Photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery does not?
I use the photo gallery Windows for years. When I updated to Windows 7 recently, I upgraded to Windows Live Photo Gallery and everything has been fine until recently - all of a sudden, when I open it, there are a ton of pictures that don't charge - they are solid gray rectabgles or rectangle of generic icon 'island '. When I double click on it, my image opens, but I have to be able to see all my photos in the Gallery - is - anyone know why this is happening?
Hi Tatifl,(a) don't you make changes to your computer before the onset of the problem?
(b) what kind of image files you are trying to open?
(c) that you get the error messages?
(d) what is the size of the file you are viewing?Put the computer in a clean boot State and check if the problem persists.Note If the computer is connected to a network, network policy settings may prevent you from following these steps. We recommend strongly that you do not use System Configuration utility to change startup options on the computer, unless a support engineer Microsoft directs you to do so. This can make the computer unusable.a. log in the computer using an account with administrator rights.b. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER to start the System Configuration utility. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.c. under the general tab, click Selective startup, and then clear the check box load startup items. (The check box use the file Boot is not available.)d. on the Services tab, click to select the skin all the Microsoft services check box, and then click Disable all.Note: Following this step lets services Microsoft continue to run. These services include networking, Plug-and-Play, record of events, error reporting, and other services. If you disable these services, you can permanently delete all restore points. Do not do this if you want to use to restore the system with the existing restore points.e. click OK and then click on restart.Note: Reset the computer to start as usualWhen you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.c. Windows live photo gallery does not recognize fujifilm camera files
I used to be able to download pictures from my camera without problem. Windows live photo gallery no longer recognizes that the file type and used to download my pictures more.
Any ideas?

What format are the photos?
What is the complete error message you see?
If you work with RAW files so that they will not be supported without additional codecs. Unfortunately, the optional Microsoft Camera Codec Pack does not support the Fujifilm RAW files at this time. Another option would be to use this converter on the site of Fujifilm software:

(Please check that it applies to you before using it).

Windows Live Photo Gallery does not use default printer
When I print from Windows Live Photo Gallery it always by the incorrect printer default. By default, it uses the fax printer. All other characters to the right printer progames be default. And under priners Control Panel, it shows the green check mark on the printer default right. If I change to a photo printer, it prints very well. But then the next image always defaults to the fax printer. I use Vista 32 bit. The version of Windows Live Photo Gallery is 14.0.8064.206. The printer is a HP C7180. And I have the latest version of the driver.
Is there a way to get Windows Live Photo Gallery to use the default printer? Thanks for your help. Harry Karr
I think that the part Ne03 refers to a network or shared printer that is connected to your machine. For what it's worth, I have this entry in my registry.
HP Photosmart C4380 series, winspool, Ne02: so your entry (to me) seems pretty good.
Have you clicked on your HP printer and select the option "Run As Administrator" / Properties / Security and checked permissions, such that manage printers, records management, to ensure that everything is all right in there?
I'm still thinking possible "Bug", but are happy to be contradicted.

Photo Gallery Windows and Windows Live Photo Gallery will not open
Windows Photo Gallery does not open. This happened after trying to import images. Photo Gallery does not recognize the old photos so it would import duplicates, so I kept cancelling the process. Now it does not open. The blue circle goes as it will open up and then nothing happens. I downloaded Windows Live Photo Gallery, and it opens either. I have Windows Vista Home Premium version 6. On rare occasions, the gallery will open. What can I do? I read in this forum to rename the file, but it does not work. I did a system restore and that doesn't work anymore. Someone knows what can be done?

Windows Live Photo Gallery will not open error message on the files in offline mode
When I try to open Windows Live Photo Gallery, I get the following error message. "One or more files that are included in the Gallery picture is in offline mode and photo library prevents from start. Delete files using Windows Explorer Photo Gallery offline or ensure that all records are online and try to start Photo library. "I moved and deleted some files so I don't remember exactly what I had where it is impossible to define to where he was. I don't know how I can remove the folders offline using Windows Explorer, are there other options.
