job account via the POP3 service, you can delete the IMAP account. Don't forget to read and act on the warning message that appears when you try to delete the account.

  • -Pop-up UAC every time when opening Windows Live Mail

Original title: Why UAC continues to appear whenever I open Windows Live Mail? Even after I uninstall and install again and again. And other problems...

Everytime I open Windows Live mail, the box of the UAC appears, asking me if I want this program to make changes... I uninstalled, installed and repaired several times according to the guidelines of this forum, but it continues to happen.

Also, when I delete messages, it removes the 2 at the same time? It opens also 2 boxes of response when I reply to an e-mail message.

Not a fan of Live mail.

    Salute TarHeel,

I understand that it must be frustrating, but rest assured, we're here to help solve your problem and guide you in the right direction.

Before I continue with the troubleshooting steps I may need a few more details to better understand the issue.
    1. you open Windows Live Mail from one account administrator or Standard?
    2. do you get this pop-up only when using Windows Live Mail?
    3. did you of recent changes on the computer before this problem?

    Method 1:
I suggest you run Windows Live Essentials as administrator and check if it helps.

    (a) click Start and click run.
    (b) type Windows Live Essentials in Search.
    (c) right click on Windows Live Essentials and click Properties.
    (d) click the Compatibility tab.
    (e) to the check box for run this program as an administrator under the privilege level.
    (f) click apply and Ok.
    (g) check whether the problem is resolved.

    Method 2:
If the problem persists I suggest you turn off user account control and check if it helps.

Note: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

  • Windows live email pop store sent mail on server

I tried to discover this for centuries and feel now, I need to ask in the forums to see if there is someone who knows the answer.

I set up POP3 in Windows Live Mail and everything works well, but when I send emails the email is stored "locally" in the "Sent items" folder for this account, but these do not stored online.

How to set up e-mail for e-mails are also stored online as well?

I set up POP3 in Windows Live Mail... How to set up e-mail for e-mails are also stored online as well?

POP3 is a retrieval method of e-mail from a mailbox. It only pick up messages that are newly arrived in the mailbox and deliver to the Inbox on your computer. It has nothing to do with sending e-mail.

If you set up an account in the mail client (in this case, Windows Live Mail) to use POP3, it will use another method - SMTP - send a mail. Some notice types including Gmail account, stores messages sent in the sent messages folder that you see when you access the Web-based e-mail account. Most don't do that.

If your e-mail service supports IMAP - yet another mode of receiving and sending mail - you can select which of the folders has synchronization between the client and the server, including the sent items. (@hotmail, @msn, @live, @outlook etc.) accounts configured to use HTTP automatically (and non-configurably) Outlook synchronize all folders between the client and the server.

So, you can configure your account to save the e-mail sent on the server if the messaging service is supported, otherwise not. Who is your provider of postal services (usually obvious on the part of your e-mail address after the ' @' symbol)?

  • What could cause the toolbar (hidden) do not pop up during playback of messages in Windows Live Mail? He works the rest of the time.

Windows 7 64-bit.  Recently switched to the screen.  I used resolution with 125% and visible taskbar, then move on to 100% and hidden taskbar because some things don't completely showing on the screen.  Not a novice.  I use Comcast XFINITY to my mail with Windows Live Mail as the Manager of local mail service.

I was using a Nvidia display.  I have never had to upgrade the pilot, but did check and found an upgrade.  Installation of the upgrade (307.83) resolution of the problem.

If you use ONLY to send and not calendar & contacts windows live mail (any version), you can configure to operate using IMAP/POP.  If you do not need to synchronize the calendar & contacts...
It is an excellent replacement for Windows live mail which is free to try (up to 2 accounts) that BECAUSE of the work with the new outlook e-mail format called emclient.  There is also a paid version. You can either get here
It works with Exchange, POP, IMAP and looks like Windows live mail.  Frankly, it's the first replacement I've seen that actually works.  I spent.
They have their own support forums, a decent product and seem to be the only replacement for WLM that has the appearance of it.
You can import all your windows live mail in emclient easily by doing a file > import > windows live mail.  This will import your current data of WLM in emclient
On the side of caution I make a copy of the entire record of the WLM and save it somewhere safe.

  • Windows live mail supports an e-mail address electronic yahoo or can I open a live email account of windows with a yahoo email address

I want to send a picture to my yahoo mail account and when I right click on the image for the image to my account yahoo e-mail sent my application in windows live mail account set up and because in the past when I was with another computer with windows 7 I have been unable to add my yahoo with my hotmail account account while I was trying to set up the windows messaging system. So, instead of trying to do it again. I thought it would be best to use this forum to solve this problem. Is this something that everyone has problems with?

It is not because of the difference in operating systems, Vista vs. Win 7.
    The question is the same.

For Hotmail, no configuration in Windows Live Mail problem.

For Yahoo! Mail, you will have to pay $ 20 to upgrade your Yahoo to Yahoo! Mail Plus.

Use this tutorial to install Y! More mail in WLM.
