Windows lost on inspiron

I have a dell inspron 1545 and it's supposed to have on it, but for some reason windows vista any he uninstalled? is there anyway to get it back?
I have
When I start the computer there is a window that you ask if I want to activate windows now and then asks a code that I can't find?

The machine should have a sticker that confirms that it was loaded with a genuine copy of windows on it.  This sticker has the activation of Windows on them.  If the machine is asking for windows to activate, then it has windows on it.   On a new computer, you have a limited time (30 days?) before that you MUST activate it, or it will cease to give you all the features.

If you can not find the sticker on the box then talk to Dell - he should be here.

  • Cannot install Windows 7 on Inspiron 15-3542

    Hello

I recently bought an inspiron 3542 which is preinstalled with Windows 8.1, 64 bit. My most important medical equipment that connects to the USB port supports only Windows 7 & when I asked him about the drivers for Windows 8 of the manufacturer of the device, they do not support Windows 8. So I have to install windows 7 on this laptop, for the hardware running.

I also tried to install windows 7 in virtual (VMware player), but the device did not work properly.

Now, the problem is that I can't install Windows 7 in dual boot environment because the disk is of type GPT & if I convert MBR, all partitions disc gets lost, including collection.

Now, if I do the backup 'Bootable' of my Dell laptop protection & recovery external HARD disk & convert disk MBR to install Windows 7. Then if necessary I'll be able to restore my laptop to factory state using this backup on external HARD disk?

OR is there an alternative way to install a Windows 7 (64 bit) for dual boot with Windows currently installed 8.1.

Download a Windows 7 64 Bit installation .iso and Rufus allows to make a bootable USB drive suitable for a facility with a GPT disk.

  • Windows 7 dell inspiron 1545

When I install windows 7 on dell inspiron 1545, some features are lost. For example, when I click on the volume button, it increases and decreases volume but this is not shown on the screen more, when I press Caps Lock shift it works but not displayed on the screen. Wireless button happens also when I press it, it works, but it is not shown. This problem can be solved?

Try to download the latest drivers available for your audio:

  • 2008 R2 and Unix services for Windows - lost NIS groups

We have 2 servers Windows 2008 R2 and 2 linux boxes running NIS/Kerberos.  One of the Linux servers also manages a secondary NIS server for performance reasons.  Synchronizes the UNIX Services that the Pb of account in the form of NIS to it, the other server will connect and auth directly on the AD server.  We've had this setup for over a year now and it is handled with problem.  Today, I ran the Microsoft Identity Management utility and lost NIS Group on the Linux server that works it's a NIS server.  On the Linux server that connects directly to the AD box groups all appear with a command id of the command line.  It seems that the Unix to Windows service app cannot be synced to a NIS Linux server.   According to me, it's a bug due to the fact that I recently updated the Windows 2008 R2 server two for the latest versions of patch a few days ago.

Have a fix for this or could Microsoft address the issue.

  • Upgrade Windows 10 - Dell Inspiron 15-3520

I currently have an inspiron laptop 15-3520 I bought in 2012, provided with Windows 8 pre-loaded. I have updated for Windows 8.1 and wonder if I can get the free Windows 10 update when it comes out. Any response would be appreciated, thanks.

The same problem after upgrading to Win10, my 3520 had a black screen and 3 beeps.  NONE of the resets/configuration/fixes traditional worked! The only way I have mine and a 3520 neighbors going still once was to remove the CMOS battery, that resets it enough to let you into the BIOS by press "F2" to the now visible screen - Dell - and then you can set the BIOS to reload the default values and restart.  Now you should be able to get your previous Windows OS or Win10 (depending on how much the upgrade of Win10 had before he died) - in my case back to Win7 and Win8.1 for my neighbors.  The hardest part is getting to the CMOS battery... take the laptop part (completely) AC/battery removed, remove the keyboard (4 small push in the tabs along the top of the keyboard) then remove 3 wires (all marked with blue color/tabs) 1.) Flip clip Brown connector for the right to remove the keyboard, 2 cable). lift 3 and connector Brown to remove the power cable (upper-left)).  lift up the Brown connector to remove the track pad cable.  Then remove the 2 screws of the now open hole where the keyboard has been removed (only 2 screws down the holes in Brown plastic, middle left and middle superior) now go back on laptop and remove all the screws from the bottom and then reverse vertical back and separate the top from the bottom box, must be gently hand repeatedly (pick is a great tool or a small screwdriver) around cases spread them up set aside.  The CMOS battery is a round flat cr2025 type battery in a holder under where the pavement was in the front middle of the motherboard (pop out by small screwdriver inserted into the slot on the left side of the holder). expect a few minuets to load disapate (could be as much as 30 min. wait if it is a new battery or your most recent laptop, mine only took a couiple of minutes...) pop it back into the holder and then back up the laptop (inverse of what we just did).  After replace the main battery and connect the AC press the power button and from the Dell splash screen should come up, press "F2" to enter the BIOS and the move tab to restore factory default and save them.  Now you can come back to Win (your version) and restore it back to what you had or fix/complete the Win 10 update.  I fixed the problem drivers/settings etc. and others around the net (just search your model/problem/hardware) and follow leads and now I have 2 running on 3520's Win10 job! I can get pics if it helps...

  • Good question about windows 8 dell inspiron 3521 with graphics card intel delay right click.

    Greetings,

I have an operating system running windows 8 pro on dell inspiron 3521. When I bought the camera, the problem was not visible up to 1 year, and then I installed "Tuneup utilities" for a scan and then uninstalled. Since then, I found annoying problem on my pc.

Relatek HD audio was working fine but then it started showing good results, but the sound from the speaker is not and or if plugged headphones as well. PC not dettect not any problem on the sound while troubleshooting. The sign of the speaker on the status bar when clicked and increases the volume of it increases the volume, but the sound and color do not here as well.
It does a strange thing when I trouble shoot using the sound properties and click 'TEST' test is fine, but I can't hear any sound good! and again when I click TEST on speaker, it says "this device is used by another application. Please close... "
However, the sound works fine without any problems for a while when I trouble shoot with 'Find and fix with device' or I restart the pc. But after a while this problem automatically. with this desktop right click question also annoyed me for the compliment can be! :( Help

TuneUp utilities and similar programs usually don't serve to ruin a Windows Installer do it do more damage than good. Stories like yours are not uncommon with these programs. Back up all your data on an external hard drive. If you did a restore USB with your system can boot from to restore factory settings. If you have not done one, try using backup and restore Dell to make one. TuneUp utilities may have ruined the Dell backup feature and the recovery and partition recovery so I advise to call Dell technical support and request a DVD of resettlement or recovery USB just in case. I prefer the DVD because it can be copied to a USB key and has no preloaded software, allowing a cleaner installation. You can then try to restore the factory settings and if something goes wrong with the restoration use Dell support to clean install.

  • Bluetooth works only on Windows 10 for Inspiron N5010

Previously on Windows 7 Bluetooth worked well, but as I updated my 10 Windows in Windows 7 there is no choice or not a single hint of Bluetooth in my inspiron N5010. Please give me the link of the compatible driver for this.

I downloaded the Bluetooth driver for this laptop of dell drivers and run as it is compatible for Windows 7, but it also did not work.

Well, at the time when the computer starts by displaying the "Dell" logo, press F2 (or del or something, I think it varies from one computer to another) to enter the BIOS. Then just search it Bluetooth option. Disable, save, restart, enable. Here is a picture I just pulled on the web at about destinn what to expect in the BIOS. It may be a little different from one computer to the other.

  • Ethernet/Wifi keeps falling since the upgrade to windows 10 on Inspiron 7537

After about 3 attempts to upgrade to windows 10 8.1 I clicked inadvertently this prompt annoying to try again, and finished the upgrade this time.

Nothing wrong with it except the Wifi and ethernet keep falling. If I do repair troubleshooting or deactivate/activate my ethernet card, then it works again for a few minutes before falling again.

I've installed every update that is recommended by the Dell Web site, but it has not changed. I have the Inspiron 7537

Someone recommended measures to fix this can?

The above didn't solve it for me. Someone else had the same problem

    Google windowssecrets dot com Windows-10-Realtek-PCIe-GBE-Family-Controller-Intermittent-ethernet-disconnect

or this icon might work for you:

Suggestion of his "Realtek RTL8411B-US Ethernet controller driver"- and valleys drivers listed are outofdate

Solution download the latest driver realtek.com.tw - Downloads\DellDrivers\Install_Win10_10008_05202016

This installed a driver 10.8.31 2016 date of 11/03/2016 and working pilot.

Phew! thus appears the Dell download downloaded drivers are out of date.

  • Unrecoverable blank screen after Windows 10 update - Inspiron N50500

Inspiron N5050, launched in January 2013.

Updated recently for Windows 10 without incident. The laptop worked well for several weeks. It is only after the updates started coming my problems began.

After each of the first two updates and customary restarts, the screen would go blank. There he remained for two or three days until that for some unknown reason, the office became visible again. Basically, all I did was start it, leave it on for a few hours and restart again. I repeated this process over and over again for a few days. I also consulted a number of forums online Meanwhile, tried some of the suggestions offered without result. Basically, everything seemed to go down to this boot, wait, re - start process again. This makes little sense to me, but something caused the screen become operational. .. There are nearly ten days until this last update.

As you can imagine, when Windows told me that the next update would be applied at the next restart, I saw it with concern and discontent. And this time it didn't come back.

With the exception of the white screen, the computer seems completely functional. The screen is not completely black, but appears to be backlit. There is a noticeable glow emanating from it. I am able to enter my password at the right time and he will finish the boot process.  I can't see anything on the screen.

Today, I inserted the recovery disc I made when I turned on the computer the first time only whether end with the following runtime error:

    "Program: X:\windows\system32\RESTORE7.exe.
This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team"

    Restore7.exe Application error
The exception unknown software exception (0 x 40000015) occurred in the application at location 0x4011398e
Click OK to terminate the program

Usually, I try to do all the right things, but it is doubtful that Microsoft or Dell will have any interest in solving my little dinky problem. So, I hope some of you can offer some suggestions. I'm pretty dead on the water and ideas.

douglasgrubbs, I hope you can see, because it seems that I might have found a solution.

I found an old monitor in the confines of my attic, hooked up to the laptop and booted up. Alto! I had a visible desktop. After a time, a message popped up indicating the need for a reboot. Not a cold, hard starting. A REBOOT! There are 10 Windows updates that should be installed, and they could only be installed on a restart. (This is the part I'm missing because I couldn't see it on a blank screen).

I clicked on "Restart now" on the message and let it go. (It took a bit of time to install updates)

Douglas, if you see, find and connect an external monitor and all updates waiting for you. This has been the problem all along.
