Windows media center error starts automatically at windows startup

Original title: windows media center error

my computer is a windows update on its own and I rebooted several times and each time windows media center begins with the little blue label in the middle of the screen. an error appears and says to close the program, when I click on that it does nothing the blue box is still n the middle of my screen and the rest above all. How can I stop start started wen I can't go to the application at all?

Hello

1. are you able to boot to the desktop?

2. what happens once the computer is restarted, it automatically restarts or are you to force the computer to shut down?

If so, then start the computer in safe mode and disable the option run program at startup.

Method 1: Disable the option run program at startup

a. on the screen start, navigate to tasks, click settings, click general, click Startup and window behavior and then uncheck the Windows Media Center start at Windows startup.

b. click Save to save your changes.

I also propose to consult the sites listed below:

  • Windows Media Center - auto-start.

When I go out a few games, Windows Media Center automatically starts.  It drives me crazy.  Guild Wars is the biggest offender. Whenever I go out of Guild Wars, place appears in the Media Centre.

Media Center can be deleted? -I never use it.

If this is not the case, can it be completely disabled, so I NEVER see it again, at least that I re - install Windows.

    Hello, Tkonian

Uninstall, go to start, Control Panel, programs and features programs, activate features Windows activate or disable, uncheck Windows Media Center under the multimedia section.

  • Error message Windows XP MCE in Media Center - error PID = 0 x 864 (2148), Thread id = 0x9e0 (2528) with ATI 650 Pro

I have an ATI 650 pro tuner that I recently installed in my XP MCE SP3 edition. Whenever I try to access live TV, Radio or when I try to configure, I get this message-"EHShell.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services! Application has generated an exception that could not be treated. Process ID = 0 x 864 (2148), Thread id = 0x9e0 (2528)
Click OK to close the application. Click on CANCEL to debug the application. "If you press OK, I get the message repeated, and the program ends. If CANCEL is pushed, I get this message, "Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted in an error code of 0 x 2 (2). Cordbg.exe! a 0 x 864 click try again to assign the process wait while attaching a debugger manually. Click Cancel to cancel the application of JIT debugging. "I can't find any information about this error on the site or the site of ATI/AMD. The Media Center included with the map works fine, but it's a pain having to go between the two, as the ATI version does not support or be able to play music files. I have the latest drivers and reinstalled the card many times. I have another computer with VISTA 64 bit - the card ran very well. I've upgraded to Windows 7, 64 bit - the card ran very well. I have it out and installed in the my son computer running XP MCE and encountered this error. According to ATI card should work fine.

Nothing works. But at least now I know why. The CODECS provided by ATI are not compatible with XP MCE (they claim they do, but if they do not, they are not software of care-it). After searching around, I finally found some that worked, but only after I had installed a comprehensive system. After a bit, I guess the resgistry became a litte crowded and absolutely nothing can fix this. After you have reinstalled THREE TIMES, I finally found that working codecs -http://shark007.net/ (work with XP Vista CODECS) to FIRST USE CELLES-CI! If you crowd with too many CODECS NOTHING WORK SHORT OF A REINSTALLERA! (at least that I have found)

For some reason, the update is applied to Windows Media Center via the Update window fails to properly install the Netflix plugin. • Windows Media Center ERROR: "some of the files needed to play radio or video are missing or corrupt." In Vista x 64

It was working fine last week and now I get this error in Windows Media Center, "some of the files needed to play radio or video are missing or corrupt.
Record of components Windows Media Center may have failed. »

    HUH?

    I use Vista x 64.

I looked this error and ran sfc/scannow in administrator mode.  It took about 15 minutes and he said that some errors have been found that cannot be fixed.  I can NOT open the log file to display errors, because when I find it and click on it, it says "access denied."

The basis going on, and made the Windows Update, I just ran on 13 April to break and corrupt something?

I fixed that by returning to NVIDIA 196.21 driver version.

  • DEFAULT DOWNLOAD EPG IN WINDOWS VISTA MEDIA CENTER ERROR ON ERROR CODE: MC EVENT VIEWER CODE 0 13.

No not someone arrive at a viable solution for this yet? I had this problem for about 6 weeks and tried all of the solutions that I can find with no luck. I think that now it is linked to an update of Windows but which when I certainly don't know.  When I do a system clean reinstall the EPG download will temporarily (I did twice now) but after just a couple of updates and when Windows update has done been thing guide refused once more to download. How the world would be a person understand this because when I do reinstall the system there are about 150 updates waiting to download?

Come on Microsoft Engineering people must certainly be a solution to this problem if anyone cares enough to explore the substantive issue. It seems that there are many, many others having the same problem.

The old post of 2006 has an explanation detailed on the error code 13 and the same thing applies for Vista too, this is why I mentioned this one.

I understand your frustration. The problem is essentially due to firewalls or things of internet security or antivirus interference.

  • Window Media Center, error code:-2146959355, could not record show. Live TV does not work. Help?

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my Windows Media Center. It worked perfectly without any problem since I built the computer more than 6 months ago. I have not changed anything, the only thing I've done recently is set up a homegroup on my local network using this computer. Except that nothing has changed.
A show is set to record every time, I get the error code. Also, I can't watch live TV. Help, please!
    Thank you.

    Check the event viewer.
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-Vista/open-Event-Viewer

    Run the Setup again.

Open WMC > tasks > settings > General > installation Windows Media Center > rerun the installation

    Does that help?

If the above does not help then try to reset WMC: -.

Open Control Panel > uninstall a program > turn Windows features on or off > scroll multimedia features > uncheck the box against Windows Media Center > follow the instructions on the screen > Reboot > open again to turn Windows features on or off in the control panel > scroll multimedia features > check the box against Windows Media Center.

    Now reconfigure WMC again.

  • Windows Media Center error C00D1199

I used a program called BandiCam save games/windows on my Windows 7 computer. I recently upgraded to a 2 TB HARD drive and transferred all my files to the new disk. None of the Windows files were transferred by my request and now Windows Media Player cannot read the. BandiCam AVI files. I've read that it could be the Codecs of compression used by Bandicam however until I transferred all my files he was running fine records. I tested on my laptop with the same file, and it worked fine as well. Is there a debug/repair for Windows Media Player program? Or could I just re - install completely? It always shows the error code: C00D1199

    Hello hillsiderWH,

Seems that your windows installation is missing most important files, I suggest you boot to the top with your windows media center installation CD and run repair on the windows installation. This will replace any missing files and I hope that your media center up and running. If this isn't the case, it could be a problem in the registry.
