• Windows xp locks just after the start

  It just started last night and today I got a call from someone calling themselves repair windows (come call of the India) and they state they know bad files have been downloaded on my PC one it needs repair - someone else has had this or know how I can stop what's happening, it starts and then once I got to the main screen of windows the pc just crashes.

  If you can not connect mode without fail, your next logical step would be to try the Recovery Console.  Once in the recovery console, you can try to perform a disk check where the problem is caused by a problem on your drive.  You must type a command like:

  If this does not work, you can try to replace your registry to a backup files.  The best way to proceed is to boot from a bootable CD (I like to use floppies for Linux Live free like Knoppix, but there are other CD based on Windows, you can create such as Bart PE, UBCD4Winand Hirens ) then follow the General steps of KB307545 from part 2, step 6, using the interface graph normal user on your boot CD to move and copy files rather than the instructions of line of order in the article.

  Otherwise, you can use one of the above CD boot (or your install in another computer disc) to back up what files you can on a USB hard drive before reinstalling Windows.

• Windows xp hung up on the loading screen

  I have a gateway LT2016U and windows is suspended upward at the loading screen. the status bar continues to go, but the light of the hard drive on the computer is turned off. When I go to the safe made it stops at the line multi (0) disk (0) rdisk (0) partition (2) \windows\system32\drivers\amdagp.sys to safe mode startup. When I try and make a last known good config is located just at the windows loading screen.

  you could also try mode safe mode with command prompt and see if you get anywhere with the machine.

  If nothing, i.e. None of these boot menu options work, then you should borrow a cd from someone win xp so that you can start with it and start the recovery console.

  I do not have a netbook, but its likely your bios can support USB boot.  in this case, you need a usb cd drive in order to use the above method.

  If using the cd xp is not possible, then your only recourse is to go on the net House books site and see if there are tips that you can use.   but I guess the only option they will bring must provide the step on performing a factory restore, that will wipe the drive and reinstall the original software.

  Thanks for posting in the Microsoft Answers forum! Just to clarify what you wrote in your post, you can follow the steps listed below?

  Inside of Windows Mail, follow these steps:

  ·         Select Tools

  ·         Select accounts

  ·         Select your desired account

  ·         Select Properties

  ·         Click the connection tab

  ·         Remove the check mark from'always connect using'

  ·         Click Apply/OK.

  If not able to perform these steps, when you have problems? This error has always been, or is it a relatively recent problem? If the problem just started, I recommend that you try aSystem Restore to restore your computer to the State in which it was working properly.

  Windows Mail uses the Internet Explorer print engine to print.  You can print from Internet Explorer?  It is possible that your antivirus software might be the cause.  You can try to turn off and then restart and see if it will print.  Otherwise, you will need to provide more detailed information depending on your version of Windows, what e-mail program, you are using and what version of Internet Explorer you are using.

  You must as a result of your Internet Service Provider (ISP)...

  Your password
  Name of the incoming server
  The name of the outgoing server

  After graduating from those, ask if the person can help you set up the email account. Once I got a new ISP and I also need help to connect to the wireless connection. I gave permission to access my computer remotely, and the person has had enough to set everything to me.
