Windows Mail keeps asking for my username and password, and even if they are correct he still doesn't and comes repeatedly asks me for the info
That makes me MAD! Windows Mail - checking the user name and password &!
For the last few days my Windows Mail keeps asking for my username and password and even if they are correct it still doesn't and comes repeatedly asks me for the info again and again. I deleted the account mail twice now and re added it but it still does not work. I can send emails but not receive. I have McAfee but I aiinstalle only this yesterday so that isn't the problem. the error message is:-
Account: 'mail.talktalk.net', server: 'mail.talktalk.net', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR Authentication failed.', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92
Please help I need to retrieve my emails! Thanks, Sarah
McAfee is a huge problem with Windows Mail. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 if you want to use, wait until you get the job of Winmail.
Check if you can connect webmail and that works very well and it's not a problem on the end of the server messaging or because of misspelled powers. Then delete your account in WinMail, compact and repair the database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and make sure that you have disabled the e-mail analysis then add your account to mail back again and see if it works.

Have you taken all the measures that I suggested above?McAfee antivirus is among the three troublemakers albums for Windows Mail.It sometimes takes a while before the symptoms begin to appear.First of all, turn off e-mail McAfee analysis, even if it is rarely sufficient. Then delete that email account (because it has been damaged by McAfee),.Restart Windows Mail, and then recreate the account. If the problem persists, the only way you can prove or disprove thatMcAfee is the culprit is to uninstall it, and then using their debris removal tool:If you decide to replace McAfee, we recommend a free antivirusthe program that is no longer compatible with Windows Mail.Rather than move to another antivirus, another option is to upgradefor Windows Live Mail (WLM), which better resists the harmful effectstoo intrusive anti-virus products:Even with WLM, you must turn off email scanning in the antivirus, for the reasons explained here:Gary van, Microsoft MVP (Mail)"ddavid01" wrote in the new message: * e-mail address is removed from the privacy... *Thanks I have macafee. Windows Mail keeps asking for a password
I tried to adjust my Windows mail to allow me to send emails from my work laptop at home, since the modification of the settings Windows Mail won't get new emails or send emails without password. None of my passwords are allowed. This is the error no:
Account: 'pop.oneandone.co.uk', server: 'pop.oneandone.co.uk', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR failed authentication ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92
Any suggestions please? /
Hello Awel,
What Anti Virus client do you use? You have analysis emails incoming and outgoing option set? If so, then change your options do not scan and see if that makes a difference.
Please answer back with an update so that we know if your problem is resolved or if you still need help.
Sincerely,

Hello and thank you for taking the time to review my problems and for any help you can offer.
I am running Vista Home Premium, Windows Mail 6.0.6000.16386 and free AVAST version 7.0.1466 program v. When searching for error codes that I receive, I can see this is perhaps a problem with the anti-virus software, but no one says how to solve problems.
First error: your (or SMTP/POP3) server has not responded in 90 seconds. You want to wait 90 seconds for the server to respond? It doesn't matter if I have a bit of waiting time or even increase the time-out threshold.
Error number: 0x800ccc19, 0x800ccc67 & 0x800ccc90
Limit of simultaneous connections in outdated Avast. (Col: 0, process;) WinMail.exe [50]); port 25, Server (SSL): no, Server error 421
I posted this same message on the Forums of Avast at: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=104561.0, but have not received the answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you in advance for any help that you may be able to provide.
Thank you
M8TriXGlad to hear it's fixed. This is probably the feature analysis of Avast and most of the other AV e-mail programs. Keep the following in mind that if this happens again.
It is safe to turn off the analysis of e-mail messages. See:
Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email:
http://thundercloud.NET/infoave/tutorials/email-scanning/index.htmDisable the email option in your antivirus scanning software:
http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3And it is from Symantec, but applies to all anti-virus programs.
From:
http://snipurl.com/bmf6My computer is always protected against viruses if I disable e-mail analysis?
Disable e-mail analysis won't let you without protection against viruses that are distributed as attachments to email. Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect scans incoming files as they are saved on your hard drive, email and attachments to emails. Scan to email is just another layer on top of that. To make sure that Auto-Protect provides maximum protection, keep active Auto-Protect and run LiveUpdate regularly to ensure that you have the most recent virus definitions.

Hello
I am happy that it works.
It is perhaps that this has nothing to do with your system, but a 'problem' in the e-mail server of the provider.

Apple Mail keeps asking for password and won't accept it.
My iMac mail keeps asking for the password for one of my email addresses.
The address is... @hotmail.co.uk, when I enter the password it doesn't recognize it and declare it invalid.
Moments later, the mail is delivered.
A month ago I had the same problem which at any mail arriving. I tried many things and finally put in place a new internet/mail account in preferences. So, after having removed the old settings and reinsert the it worked, until today.
I have 2 other addresses of e-mail which are not affected by this bug.
This happened only since I changed to El Capitan.
Your email provider may reject your password for several reasons, including:
- You do not use your current e-mail password. If you updated the password on another device, make sure you use the same password on this device.
- Your email provider needs you to update or reset your password for security reasons. For example, if you have turned on googles two step of checking your Gmail account in Mail now requires the appropriate password app.
- Your disabled email provider or suspension of your account. Your provider of e-mail for help.

original title: disabling windows messaging
Windows mail keeps himself and interfere with games, etc... How permanently disable it... i have vista and it drives me crazy... only happened because he went for repairs after port adapter ac kept sparks
Windows Mail does not start by itself. Go to start | Search and type in msconfig and then disable startup items selectively until you discover which program is responsible for the outbreak of Winmail. Ask the store what they were doing.

Windows Update keeps trying to install K2686828 and KB2656369.
Windows Update keeps trying to install K2686828 and KB2656369. Whenever I tells me the installation succeeds only to ask again to update. I tried the fix - it solutions, and they have not corrected the problem. Also, I did a virus scan and found nothing. All my other updates were installed without problem.
This problem is related to the MSI registration information inconsistancies. I was able to fix by using a cmd "msiexec /i {C09FB3CD-3D0C-3F2D-899A-6A1D67F2073F} ADDLOCAL = ALL/l * v % temp%\repairLog.txt. At the end of this process, the two installed normally KB and I have now no critical updates in the meantime. I noticed that article 917964 described a situation where IE would not work if the repairs were made the xp without removal of IE8 or IE 7 first. My IE 8 works fine. By 917964, "before you perform a repair of Windows XP installation, you must uninstall Windows Internet Explorer 7 or Windows Internet Explorer 8 of the Windows XP computer.". If you perform a repair of Windows XP installation, when a later version of Internet Explorer is still installed, Internet Explorer does not once the repair is complete. »

NancyHi Nancy,.
Encryption of files and folders is a way to protect against unauthorized access. EFS (ENCRYPTING File System) is a Windows feature that you can use to store information on your hard disk in an encrypted format. Encryption is the best protection that Windows provides to help you keep your information secure.
You can make a folder and then encrypt it.
