Windows Live Mail: Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F

I recently started having problems with my Windows Live Mail.  I get the following message is displayed:

Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Hvc.rr (martys40s). Header download for the 'projects' folder did not complete. Cannot select "Projects" on the IMAP server. Try to update the list of folders, and then try again.

Response from the server: the server has not respond to this IMAP command until the connection has been lost.

Server: 'mail.twc.com '.

Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F

Protocol: IMAP

Port: 143

Secure (SSL): No.

This problem is not only on my "Drafts" folder  It keeps popping up on 'send and receive' also.  / When I delete a message it keeps re-appearance.

I tried TWC who is my provider internet and after several times always, it is up to Microsoft.   I use Windows 7.  I have 2 email accounts.  One time is Warner(@hvc.rr.com) and the other is a MSN(@msn.com).  I have been using this same setup for many years with no problems until recently.  I tried everything, including the removal and reinstallation of all the programmes concerned.  I read the forums and nothing seem to fit my problem and the few things which was near did not work.  I'm not the best computer literate then check your answers as simple as possible.    Thanks Marty

So Windows XP you pretty much has the same result as Vista, regarding the sending of attachments. To exclude the server as being the cause of the problem, you should try another server. Get a free account with Gmail, which will allow
    you try their server smtp.gmail.com.

  • Windows Live Mail error number: 0x800CCC0F - beneficiary account an e-mail

I have Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2, 32-Bit. I use Windows Live Mail and it worked for 2 years with no problems. I use Windows Live Mail to recover emails from 4 e-mail accounts. The first 3 accounts working again (both Pop3 and an IMAP) - send and receive. It errors on the recovery of emails on the fourth count (Juno.com) and won't send or receive.

The error that says: "Cannot send or receive messages on behalf of Juno." Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.  ' Server: 'pop.juno.com' Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F Protocol: POP3 Port: 995 secure (SSL): Yes " sometimes, the Windows Security window displays first, asking 'Please verify that the user name and the password are correct for your mail server' with user name and password. Then I'm stuck in a vicious circle of this.
    Troubleshooting:
I deleted my Juno e-mail account and recreated. I disabled the antivirus and firewall, the same problem. Juno Tech Support tried having me change many parameters, including the outgoing 'smtp.juno.com' "authsmtp.juno.com" mail server, different port numbers, turned on/turned off authentication and SSL for both incoming and outgoing... they said they got me all try and they can't help me. And it has worked for years.
As a solution, I could get my Juno emails sent to my address (Gmail) IMAP, which then channels it in my Windows Live Mail, but I can't use filters to sort the mail coming this way, and it's just a waste.  HELP Please? This takes about 5 months.

    Hi Mick,

Thank you very much!!! I've been dealing with this issue since July and have endured countless hours of frustration dealing with staff of Technical Support of my ISP with no satisfaction. After all, I've tried, it's amazing to see how your solution worked.

I went to my Rogers/Yahoo mail server, archived all 1624 read e-mails in my Inbox and benefit services normal e-mail yesterday.

With your permission, I would like to send your e-mail to my ISP solution, so other customers with the same question, put around by insufficient support of the Tech.

    Thank you once again,

    Fred

    Hi Fred,.

I'm so glad that it was useful to you and thanks for letting me know.

For sure, share it with anyone because it is a very frustrating problem and this workaround can also save others to tear their hair out.

    See you soon,.

  • How can I fix the error ID: 0X800CCC0F on Windows Live Mail

Hello!... How can I fix this error message on my Windows Live Mail?... I use Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus...

Can't send or receive messages for the account "e-mail address." Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F

The fact that the behavior is transitional in nature and have no problem access to your * address email is removed from the privacy * accounts very strongly suggests the problem side of Yahoo (i.e., incoming & outgoing servers).

If you were not able to access your Yahoo account or the * address email is removed from the privacy * accounts, I would have suggested tweaking your maximum transmission network (MTU) setting - wireless, but it's clearly NOT the case here. [1]

Tip: Wireless connections depend as well on the strength & consistency of the signal from the router so you are to the router, the better. If your home has walls of stone or brick, the wireless signal will not lead very far (for example, an office on the first floor of a room on the third floor).

    ==========================================
[1] the MTU parameter controls the maximum size of a TCP/IP packet that sends your computer. If the Internet service provider has a limit to what can be received, your packages can become fragmented, thus causing problems.

  • Yet an another Windows Live Mail error 0x800CCC0F

On Windows 7, WLM, AVG with e-mail, scanning disabled, it's a continuous but intermittent problem. Sometimes I can get it without any problem, sometimes, I get the error 5 times or more in a row, then magically, it works.

I tried the other steps like checking the boxes on the right on the Advanced tab, no difference. Sometimes I have two error messages, but it seems to be the most common:

Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Bellsouth xxxxxxx. Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

I wish I had never started to use WLM, but I have so many files and cats of working/non-working sub that it would be a pain to walk away from it. Any help much appreciated.

The addresses of the incoming/outgoing servers were introduced a couple of years for all AT & T accounts, so it should not make a big difference:

    C:\Users\NB>nslookup pop.att.yahoo.com
    Server: www.routerlogin.com
    Address: 192.168.1.254

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: pop - fix - sbc.mail.am0.yahoodns .net
    Address: 98.139.211.220
    Alias: pop.att.yahoo.com
    pop - sbc.mail.yahoo.com

    C:\Users\NB>nslookup inbound.att.net
    Server: www.routerlogin.com
    Address: 192.168.1.254

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: pop - fix - att.mail.am0.yahoodns .net
    Address: 98.139.211.230
    Alias: inbound.att.net
    pop - att.mail.yahoo.com

There may be no end of the causes of error 0x800CCC0F, but it's a break executed by the server of communication that might as well come here as in the client.
