Windows Live Mail will not send or receive e-mails. Also, Miss me all my old emails as well.

my windows mail does not work

My windows mail does not work I don't get and my emails even junk mail. You can click on send it and receive button it's not lite upward. All of my old emails are also missing.

For your search for old emails of *.eml.  The message Winmail store beneath C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows mail and messages must be in the local folders directory and the directories that correspond to records.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for background.

Try to compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and see if that fixes things.  If this is not the case, try to remove your e-mail account, closing and reopening of Winmail opener and then add your account again.

Also make sure this antivirus software not interfere because it can cause this type of behavior.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

  • My Windows Live account will not send or receive messages

I have the problem that is described in the KB2842520 - see below. I do not use Outlook.

However, the fix for the register suggested in the Knowledge Base does not match my registry entry, which is as follows: -.

What should I do to get rid of the problem? He worked under Windows Live Essentials 2012, but has since ceased and is now a hard foul. No response to * address email is removed from the privacy * please, because it is not good to my Windows Live login id, as it IS the problem!

I just realized that my title should say "will not send" rather than "send" - silly me.

    I fixed that for you.

the data value is MBI and not MBI_SSL

Only the difference is clearly not negligible if the removal of the value gets the job done. However, it does mean that all instructions for users of W7 should be changed. Thank you.

Perhaps you could tell me what hoops to jump through

    Basic steps:

    1. Use your browser to access SkyDrive. Sign in with a Microsoft Account - one you use to connect to the Microsoft Community site will be good.
    2. Click on the public folders, then on download in the command bar.
    3. Find and double-click the filename of the image you want to use.
    4. When the download is complete, right-click on the recently downloaded file, and then select view original. The image is displayed in a new page.
    5. Right-click on the image and select copy.
    6. Back in your post in the forum, click where you want the image appears and select Paste.

  • mail, and imap problem Vista - Windows account IMAP AOL will not send or receive any

I have the same problem as Marie-Claude.  Windows Messaging will check two email accounts, but the aol imap account will not send or receive, and it is my primary email address.  I have a security zone of windows asking for my username and password which will return an 800cccd91 error (I think) and the message that they are not valid.  The user name and password work fine by going directly on aol.com.  I turned off my avg antivirus mail and makes them require a secure password is not checked in the properties of the account.   I first noticed this problem yesterday after I had changed suppliers for remote access, but with aol imap is the only thing affected. My virus programs and spyware are up-to-date. I've seen several references to this same problem and the only other thing that I've seen mentioned that I did not is to remove and reinstall this account. If I do this, it removes all my emails stored under this account in windows mail?  What this has to do to my other computers running xp and outlook?  Other solutions?  Thank you

Delete and recreate an e-mail account in Windows Mail lost all the data. You would only on the affected computer. Be sure to restart Windows Mail after deleting the account and before recreating the account.

    If no improvement:
Your AVG antivirus has probably been installed with its default installation option that installs an email scanner. Just disable his e-mail analysis
is not a sufficient remedy. Uninstall AVG and then reinstall, but select 'custom' install, which then allows you to deselect install his embarrassing email
scanning module. Better yet, replace it with the free Microsoft security program:

  • My Windows Live Mail keeps coming back on an old unused account.

I use Windows Live Mail along with Windows 7.  I use it to check my email on GMail.  The original email with GMail address was changed to another email address. (I deleted the one with GMail).  I changed the properties of the e-mail account so that it matches the properties of the new email address. (This includes address and password and user name)  I made the changes and click on the apply"" button.  However, the changes you don't want to go back to the old account after I turned the computer off, then back on, or even if I use the computer for a period of time and try to check e-mail after this period.  What is the solution to this so that the changes are permanent and do not change?

Do you have any programs running that could prevent unexpected changes taking place? This includes any sort on security or program claiming to carry out the system of care.

Windows Live Mail is set to work offline, and then move all messages in folders account to records created by the user in the storage files. When you do not know that there are no messages in folders under the account you want to keep, right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select delete account.

Close Windows Live Mail and wait a few minutes while the program does its household index messages that you just moved. Open the task (Ctrl-Shift-Escape) Manager and wait for wlmail.exe no longer appears in the list under the processes tab.

Restart Windows Live Mail and verify that you always work offline (the button on the home Ribbon tab should read online). Press Ctrl-Shift-T to start the Add your e-mail accounts Wizard and add the account back again. To be on the safe side, before you go online for the test account, right click on its name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. Give it a different name that you just removed.

Go online and if necessary, click send/receive to begin a download. If you used the default settings, the account records must be downloaded and finally filled with the messages on the server.

  • Windows Live Mail 2011 program instruction manual or instructions email link...

I'm looking for a Windows Live Mail 2011 email program Manual or instructions... link

The links on the download page, http://explore.live.com/windows-live-mail?os=other are just for the promo... I can't find all the serious instructions for this e-mail program.

Most of the things are pretty intuitive, but there are a few things that are not.

Well, I'm the only one so far, I guess, so I ask and answer my own questions... Here are 2 links to instructions for Windows Live Mail 2011...

    http://www.freeemailtutorials.com/windowsLiveMail/optionsAndSettings/changeHowOftenWindowsLiveMailChecksForNewEmails.php

One is not so accurate, but I was able to determine where the tab 'options' is despite the false instructions and screen shot... dunno where they got these... but I found it anyway.

The second link is simply a link that comes from the tiny button (?) at the top right of the interface of WLM2011... almost too small to notice.

    Thanks numetro,.
