Windows Mail that I manually click on receive Mail

I have to manually click mail to receive such that Windows Mail will automatically download.

The only thing I can think is that another program blocking.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and see if some 3rd party program may interfere.  Did all the work automatically?  If so, you can come back when it has stopped working.

  • I received an e-mail which I can't open or delete? When I try to remove it, a bulletin board is telling me that Windows Mail will restart. Why can't I delete an email on Windows Mail?

This is no e-mail spam but I know.  I click it and it will send a message that Windows Mail will restart and it does not start a 2nd time.  Then I try to access this e-mail again, Windows Mail stops and I have to restart Windows Mail all over again.  Does it only for that one e-mail I received 5 days ago and still impossible to remove.

    1. Check work offline.
    2. Turn off the preview pane.
    3. Click message header just to highlight.
    4. Shift + Delete.

If still no joy, try to compact and repair the database.

  • I get the empty error message when clicking on "send & receive in Windows Mail.

Original title: I receive a blank error message when you click "Send & Recieve" in Windows Mail.

I recently asked a question in the Microsoft answer that I could access Internet Forum is no longer my favorites to Internet Explorer 8 (although they were always on display in the folder My Favorites in my user account folder.)  Several fixes to this problem have been proposed, but the one that worked was when it was suggested that I might have a corrupted user account.  I was directed to Microsoft link "How to fix a corrupted user profile." I followed the instructions and created a new user account and copied the files to the new account. Was done to correct the problem, and now I can access all my favorites still in IE8 in the new user account.

However. I am now no longer able to send or receive messages in Windows Mail. When I click on "Send & receive" I get the box that says "some errors occurred while processing tasks requested. Please see the list of errors below for more details. "However, the box below which is supposed to list the errors is completely empty. I contacted my ISP (Virgin Media) provider, who did various diagnostic tests. They told me that this isn't a problem with their security, and they checked my account settings to make sure that everything is correct. They seem to think that this could be a problem with my registry. They sent several messages test (arriving in my web Virgin Media mail box), but for some reason are not getting downloaded in my Windows Mail. On a few occasions did pass the test messages (but only after I closed Windows mail and then reopened.) However, Windows Mail has stopped working again.

Just once, I got details of an error that has been ' ERR protocol error. Port 110, secure (SSL): 0X800CC90. 0x800ccc18 error number. "However, it was the only time. All other times, the error box is completely blank.

I would be very grateful if someone could help me solve this problem.  I'm very IT limited knowledge.

I looked in the links provided by Karena & Bruce, but they did not provide a solution to my particular problem.   I must say that I have noticed some improvements to Windows Mail but the button "Send & receive" still does not work properly. I can now send and receive messages.  If there is no message on my e-mail server of the Virgin, access automatically when I open Windows Mail. However, if a new message is sent to me and as I click on "Send & receive" Windows Mail is already open on my computer, I always get the empty error message. The only way I can access the message is to close Windows Mail and re - open once again, when the new message is downloaded automatically. I found a link that says this error could be due to a duplicate news account.  I found that I had two ms.news accounts in my Windows Mail account and remove one of them.  However, this has not resolved the problem, and I'm still only able to receive new messages by the opening and closing of Windows Mail.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

  • Windows security box keeps poping up when clicking on send and receive on my windows mail.

Hello, Im having a problem with windows mail, I can't send an email of reception in my windows mail whenever I open it one click send receive n security windows login box appears to want to me to enter my user name an password.

    Can anyone help? Thank you

First check that your ISP has no problems with his server.  See if you can connect via webmail, if you have this ability.  Otherwise, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties together correctly and the credentials it.  There is a problem when you get prompt that is not save information, so set correctly before you check mail.  If there are still questions, then find the interference antivirus (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3) and compact and repair the database where it is a problem (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).

  • Windows Mail - I'm afraid that the old emails in the files could be preventing me from receiving new emails

Original title: Windows Mail - collection of e-mail addresses over eight years for professional use - last year I knew trouple receive emails - are these two related?

I started my email account in 2002 for businesses.  As buyers across the USA would contact me, I would be filing their e-mail address in a file designated for this part of the country.  I'm afraid that the old emails in the files maybe stopped me to receive new e-mail messages.

    I have ten files of buyer for emails that are critical that I keep the emails.  1 has 377 emails.  2 a 206.  3 a 137.  a 4, 138.  5 a 79.  6 a 53.  7 a 63.  8 a 52.  9 to 19.  10 to 18.

I have too many files for customer communications.  What is too much?  Can I stop receiving emails?  My said any hosting company is fine.  This problem appeared several times during the year in th epast.  I keep my system as clear as possible, but I'm running out of answers.  Help, please.  Thank you.

N ° it is a very small number of messages and I tested WinMail in its beta with more 132 000 messages. The number of messages and folders is not a problem.  What could help occasionally is compact and repair the database, you can do it with my Windows Mail utility (www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/).  The most common problems with receiving mail failures are due to 3 third-party programs, such as antivirus software (seewww.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3), or having problems at the end of the ISP, which they admit not always.

  • Problem send and receive e-mail with Windows Mail

For two days, my Windows Mail service ceased to send or receive e-mail addresses. My internet service provider is Comcast. A Comcast tech checked the problem and determined that the problem is with Windows Mail and not Comcast. Any ideas on how to get the system in place and work?  When I click send/receive in Mail the screen shows 'Permission', request my username and password (that I have provide) eventually receive the following error messageAccount: "mail.comcast.net", server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR name username/password invalid ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92

Here is the answer.  Log in to Windows mail.  Click on tools.  Access accounts.  Click on your username.  Go to properties.   Click on the box under servers, click the box my server requires a secure outgoing connection. This must be a POP3 connection.  Under incoming mail must say: mail.comcast.net.  Under outgoing mail it should say: smtp.comcast.net go to the Advanced tab, your outgoing mail must be 587 & your incoming mail must be 110.  None of the boxes requiring sure connectrion must be verified on the Advanced tab.  On the general tab, you must enter your mind to email Comcast.  On the Server tab, incoming mail, you must enter your username & password.  Also, not everyone at Comcast knows what is happening.  I had to tell me that my email problem was caused by a virus, when in fact, it is because their system was down.  They had me go to Microsoft.com download a virus removal toll which has led in turn to make me lose my all the Windows operating system.

  • Windows Mail suddenly asking for the password and then argues that it is incorrect

    Hello.

I have my Microsoft Windows Mail related to my TalkTalk email address, and this has worked well for years. There always was a case of just clicking in the start menu E-mail - login has been automatic. Until a few days ago...

Now, when I click to open Windows Mail, I get a box of security Windows popping up, asking me to "connecting to mail.talktalk.net". I get my user name and password as requested (and which I've confirmed are correct) and login box reappears just - emptied - asking me to repeat the process.

When I cancel the logon box, I get the error: "account: 'mail.talktalk.net', server: 'mail.talktalk.net', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR user name is required ', Port: 110, secure (SSL): no, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC91.

When I continue my Windows Mail, I find that I can send emails, but have not received anything since the beginning of this problem.

Okay, I did a search for this problem, and it seems that although these error codes have something to do with my user name and password is not wrong. I checked all that, however, (Tools > accounts > properties > servers) and all the details seem correct and unchanged.

I tried to connect to my e-mail account on the TalkTalk site, and it works very well - and confirms that I received emails in the last days. Try to do it via Windows Mail fair results in this area of connection from upward (she didn't use to) and he accepts not not my correct coordinates.

    Help please!

    Hmmm!

I have a talktalk email account which has fallen into disuse, so I could do some tests.

I can connect to the webmail of TalkTalk OK so I don't know the email address and password.

I have configured Windows Mail with the correct information as stipulated on their help pages and get (almost) the same error as you, the only difference being the final code, which for me is20x800CCC9, so maybe you did a "typo"?

I just watched the service status page...

    http://www.TalkTalk.co.uk/service-status/

.. .and I see this open question...

28/05/2013 10:35 Open - Some clients may be unable to send and receive emails through email clients. E-mail is affected. Our engineers are aware of the problem and are currently studying Current

So maybe you just need to sit still and look at the status page?

  • Cannot receive messages - Windows Mail

Hello, whenever I click on my Windows Mail, an error message appears that says the following:

Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'the House', server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, error number: 0x800CCC0F

When I click the send/receive button to receive messages, I have the same exact message. However, when I spam click the message, a dialog box appears that is labeled "Windows Security" and ask you a user name and password "Logon at home please verify that the user name and the password are correct for your mail server".

Does that mean exactly? I'm trying to complete to the best of my knowledge, and no matter what I put in, it shows the error again box and says the following:

Account: 'the House', server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, server response: '-ERR [AUTH] username/password invalid ', Port: 995, secure (SSL): Yes, Server error: 0x800CCC90, error number: 0x800CCC92
